Events trading is a fun and fascinating business, but this app is not a company I'd recommend anyone work with.
After it became clear that Biden would be dropping out, this app's head of markets - Xavier Sottile - sent a note out to folks that had traded in the "number of debates" contract on this app. What was in his clarifying message was, in my opinion, different from how the contract language was written. He specifically said to reach out and ask him if anyone had any questions. I tried emailing him several times over the following couple weeks trying to get clarification but never got the courtesy of a response. At this point I'm unwinding all of my positions on this app and will find an events broker that's more trustworthy and has better customer service.
They've recently implemented a fee to withdraw money out of your account as well. It's only $2 per withdrawal, but it still feels like a bait and switch because that's not clear from the beginning and it's certainly not industry practice for financial accounts.

literally couldn't log in bc it's not clear on how to create an account. i looked at my email and finally got logged in . when i wanted to get back on Kalshi it kept telling me "sorry where having issues" something along those lines for like 2 days so i just deleted it , but literally a pointless app

I’m a little guy just playing around with little money and I don’t like on Kalshi set up like I literally got to spend 100 I don’t even have that in my account. I’m just a small fry playing in a small pool so I have to use. Unfortunately the bookmark app on my iPhone to bookmark the main site because that’s the way it’s done where I can just buy singles and at my low bottom of the barrel price you guys need to fix that

I continue to try to go on Kalshi and have never even been able to log in. Whenever I open up Kalshi it says there is an update and sometimes there is and I update Kalshi and it says the same thing. But for the most part, there is no update and Kalshi simply doesn’t let me in because it is stuck on the Update screen. Very frustrating especially because I have heard good things about Kalshi.

I've been using the this app app for a while now, and unfortunately, it has been a pretty underwhelming experience. The biggest issue is the extremely low liquidity. It’s difficult to find markets with enough participants, and even when you do, the order books are so thin that getting in or out of a position without significant slippage is nearly impossible. This defeats the purpose of trying to trade predictions on real-world events, as the lack of activity makes Kalshi feel almost unusable at times.
On top of that, the fees are really high relative to what you can potentially earn. When you combine the low liquidity with the high costs, it becomes hard to justify any meaningful participation. Even if you manage to make some correct predictions, the fees eat into your profits so much that it hardly feels worth it.
Overall, this app has a promising concept, but with its current liquidity issues and costly fees, it’s not a platform I can recommend for anyone looking to actively trade event predictions. Hopefully, these issues get addressed, but for now, Kalshi just doesn’t deliver.

The option terms changed while the market was open to exclude a surprise double album release. This left a two hour gap in which the option terms were met and should have closed. Scummy move.
I do not trust a company that doesn’t respect events as they happen.

For years, I have been yearning for a way to blow the last of my inheritance in a mask of intellectualism. Event trading has filled that niche.

Super interesting concept with a solid app that’s straight forward and easy to use.

I’m in the process right now of turning $120 into nearly $400 off the kingdom of planet of the apes movie because I’m familiar with the series and knew it was gonna be good far above a 75 rotten tomatoes. Kalshi is excellent. I’ve always wanted something like this where you could trade on the success of a video game or something that you know would be great. This might be the key to achieving real financial independence which is very difficult for a young man and today’s world and I’m diving in baby!

I think this will be the future of trading. I love that I can hedge the various risks I face. It also helps that’s Kalshi is really beautiful and easy to use

I’ve used Kalshi for a week or so and I’m loving it so far. I love all of the different features and topics you can get into as well. Well done.

It can be, for a lack of a better word, glitchy at times. For example, I’ve tried to deposit money several times and it says to wait until the previous funds have been deposited. I’ve been waiting for days and it keeps saying this.
Edit: customer support did in fact help me out. It can take a few days to completely process my bank transfer. I’m satisfied.

