Try the Game out! (At your own discretion)

As a long time fan of the Cookie Run franchise, I was really excited to see another game for me to try out. I do admit at first, I was suspicious on a puzzle type game for this after Cookie Run: Puzzle World, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they handled this really well! There are a few problems though, namely the Difficulty Spike, the Gacha, and Life Potions.

The game is really easy at first, but gets really hard really fast (namely, the difficulty spike is around Level 60.) And they don’t give you much moves over time, and the heart system makes it way worse.

The Life Potions feel really useless, as the only “real” way to get them without spending diamonds are the decors, and they’re finite, and don’t give out a lot. It would have been way better for the skills to charge up as the level goes on, but that’s my opinion.

And finally, the gacha, which is probably the stupidest thing in this game. The rolling thing is really stupid and makes it really hard to even get a common soulstone. As of typing this, I literally only have the 3 cookies the game gives you for free. I really hope they rework the gacha soon.

But overall, the game is really good the fun, and has really good artstyle, and I’m hopeful for the game’s future.

Places for Improvement

Hello! I have been playing CookieRun for about a day now and am unable to progress past level 100. I think this game got too difficult too quickly. There are too many tasks and not enough moves to finish them in within some levels unless you buy extra power ups. Cookie powers take up too much resources to refill and you can't use any of them if you use it all up. The decoration aspect of the game is interesting and the gacha is silly. I don't like how there is one gacha for a bunch of little things. Otherwise the game is super cute, it would just do better if it were less pay to win! Can you believe the season pass is $9.99 usd?? The season pass for Cookie Run: Kingdom is only $4.99 usd. Make it make sense please.

Love it so far <3

I’ve had cookie run kingdom for about two years, and so when they announced this was coming out I was super excited! The whole witch vibe is nice, and new characters are slaying as well. The only thing is that there are a few bugs for me? For example, when I try to claim the daily awards for day 2, it says an error has occurred. Other than that, my only other issue is that it is so hard to get cookies compared to cookie run kingdom and oven break. Maybe it’s just my bad luck? Anyways- great game!

its good but

I love the animation and how lively the game is i mean the brought back gingerbright zombie AND DOZER we haven’t seen dozer in a while but i honestly don't like the gacha system i think its to hard to get cookies at least at the start of the game and the puzzles are just to easy honestly like a 5 year old can probably beat it the have 2 ways to fix the gacha in my opinion number 1 would be just scrap this one and get kingdoms or they could add a milage i think that could make it better im not mad at the new gacha after all its creative so i think the milage would be better.

Absolutely amazing!! :>

Honestly the art in the game is absolutely incredibly mind blowing, even just the tiniest things have so much detail! I feel as though people don’t understand how difficult it is to make animations and art, especially on a deadline!
The way the game doesn’t look like it was rushed or anything is beautiful. The art is absolutely gorgeous and I can’t imagine the amount of time and patience it took to animate and draw all those frames!
This is probably the most artistic mobile game I’ve ever seen! Not to mention how smooth all the movements are!

I honestly think most people play because of the amazing detail and artwork in the games. But the game in of itself is also entertaining and doesn’t get boring quickly! I’m glad that there’s no paywall or anything like that either.
(Sorry for misspellings)

I’m really disappointed.

I was so excited for this game. It seemed like it could have been really fun. But 60 levels in and it goes from a game that could feasibly be played free to pay to win with absolutely no leeway. I’ve already spent money on this game to try and help me progress so that I could see the story, but even that didn’t help me. Stuck on level 90 I think.

I’m so terribly disappointed because this game could have been so cool. It had an awesome combat system on the first boss. It has some adorable voice acting and a really cute and relaxing story. The art is amazing and I’ve been playing cookie run for years, since gingerdozer was the original gingerbrave. What a shame, it had so much potential.

By

Fun

It just came out a few hours ago as of writing this. However it’s already engaging and fun. The gameplay might be simplistic but the storyline, animation, and voice acting is amazing. I like the cookie features and customization as well, it makes it feel more individual then other games of this nature. Overall, pretty cool, I recommend it especially if you’re already a cookie run fan.

