No Inclusive Access

JCrew is not accessible for screen readers for individuals that have low vision or visually impaired. Invert colors, voiceover, and other tools I would use to purchase these products do not work. Vision is a spectrum, and I’m disappointed that this organization doesn’t value my experience or ability to purchase the clothes that I love easily, and with the same experience as everybody else. I hope this message will reach the appropriate parties to authorize spending money to program for accessibility.

Terrible app

Doesn’t even deliver all of the information readily available on the website - like whether an item on sale is eligible for a promotion or not. Useless. Deleted.

Don’t bother, if you’re shopping for Men.

The main page of JCrew contains the sliding banner for current promotions, etc. It does not matter how your preferences are set, when you tap on the promotion it only shows the women’s page. There is no filter option to get men’s to pull up(I’ve seen the filter option a few times but it was inoperable each time). I addressed this with J. Crew way back when they launched JCrew and it still hasn’t been resolved. If you’re shopping for men, you’re better off using the website.

UPDATE IS THE WORST!!!!

JCrew has been fabulous since day 1 and I tell all my friends about it. Not anymore if this is the new update. It glitches and crashes constantly. Doesn’t load anymore photos while scrolling then crashes. I had over 200 ‘save for later’ items since this company changes its promotions every 5 days and now over half are just gone. Hate this new ‘favorite’ option, why are y’all covering the whole outfit with a logo for adding to favorites?!?! The website is worse. Just placed 2 orders and only my second is showing. Lost all my rewards! Will stop shopping with J.Crew if this doesn’t get fixed ASAP!!

Ads ruined the experience

I was so excited to download the J.Crew App… I have been a loyal customer for so long and thought this was going to revolutionize the way I shopped at J.Crew since there aren’t any local stores and I have been using the website. I can’t even comment on how JCrew is because I was bombarded by ads, I usually have 5 things in my cart within 5 minutes, with the ads it takes so much longer and ruined the awaited app experience. I hope they remove the ads, I won’t be back on JCrew until that happens.

Trash

JCrew is just about useless. Why ask me my gender preference and then still default to women’s so I have to change the filter every time. It’s in my preferences. Who thought it made sense to put a giant “double tap to favorite” button directly in the middle of the item picture? Why do you have to back out of the search results to get back to the search bar to adjust your search terms? They actually made it harder to use JCrew than the website.

Blocked again after resetting my password

Last time it tried to log in I didn’t remember what crazy password I made last time. No big deal… just go through the motions to create a new password then try to log into JCrew with my new password and says I have too many attempts. So….. this was like over six months ago and I thought I’d try again tonight and had the same results. Maybe it’s me, but also I don’t have issues like this shopping anywhere else. IDK, I could use a browser, but I who shops there? Not me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gotta have an Account

Cannot start JCrew without an account… need to login just to shop. No thank you.

Can’t use the app

After creating a new Sign in with Apple account, JCrew brings me back to a screen with a white background and no Sign in with Apple button. I can’t login! And, because JCrew requires a login to use JCrew , this means I can’t even use their app. Please fix this.

Requires an Account to Use

I just want to browse without creating an account. I’ve never seen an app like this. Please fix it!

Terrible app

I was so excited to see that J. Crew finally created an app but that’s where it ended. JCrew is terrible. You should NOT have to log in to use an app!!! If I want to buy something after looking at items in JCrew , then yes, but to curve people to create an account and log in just to shop around is ridiculous. I’ve tried using JCrew three times but always go back to the mobile site because k don’t remember my password. Who puts those restrictions on using an APP?

This app need lots of work

Set to show men’s but mostly showing women’s.
Select a polo and it suddenly shows “out of stock”(it shows available at beginning) while using browser on my desktop shows the same item is in stock.

Would be great except the ads

I assume they are using ads to pay for JCrew . They don’t do this on their website and with good reason. The ads pop up at least every 30 seconds and are beyond annoying and distracting, to the point that I don’t even want to shop there. The rest of JCrew is great, just like shopping online. Get rid of the ads.

Great start, but…

JCrew is very aesthetically pleasing, but without the option to access my favorites list, it’s not incredibly useful. Please add the wishlist feature!!

Great Start

This is a great start for a new app. I would just have a few suggestions.

1. Favorites- I can mark favorites online, but not in JCrew .

2. New Arrivals- the latest arrival (October) page looks chic, but very hard to navigate. I close an item and I somehow end up back at the start. Rather than tiles, maybe the option to swipe through the new clothes, so it’s a larger picture.

