Just downloaded ByteTag . Seems pretty organized and it's easy enough to fill out.

Now what is not organized is this app's sales and customer service. During one of their black Friday sales, (Dec. '23), I ordered a couple of the tags that slide onto the collar. I waited around a month, and shipping was never updated. I contacted them. Didn't hear back for a bit, but finally got told they made a mistake and sold many more tags than they actually had. They assured me that soon, things would be straightened out. Weeks later, I contact them again only to get back the exact same reply word for word. I then asked for them to cancel my order and issue a refund. Never heard back. 🙃 Then suddenly, TODAY, I get my tags in the mail - no response, no order update or notification. Ok then. I won't be ordering any more in the future.

I purchased two bite tags for my two dogs a little over a month ago at the same time my neighbor purchased one for her dog.

We assumed you could set up a emergency contacts and setup alerts as shown on there marketing material. Although you can set up emergency contacts, only you will get notifications unless you pay an additional service fee. this includes even adding additional members of your own family or household.

The tool has a helpful walkthrough of how to setup your contact information, but the user interface could use some work. It will always give you a red alert and never let you go past 20% safety rating for all 3 of our dogs, maybe if you pay the additional service fee you can improve the rating. but we’ve filled out all the information except for adding additional paid contacts and still get a red safety rating of 20%.

In the case of our tags we got 3 different types,
Keep you posted on how they hold up. But so far they seem pretty good. Flexible, lightweight, and quiet.

this app is an absolute must have, and I am so glad I found it! I bought the ID slide and it fits perfectly on my dogs collar. ByteTag allows you to provide so much useful information about your pet so that whoever finds them has everything they need to know in order to help! The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because I bought the this app looking for an active tracking device, and with everything I read, I was sure the this app had this feature, but I have yet to find that. However, this app does have the option for the person who finds your pet to send their live location, and they can also call you. I feel 10x safer knowing my dog has all the info anyone might need to get him home to me right on his collar

I have worked in Veterinary medicine for 17 years and have personally seen the devastation that not having the proper identification on a pet can cause. I have also been the person that has spent days making phone calls, posters, online posts and doing anything I can to try to reunite a pet with its owner.
I love ByteTag and this technology! I have this for my new pup and he NEVER goes anywhere without it! I want anyone to be able to notify me, my husband, family members or just know where to take him to drop him off that knows him if I can’t be reached and this tag gives them that information, day or night without having to jump through hoops to call a microchip company or take a pup to get scanned for a chip (although I am in favor of microchipping also) I feel like this is much more user friendly, but gives so much more info than a regular tag can provide.
Thank you for allowing this technology to be available at such a great price for these tags, they are fantastic! I will be gifting one to all of my friends with a pet!!

Recently my beloved pet got away from our house sitter while we were out of town for our daughter’s wedding. It was a nightmare. I was terrified for my pup and heartbroken. Social media was great spreading the word, and that is how I found out about this app. We had signs posted, and help from great neighbors & friends. Ultimately, five days later, our pup retuned home apparently on her own. We were extremely lucky, she was safe & sound, although we have no idea where she was during that time. I ordered the this app the day she returned home, and I also ordered an AirTag collar. I’m very grateful that we had a happy ending and my pup is now safe and trackable.

The tag only works with ByteTag . If someone finds your dog, they would have to download ByteTag to use the scanner in ByteTag . Your phone camera does not work. The description is misleading about the GPS also. There is not a tracking device in the tag, if your dog is found and they download ByteTag and find your number. They would then call you and tell you where they are. A regular dog tag is better. This is a rip off, a good idea they never finished.
The other five star reviews are frauds. This product t should be taken down, how do companies like this exist?

So excited about having these, love the idea of being able to put all of this information on the tags. Both my dogs have one. Glad that if someone finds my dogs missing they don’t have to have a specific phone or ByteTag to help get them back home.
I think there is a slight glitch in ByteTag though, when I would try to set both my dogs’ birthdates, it wouldn’t select that date. It would sometimes select the month before or even select a different day, so I wasn’t able to put the exact date that I wanted, overall everything else is working great.

I have a 2 year old husky that’s a bit of a runner & two kitties that I use these on. I use the silicon ones because I can’t stand the noise of tags. We are very active & they have held up great! ByteTag is easy to use, we have tested it so many times. I love that you can add important details to your pets profile & get notifications when the tag is scanned. ByteTag is easy to use & works very well. My only complaint is that they want you get a subscription to add family members to your account (not just their numbers). I liked it better when it was all included but I get it.

Last week I was out to dinner with friends and there was a thunderstorm that spooked my 15 year old Havanese Chloe. She managed to squeeze under the gate of my fenced in backyard and ran across my busy street and was found by a very kind woman who scanned her this app and brought her back to my house. I have a video of her on my Ring and wish I could get hold of her to thank her! While I was on my way home, she brought Chloe to my neighbors house. I am so very grateful I had a this app on her collar- it worked exactly as it was intended to work and I am so so grateful to have her back! Thank you for a wonderful product!!

Setup on ByteTag is very easy, thorough, and efficient. I love how you can add and update the photos to show how your dog currently looks. It’s great how you can share information about your fur baby- temperament, medical history, helpful info for someone to know if your baby got lost. The tag itself is super lightweight, love how it doesn’t make jangling sounds, and is very cute and DURABLE!