Kalshi has basically all of the functionality of the desktop version - the only bug I can find is that last price on Kalshi (eg what's shown between bids and asks in the order book, or in "Activity" tab, and a few other places) is always the "yes" price, even when looking at "no"s. This differs from web behavior.

Glad Kashi app finally launched. Kalshi itself is simple and easy to scan and trade various markets I am interested. Highly recommend for someone who is looking for new type of investment

Often when trading stocks I found myself thinking A) if event X is going to happen in the world then B) which stocks are likely to go up vs down?
With Events trading I’m actually able to just make a trade based on the world event itself - with no indirection. This makes the whole process of trading a lot simpler and more accessible for me

I love that I can trade exactly on the things I think about - inflation, interest rates, etc. I had a really easy time learning about how to use this app as well!

Events trading is really sick. I’ve added them to my portfolio as a way to get more precise exposure on a number of factors that go into a stock. I wouldn’t be surprised if this trading instrument becomes massive.
The company has a lot of educational material, which made it easy to onboard and trade safely. I also like that there is no leverage right now, which makes it simpler and more safe. But I hope the company introduces leverage later down the line as traders build a track record.
Kalshi flows well. It’s easy to understand and manage one’s exposure. I also like using the order book functionality: it’s much better than other brokers like IBKR for example, where the interface is so confusing and convoluted.

I just install Kalshi and I love the features and the one best feature on the events is how the percentage of the trade outcome is going to be. I’m definitely going to invest and trade with you guys!!

Highly intuitive app which opens the door for an entirely new concept in portfolios. Will be using frequently.

Finally a product that allows investing in speculative situations!
I’ve always found investing in the market can be kind of boring, so I really enjoy being able to invest in other things.

I have been a this app user for 2+ years and very happy with the range of markets they offer. They iterate fast and have added a ton of features to the site in a short time. And the team is very open to feedback, which keeps the fun going with new markets. As they are CFTC approved, I feel quite comfortable trading over there.
by Eman2056
Support responds quickly and the team is always available. App has been getting better over time. Awesome platform. Just wish the fees were a little lower for takers (goes as high as 5% right now)

This asset class is everything I’ve been waiting for in terms of trading. You can trade directly on opinions on all sorts of things without worrying about adverse selection or whether your counter-parties have more information than you. Expanding commodity futures to include all sorts of real and tangible things is elegant and beautiful.
Kalshi and interface itself is incredibly clean and balances function with simplicity really well. The this app team outdid themselves again.

Amazing platform that offers something I haven’t seen anywhere else!

It’s as if Robinhood’s UI and Predictions Markets had a baby. Really sleek User Interface, really easy to understand and get the hang of, but also complex enough to have all the tools you need to throw your rent money on what the Temperature will be in Miami on the last day of the month

I was looking for a good real money betting app for politics for a while, and I’m glad I found one (finally). The interface is simple and they responded fast when I had a question. Going on this app makes me feel less useless for watching all the debates lol!

I recently started using the Kalashi app, and I’m genuinely impressed! The user interface is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. The performance is smooth, with minimal lag, and I appreciate the regular updates that keep improving the experience. Customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever I had question.

this app is hands down one of the best apps I’ve ever used! It’s not just another trading platform — it’s an innovative, exciting, and engaging way to make decisions based on real-world events. The interface is sleek, user-friendly, and makes navigating the markets a breeze, even for beginners like me.
What I love most about this app is the variety of markets. From political outcomes to financial trends and even weather predictions, there’s always something fascinating to trade on. The predictions feel grounded, and you can really see the effort they put into creating a smooth, seamless experience.
Kalshi ’s educational resources are a huge bonus too! They make it easy to understand the mechanics of trading and help you feel confident in making informed decisions. The support team is also top-notch — responsive, friendly, and always willing to help.
I’ve not only learned a lot but had so much fun using Kalshi. this app makes predicting the future feel like an exciting adventure, and it’s the perfect mix of entertainment and opportunity. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys making educated guesses and getting rewarded for being right!