Favorites

Just downloaded JCrew . The item in my bag carried over from the website, but I can’t find my favorites or a way to favorite items.

aww, snAPP!

We’ve come a long way, me & you, J.Crew, since I poured-over my dogeared catalogue at college back in the early ‘90s. Mostly about which one or two sweaters we could afford winter semester (khaki rollneck), and debating with my roomies which male model was whose.

The final intro of JCrew hit me on the same level of that co-ed excitement!

With some letdowns, to be expected in a rollout. I’ve experienced repeated “hold errors” when I’m finally ready to pull the trigger on my full-price lady jacket. Neither color made it to my cart (even the pre-order) on any attempt. I checked once again today and ALL are now sold out, every size, every color. Also disappeared? All signs of my account, my history. It’s almost laughable. Fortunately, considering the breadth and depth of our shared history, I’m much too invested to give up on you now, J. Fall is approaching fast, and I’ve still got lady plans that require a specific jacket (alumni homecoming game in blue
w/cream trim). I’m holding out hope! I know you won’t fail me now.

It’s okay-ish

The general look of JCrew is nice except there’s a giant “save to favorites” button in the center of the pictures with no way to get rid of it. Makes seeing the item difficult. I find the website easier still so just used that to do some holiday shopping instead of JCrew . Since JCrew is new am hopeful the bugs will get worked out

Good but…

I was enjoying JCrew ; however, with the latest update my saved items are merged with my favorites, and I can’t access either list. Your loss. If I can’t see my lists, then I’m not able to buy anything off of them.

JCrew App

App design is nice looking, but needs improvement for better shopping experience. Hard to navigate to find what you’re looking for. Needs wishlist feature and ability to zoom in on images of products. Save for later feature doesn’t work. Would be nice to have this app Factory incorporated into app as well.

Needs updating

Love J Crew! Its my generation. 45 yom. But JCrew needs work. I have some shirts and want to see what to pair them with and its blank. Shopping the “looks” makes it so easy to click and buy outfits. I think they just haven't gotten there yet. I head to the regular website for this. (And even that needs work, alot of stuff doesn’t even match what your clicking on.) Also passport members, should get more… Also as of now you can not heart and save items you like to buy later. So just use the website for that. I dont see any real use for JCrew .

Needs a favorites option

JCrew is nice, it just needs an option to favorite items. That way people don’t have to search for the same thing over and over

Great App, A Few Opportunities for Improvement

Overall it works very well. It’s about time J. Crew made an app.

Pros: Keeps you logged in and can link to face ID. Easy to scan through order history, rewards, account etc. Great sized images for products in the scrolling menu. The shopping menu to click between gender and garment category is very intuitive to use.

A few notes:
It would be nice to see all the sizes of an item when I click onto it. Having to scroll to anything above a medium is lame.
I can’t click to the linked promos on the home page. On the website when there’s a promo “up to x% off” it takes you to those items; in JCrew it does not.
I’d also like to see the color bubbles from the website incorporated into JCrew . The row of colors make it easier to shop than having to click into an item that has “5 Colors”. It doesn’t have to be coded to preview that color version item on the scrolling menu, but the row of colors will make it easier for me to scan through items.
Overall, eliminate unnecessary scrolling and clicks. It should be streamlined for the easiest use. You did a great job doing that on the account management/rewards side of JCrew interface. Incorporate some of that into the product side and you’ll be golden.

Good start, few bugs

A step in the right direction for J. Crew. The interface is clean and easy to use, and I find browsing to be much more enjoyable than on the website.

However, clicking on any home page promotion defaults to showing the "Women's" category despite specifying my gender on sign-up. This requires a few unnecessary clicks to filter out what I want to see, every single time. It would be less irritating if it at least defaulted to "View All"

Reviews are also missing the best feature that the original website has: users specifying their height and the size they purchased with their review. Given the inconsistency in sizing across the wide array of materials and cuts J.Crew offers nowadays, the information rich reviews were always much more valuable and reliable than the general sizing information J.Crew offers. Reviews on the website still show this information, but it seems a decision was made to omit that information on reviews that appear in JCrew .

The product reviews alone are a reason for me to stick with the website, so hopefully they're brought on to JCrew in the future.

Good app but with slight improvements

I was so excited that this app finally had an app that made shopping so simple. But I ran into problems when using JCrew . I can now visit JCrew and see what’s news

Improvement area:
No in-store pick-up like the desktop version, definitely would be nice to have as an option.

had problems processing the order and no matter which payment selected it just didn’t take.