A very- Mid game

I’ve been playing non stop for a bit now and I can say with great confidence that this game is not made to last. After doing all of the tasks on the website to pre-register, I never got any of my rewards, only 5,000 gold. Which brings up my next problem, the gacha.

You mean to tell me that if you want to get a cookie you have to go through all of the pain of getting npc after npc, furniture after furniture, present box after present box just to get a CHANCE to get a cookie, not even a guaranteed cookie either as there’s all of the soul stones that makes it 100x more difficult to even get a cookie you want.

To add on. This game is the most pay to win cookie run game devsis has released. You mean to tell me I have to pay a bunch of cash to get gacha pulls (WHICH IS THE MAIN ISSUE) for Witchberry just for that to not even be guaranteed to get her?!?

Yea- this game so far is not made to last, and I hope to see some improvement

By

It’s okay so far but..

So I can’t even open my game, it acts like it goes in but it sits there just a black empty screen it doesn’t do anything with good or bad service/internet, now i’ve seen the quality for the game and it looks FANTASTIC DEVSISTERS!!! KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!!! Anyways, i’ve been seeing a lot of videos talking about how buggy it is, but the physical game works. I can’t wait to see it on my phone, just have to wait until an update for it to finally crush the bugs lol. Thanks for understanding, kawaiibabu/Claudibear

By

So I haven’t played but based upon looks

So I love the character designs look very well animated.
The block design would look better if it wasn’t just one color like almost every puzzle game like this you could add more detail into them like add stamps for certain colors but overall the game looks great and I can’t wait to play!

By

Amazing game! But fix someisuees in the gsme

Sure it is an amazing game BUT there's a stupid bug that won't let me play! It told me to download something but it. Didn't show up so I was like oh let me swipe up and Restart the game! And I just found a black screen nothing else but that so I try and try again nothing happens!
so fix your game!

By

i love this game sm

This game is really good, and i cant complain about anything considering it was just released yesterday, but i have run into a problem. The game has been freezing a bit but i can fix it by exiting CookieRun , other than that its a really good game, and im excited to see it get popular!

By

Really fun, some bugs

Its overall really fun, only complaint is there are some bugs with the log in rewards, they displayed them early but didnt give the reward, or how when you go to buy the reward pass its in a different language (went away after restarting the game.) But thats understandable since it JUST came out

By

Love the game, would recommend

When I first downloaded after learning about it, I was hopeful it’d be good and it is! It might be like Candy Crush but overall I do actually like it. One thing though is that it’s buggy but it’s understandable since it’s new

By

Overall decent

If u like the other games that dev sisters make then u would probably enjoy this one as well. The game has a interesting and casual gameplay but there are a few bugs that may ruin the experience of it. Like claiming daily reward and such. But besides that the game is a great game for some relaxing time really. Great game would recommend!

By

Beautiful

I have been a long time fan of cookie run so I’ve been scoping out withes castle since announcements. At first I was worried because of the tap to blast gimmick but the gameplay is beautiful and the story so far is adorable. I would recommend if you like previous cookie run titles. Also YAY GINGERDOZER

By

I’m writing the first review for this game

I’m so excited to play! Witch berry cookie looks so cute! And I’m excited to see dozer (who is now called gingerdozer!) I’m an big fan of the cookie run series and I know I will always keep playing the cookie run games! So let’s keep running with this new game!

By

It's actually fun!

Ever since I started playing the games from the cookie run franchise, i have always had such a blast! I got so exited when this one came out but i will admit i had some doubts. But this just never gets boring!

By

Awesome Game!!

I really like games like candy crush, and I’m also a big fan of the cookie run franchise, so i had to try this out. The lore and the cookies in the new game are all very interesting and have great designs. All in all, this game was really fun, try it out!