I love this this app and 100% recommend. I’ve even ordered another as a gift for my friend who just got his first puppy! He’s so excited about it that his parents are now ordering one for their new puppy too!

First and for most ByteTag is really easy to use. My wife and I have two big pups that are not fully trained yet they always manage to escape our gates. Luckily we've always been able to find them but we would like to eliminate the possibility if we were to ever lose one. this app solves that problem for us, it took us about 10 minutes to understand how it works and when we leave the pups with a sitter or family members we can add them to our unlimited list of trusted people. The scanning and notifications are very quick and not to mention the ByteTags look very stylish on them. Thank you for creating such an amazing product.

I tried the AirTags for my dogs, and that was a complete and utter failure not to mention a ways of almost $100. ridiculous waste of money, but easy come easy go I guess. I can’t recall exactly how I came across this but I know that I ordered these around Black Friday because they had a special that was for $10 each when they are regularly $50 each. So I of course bought two for my two babies. So far, so good. I love how user friendly ByteTag interface is and I hope that people are not deterred to not approach bc it’s on the dogs collar but most people who do this are trying to help. Love these for my babies!!

What a beautifully made app! ByteTag works flawlessly and is so user friendly! SO much information can be put into the pet profiles- including their photos, vet information, health information, behaviors, and owner contact information. I feel so much relief knowing if any of my boys are lost they can easily and quickly be returned to me! They are all microchipped, but a microchip is only good if the finder brings the cat into a vets office, and if the microchip doesn’t have updated information then too often cats are not returned to their homes. With the Byte Tag- there is no confusion that the pet is lost. The owner receives a notification with the scanned coordinates. The information is easily updatable!! Just go into ByteTag and enter your new number or address. I LOVE the security of this tag and can’t believe I didn’t buy them sooner! Thank you Byte for making sure my boys will always be returned to me if they were to ever get out!

I just want to first off by saying thank you for this amazing product, I looked at the right time on Facebook and seen this and I’m going to be honest, I have never heard of this before until I was scrolling on Facebook and the add popped up and I couldn’t believe what I was reading. This dog/cat tag is highly advanced and it doesn’t make you spend more money than you have too. Those custom dog/cat tags from petco are cool but let’s just say you gotta change your phone number, u gotta spend more money on a tag that you don’t have in your bank account… no screw that, go with this app and you can change anything you want on your animals tag, it’s amazing and easy! Buy it now while it’s on sale!

Our dog is a runner. He's fixed, chipped, and has a tag on his collar with our phone numbers. A few months ago I saw the byte tag ad and thought I'd give it a try.

Yesterday our dog bolted through the front door as I unloaded some groceries. I think the rug or something prevented it from closing all the way. The little guy was in the wind. We followed for an hour before losing sight of him and looked for another hour. Finally I got an alert, someone scanned his byte tag, sent me their coordinates, and called me! Perfect! I went and picked him up, it was such a great re-union.

The tag on his collar w/ our number wasn't used and idky, no scan was necessary, but they used byte tag and we are so happy. Would highly recommend.

I just received my FREE byte tag today! All I had to pay was shipping it was like $3 and some change. Set up was super easy. I feel so much comfort knowing my cat is protected a little more if she goes missing. As soon as someone scans her tag I get an alert with her location!! This may not work if you don’t have a friendly cat or dog because it will be hard for someone to scan their tag if they won’t come to them. Luckily my cat is pretty friendly to everyone so the chances of finding her has greatly increased if something goes wrong!! This is a great item to have for extra protection. The only thing better would be an actual tracker like an AirTag or something but this is super affordable and helpful!!

I have a rescued sheepadoodle that was a puppy mill breeder. She is a flight risk always as she did not grow up with someone, loving and caring for her which makes for a slightly feral dog she’s the sweetest girl, very loving, very gentle, but with a great deal of anxiety, and runs from new and unfamiliar people in situations. I got her a Byte Tag because I feel like at some point, she will get away from me, and I know it will be very easy to find her. I have this in addition to an AirTag on her collar, which gives me security that if and when she does, I will be able to track her down and if somebody else grabs her first, I will know that she is now safe as I’m on my way to her. Brilliant idea! I have another for my goldendoodle and even bought a few for family members dogs as gifts. $10!!! Get some more!

After looking through some of the other reviews want to clarify some of the concerns other had! Only if you’re signed into your account already will the scanning of the tag allow edits to the pets info. The scanning feature in ByteTag work immediately and was hassle free! The tags came with attaching metal loops and look great! The only issue on my end was when I test scanned my dogs tag and wanted to ‘notify the owner of your location’ my browser blocked the sending coordinates part. I’m sure this isn’t the case for everyone and I could probably change my settings to fix this. If someone is going to steal your dog no amount of info on their collar that will stop them, that’s just the risk. I am just happy to have an easy to use tag for my dog that I can easily update if necessary with multiple numbers and our home location!

In a pinch I have used your tag and app in order to make my medical info more readily available if something unfortunate were to happen to me on my holiday to DisneyWorld. Please branch out. I love the rubber tag. It’s waterproof and will be added to my dog tags on my chain that I wear when on holiday. I’m not traveling with my husband, so my companions don’t know my complex medical needs or history. So, I’ll be wearing MY this app! Easy to use, I have two more tags, one for each actual pet, Horse the dog, and Tuki the dog. I’ll be setting them up very soon.
