Not sure why they describes themselves as the nation’s largest network if (1) they are recently new company and (2) there is no availability on the tri-state. Why not bother? Because Neighbor’s Trailer highly recommended to have a contract. This is even listed on their site and in NeighborsTrailerOwner . Being proactive and having the paperwork, tried to submit a claim during the rental period. I was told to simply provide a written message from the renter that the claim is true. Above and beyond Supporting documents with video and pictures were submitted. Including messages from the renter. Neighbor’s Trailer sides with the customer. I asked why? They say that renter says the rental occurred outside of their platform. Huh?? Where is the proof, rentals have paperwork, funds, keys, etc. What is worse is Neighbor’s Trailer threatens me with malice, and in wording, says they will suspend me. Being the good guy apparently gets you nowhere even with your proof. I wonder what the courts will say. There is a reason for contracts and paperwork, but no, Neighbors Trailer thinks this nor the laws apply to them. Bet this will be deleted. It is ok, I have screenshot this to spread awareness across the community
I shared my phone number with a customer to help get in contact so he could book a trailer but the admin team fines me $200 for it. It’s a warning but I’m still getting fined? Maybe just ask nicely instead of throwing a huge fine just to make a few bucks. This company is insane. Please, please, please stay away. a) your messaging app is horrible, it doesn’t load, it won’t let you see if they read it, glitches out all the time. b) $32 service charge per rental, per day?? That’s insane. You can’t even profit off the rentals with this kind of charge. To all my people with trailer that want to rent them out, BE AWARE. NeighborsTrailerOwner AND COMPANY WILL NOT BE HELPFUL, THEY WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF DAMAGES WHEN SOMEONE MESSES UP. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I find it crazy NeighborsTrailerOwner charges their customers a $200 penalty just for not following the guidelines! This is insane and very greedy!
The only thing I did was share my number with a customer of mine because this platform would not work properly! Oh and by the way they charge $24 for each transaction which is not too bad but following these rules of theirs is just too much for me, see ya!
You’re better off on facebook marketplace or GoEquipMe. These guys are a joke. Trying to recommend another trailer rental company and they block the message to their customer. Leaving the customer without another option because nobody in the vicinity uses this trash app.
Almost zero communication with app manager and very little instructions on how to go about renting and the whole process is a bit complicated
I used neighbors for the first time finally and was able to rent a large enclosed trailer to make a cross country move and it saved me thousands verses renting a commercial rental truck!!! Will recommend this to everyone!! The gentleman with the trailer was super supportive also even loaned me a couple of tarps!! Best experience ever!!! Totally recommend this!!!
I have only used NeighborsTrailerOwner for about 3 months now but so far it’s proven to be very successful for me. The customer service is also really helpful. NeighborsTrailerOwner can be a little confusing at first but once you learn how to use it, it’s a great thing. Looking forward to using this more
I’ve been a trailer host for about a year now and have contacted neighbors trailer several times. Their team is quick to respond regardless of what platform you contact them on. It’s made my rentals smooth and given me confidence in renting my trailers with them.
Renter was fantastic to deal with. The weather got real bad but she was in contact with me to let me know her status of return. It will be my pleasure to rent to her again
Despite the fact is a new enterprise, things go smoothly and pretty quick
Absolutely love how easy it is to rent trailers out on NeighborsTrailerOwner and the peace of mind the insurance option brings. Will be adding another trailer soon.