By

Good game not for f2p

Game is good and fun to play but once you break 89 right now you need power ups to clear ever level makes the progress slow and boring not a grinding game. Hopefully as time passes they allow for the difficulty to increase but levels 100 plus is all p2w and it won’t take long to reach that point

By

Could use some improvement

I just started playing this amazing puzzle game and let me tell you I got so addicted that I’m already at lvl 68 or something anyway moving on the the point of this, I think the levels should at least be a bit more easier and getting rewards such as the little things to help you during the puzzle (ex the hammer) to be much more easier to obtain than just level up and get just 1 or 2. And in the wishing system could probably get a major change like instead of it being dice just like in crk the witch would have a happy mood (epic) or an angry mood (rare) and then you just wait until you get the cookie and like that you would also get the decor items and critters and whatever else is in that wishing system rn. But that’s all I wanted to say I really love your games Devsisters and I hope you can hear me out and make at least some of these changes

Neat Idea, Not Very Interesting in Practice

I was incredibly excited for this game to come out, I preregistered immediately when I got the notification in Kingdom. I downloaded the game and I think I’ve given it a fair shot. The gacha system stinks, it’s absolutely atrocious in my opinion. The standard gacha being three dice, needing to try for like 4 separate categories, and they’re somewhat pricey to roll for. This isn’t even accounting for the limited gacha, which is somehow worse than Kingdom’s and only for an epic cookie(?) You can only get a few of the tokens from the free pass which is the only way to get them as far as I’m aware. The gameplay itself is shockingly very uninteresting. The little mechanics that keep getting added on are just dumber and dumber, and sometimes they’re just impossible to see (I’m lookin at you bubble jellies). The story is neat I suppose and the best thing about this game (the art) is not even that groundbreaking. Gameplay kinda stinks just play Kingdom. Hopefully Devsisters can come up with some actually good games with the wonderful Cookie Run franchise soon.

Cute 😽

This version is a combination of collapse with candy crush perks. It takes a minute to realize the positioning of the perks but very simple and cute. I play kingdom as my everyday game so I played this to get the goodies. For those that just want the gifts it took me roughly 3h to get everything. You just need to reach lvl 74 and you’ve cleared the first chapter.

It’s cute so I may casually play to progress the story. It’s nice to add a small competitive bit in the game where the game gathers a number of random people at the same level as you and the first 3 to complete the next 15 levels get loot and anyone below gets a low type of loot. Unfortunate the witch kitty is a guest kitty so I can’t plop her at the magic laboratory 😭 it’s the perfect place for her. The background is nice the castle just doesn’t match any of the fountains that I have 😕 but I’m sure devsisters will release more 👍

Fun but gameplay loop needs tweaks (3.5/5)

The first 90 levels are extremely fun, I hardly lost at all but the levels had some difficulty and getting special combos was so satisfying!

Now maybe I might just be bad but it felt like there was such a sudden skill curve. The game is very unforgiving since by winning multiple times in the row you get starting power ups but if you lose that all goes away. Typically later levels 100+ will be painfully draining to the point you’ll know if you win or lose within the first couple of turns.

The satisfying levels become a lot less common but they now feel like a breath of fresh air compared to everything else. Getting new cookies is now incredibly difficult simply because the rng system in old cookie run games allowed you to draw directly from the available cookies however here you have to roll for a chance to get a cookie then if you do roll a cookie another gacha begins where you might not even get a new cookie at the very minimum.

The game would be infinitely better if every level had maybe 10 more turns (and even then not all levels need that just the unforgivable ones), and the gacha system needs to feel more controlled because as of now it’s just upsetting rolling, finally getting enough points for a cookie gacha, and landing on soulstones

TLDR: gameplay loop is fun but can be unforgiving and gacha system is too random to be enjoyable

Pay to win

Man I was so excited for this I love puzzle games and I LOVE cookie run kingdom. There are some really great things about this game so far, the character animation is so cute and impressive, as well as the voice acting! I love the idea of being able to decorate the space you’re exploring but that’s where my complaints come in.. the gacha system is really horrid I feel like the CRK gacha can be even generous at times but this one is really pricey and even then you don’t get to chose what your roll goes towards so good luck getting the furniture or cookie you want. Not to mention the epic gacha I’m on lvl 195 and have only gotten to roll once it’s basically only accessible if you pay the $10/mo. The levels are unplayable past a certain point too. I can only play about one level per day now with the limited lives and nearly impossible levels.. I really wanted to love this game so bad it has all the I hope they can fix some of this in the future