Really good…for the most part

JCrew is pretty super ….. but I still find myself using the website because it’s just easier. I’ve noticed recently that JCrew merged my save till later items with my wish list items and I’m not able to access it at all. Whenever I click the tab at top to toggle from my basket to my now Merced favorite and save till later items there’s nothing. I can see the count at the top of the tab but it appears that it’s empty because I only get a button to “continue shopping.”

To be fair, I’m unable to access my favorites using the website as well but it’s not been merged with my save till later items do I can still access those items.

Good but

Finally J Crew! But there’s a need for a barcode scanner

Love the app

I love JCrew, very easy to use. The only thing missing is a “favorites” button or heart button. Lots of stuff I want to keep in mind but not ready to add to cart!

Since when?!?

Since when did this app have an app?!? I am happy to see that there was one. It works better than Madewell’s. I couldn’t find where I could view my existing Favorites/ Wish list items. Will that be available on JCrew ?

Great app but a few suggestions

I am a gold tier customer and buy clothes for the whole family regularly from this store. When I saw JCrew suggestion online, I didn’t hesitate to try it out. I played around with it for a few days and noticed a few missing items to make navigating easier: 1) children’s shoe sizes can vary so the drop down option to check sizing quickly should also appear when reviewing the shoe closely. 2) when reviewing an item there should be suggestions to pair items with others (available on the website). This is a great add-on for the store too. Finally, 3) when I purchased multiple items and they shipped separately, the tracking numbers were off (not an issue online). Overall, this is great as it has everything in one place and saves me some time!

Great app so clean!

Love JCrew. Design is great and runs so smooth!

Seamless

I have to say JCrew is seamless, just like the clothes! So excited this app has an app!

Thank you

Finally the this app tech gods have heard my prayers. Such a beautiful app and lovely graphics.

The Perfect J.Crew App

It’s clean in its design which emphasizes the incredible clothing. Super easy to navigate and make purchases or just window-shop for fun. The new J.Crew is smart and modern, JCrew lives up to its expectations.

Wow Finally,.. So excited...

Now using JCrew 4 quick shopping of latest arrivals. and I liked Loyalty programs and birthday offers. I love this app MCP

Clean, easy to use

I just downloaded the new this app app and logged in easily using my existing credential. Then, I was pleasantly surprised to see my account details were correct and I didn’t have to set up shipping addresses. My order history is there too. Also, my shopping bag had the items from last time I shopped. I finished my order and checked out. Literally so easy, no issues, and JCrew is absolutely beautiful. Well done.

Amazing!!

So happy J.crew FINALLY has an app and it’s so clean!

Finally.

This feels like a long time coming and I am here for this. The smoothness is great. Visuals are beautiful. It also seems much more easier to use. Thank you J.Crew.

Past Order Viewing Issue - Resolved

I enjoyed using JCrew until recently when it no longer allows me to access and view my past online orders from J. Crew. The only past online orders I can view using JCrew are four online orders from J. Crew Factory, where I rarely shop; I have only made four purchases from the Factory brand in the past five years. I am a frequent shopper of J. Crew and J. Crew is where I make most of my online clothing purchases of which I have made several in the past month alone; having access to past orders is extremely important to me. Unlike the website, JCrew does not have a setting to toggle back-and-forth between J. Crew and J. Crew Factory, so I do not understand why I cannot access and view any of my J.Crew orders. I have exhausted troubleshooting efforts at my end to resolve this issue. Please fix this issue, if I am unable to make informed purchases using my past online purchase history, I will likely make fewer purchases in the future. Additionally, resolving this issue will change a 3-star rating into a 5-star rating.
UPDATE:
Within a matter of days, developers resolved the past order viewing issue with JCrew . JCrew , its usefulness, and swift developer response to resolving technical issue related to JCrew has increased my previous 3-star rating to a 5-star rating.
App is a useful tool for shopping an iconic brand!
Perhaps too useful. ;)

Beautiful app

JCrew is beautiful and smooth. The graphics and the experience are top notch. I’m such a this app fan and so happy they finally have an app, and that it provides a good experience. Thank you!

Great app

I was really impressed with this J Crew app. Very easy to use and designed incredibly well. Much easier to navigate than the mobile site. Great new loyalty program let’s you gain points, depending on how much you spend!

Shopping Enhanced!

I’m so happy that this app finally has an app now. I used to just shop on their website, and it wouldn’t be the smoothest experience. But now with JCrew , I get inspiration of different outfits and can now shop very easily! Keep it up!

Nice

Very fluid, good looking app. Large photos make a good use of screen space. It shows full outfits, including accessories, on the home page, which is neat. Almost makes spending money too easy 😂😂
