App requires EU phone number - not disclosed for international travelers

Rejsebillet doesn’t work for international visitors as it requires an EU phone number to purchase tickets, but this isn’t clearly stated upfront. I discovered this only when trying to buy tickets at Vejle station, forcing me to use an expensive ATM to get cash for the bus driver instead. For an app serving Denmark’s public transport system that many tourists use, this is a significant barrier. Rejsebillet should either support international phone numbers or clearly warn non-EU visitors before download that alternative payment methods will be needed.

Useless

Although it accepts a US number, the signup never goes through using one.

Don’t bother if you’re from North America

Rejsebillet will let you put in a non-Euro phone number to setup an account, but you’ll wait until the end of time to get a confirmation code. You’ll just need cash to pay the bus driver directly. It’s like they didn’t even try with Rejsebillet.

Unusable, won’t sent verification code

My country (US) occurs in the dropdown menu for verification, but it doesn’t actually send the code, so I can’t use Rejsebillet at all

Does this work with US phone numbers?

We tried to buy the city pass with the old DOT app, but it sent us to Rejsebillet. However, Rejsebillet won’t send a code to my U.S. phone number, so I can’t use it. Disappointed if not accessible by international tourists.

No Support for Spanish Phone Number

App supports all other EU countries phone number except Spain (+34) for some reason.

Non EU number

App doesn’t work at all without danish or certain EU country numbers. 0 stars

Can’t get pass account creation

International numbers doesn’t receive sms verification. App is useless for visitors

Doesn’t work for visitors

I’m a Dane living in the US and can’t use Rejsebillet because it requires a Danish number, which makes Rejsebillet completely useless for visitors

Epic Fail

NT Billet worked great a year ago. This new app is an epic fail. The mandatory phone number does not register international numbers by sending the SMS. After three attempts, you are locked out for an hour. Attempts to resolve by contacting the company were unmet. Please fix. Tak

An update is needed

You are prompted for a phone number to access Rejsebillet the first time. It allows you to select your country but you see an error message if you enter a non-DK number. I can’t even access schedules. The bus schedule app I rely on is moving to Rejsebillet.

Please fix. Tak.

Useless for non-residents

Refuses to create an account if you're not connected via a danish IP it seems. Two people tried, none succeeded until a VPN was set up. So if you're in Denmark as a tourist you're out of luck (roaming traffic is normally sent back to the origin country, for accounting I presume). It's really quite provincial.

App not working for phones outside of Denmark

Echoing earlier comments….you can’t register for Rejsebillet with a non-Danish phone number. Too bad as you really need Rejsebillet to purchase tix in rural areas without a station. Seems it would be an easy fix if someone would just note all the flags raised here

Does Not Work for US Phone Numbers

Title says it all. You'd think they'd have done something to resolve this issue that has existed for at least 3 years according to other reviews. Other apps do precisely this type of verification, absolutely no excuse for this one to be as bad as it is

Not for tourists / visitors

I am danish and live in USA. All my friends told me to use Rejsebillet to buy tickets. Well, after entering my US phone number as requested, it told me that it could not create an account. I see under the reviews that others have the same problem. So apparently it’s only for people living in Denmark. What a joke.

Can’t use if from the States

I can’t use it because it doesn’t include a country code for the U.S. How can I purchase tickets if I can’t use Rejsebillet ? Your website should advise.

Functional, yet frustrating

Rejsebillet works, but there is plenty of room for improvement to make it more useful. It does not allow, or at least not easily, turning off Live Activities on the lock screen, either as a preterence or once a ticket is no longer needed. It also does not remember a payment card unless it is added separately. There is no accessible feedback form.

Apple Pay not supported

Although foreigners are able to register and create an account, Apple Pay is not supported as claimed.

At the payment method step, language suddenly switched from English to danish, and no Apple Pay Method listed.