Good games but some problems…

This game is fun and challenging. I love challenging games. I’ve been playing cookie run kingdom for awhile so I did what most people have done and gotten this game. I was able to past through the stages 1-60 pretty well but then it became more challenging. I’ve not given this game a 3 stars because it’s challenging but because the levels i’m on right now are impossible. And yes people have past this level but the advantages such as bombs can be put into a different place. The level i’m on right now it takes me 15 out of my 20 tries to get out of the waffle(I forgot what there called) and then i have to put red next to the other blocks for it to work. I can’t use the extra advantages because i used them on ones before. It isn’t impossible some times but sometimes it is. I completely understand if this is just me being dumb and if it is just tell me and i’ll take down my review.

A lot of potential

I’ve really enjoyed this game so far! I think the story is intriguing and I like the aspect of building rooms and such. I play a lot of puzzle games similar to this one, and I would say that I feel the levels get pretty complicated fairly early on in the game— not even in the normal way of providing a challenge, but more of a “i’m required to purchase more turns to get close to winning” type of difficulty.

So my biggest concern is just the difficulty of the levels. Obviously it’s good to have a challenge, however every single level past a certain point feels way too hard. Aside from this, though, I’m really enjoying the game! I’m already close to level 200, now i’m just struggling each level along the way 😅

By

devsis is greedy and lazy

literally just a cash grab. it’s extremely hard to move forward in the game. the only thing you can do is solve puzzles but after a certain point it’s just luck. unless you go bankrupt buying power ups and recharging your cookies skills. why don’t the cookies recharge on their own after time? i’m stuck on a level because, even with power ups and cookie skills, i can’t get lucky enough to beat it. i don’t think i’ll be playing much longer. CookieRun isn’t even loading for me now. the gacha system is insane too. i play cookie run games mostly to collect cookies but it’s impossible to get cookies in this one. devsis should just focus on their good games like kingdom and oven break. this game is probably going to flop just like brixity because you can’t do anything fun or progress without paying lots of money. i wonder who they had test this game. and who came up with the idea of making it impossible to progress without paying. maybe i’d pay if it was more reasonable. who wants to spend $10 on a battle pass for a mobile puzzle game? actually insane. the reason kingdom is so popular is because it’s very generous with crystals and other materials. and there’s more to do. i hope they fix it. if they don’t and decide to keep going with this horrible game play i hope they lose money on it.

Definitely a step up from Puzzle World

Oh boy where do I even start? This game is amazing! The people they got to voice act the new characters is just splendid. The story is also amazing from how far I’ve gotten. The game play is simple, and fun! I have gotten far within the past day, and OH MAN does it get hard. The level is either too difficult, or you have too little moves. But games get harder as you go, so I shouldn’t rate this less because of that. But yes, this is the most amazing blockbuster game I have seen, and it’s always going to be from the one who delivers: Devsisters. (Fun fact: Did you know that the jack-o-lanterns are from Puzzle World?)

Cookie Run never fails to deliver!

As a fan of the Franchise since Summer of 2021, It’s amazing and quite inspiring the flow of amazing content out to all these games! I’ve been playing Cookie Run : Kingdom and Cookie Run : Ovenbreak since Mid-Late 2022 and haven’t stopped since! These games are so fun! The story and plot always gets me hooked along with the fun characters! I’ve made over 20 fan ocs for the franchise, sunk tons of cash into the games, and have gotten hooked on the gameplay every single time, this time is no different! Cookie Run : Witches Castle a amazing puzzle game I would highly recommend to anyone who loves the genre! I can’t wait to see what happens next! - Audrey

I might update this if i see changes…l own every game lvl 250

I own every game in this franchise. I adore the cookies, their stories, and the love the devs have shown in most of the games.

However….

This one is very cash grab-centric. I am level 250 and am appalled at how MUCH things cost in this game for what you get. You make about 1,000 coins per every 6 turns, and 1 roll of the GACHA costs that much unless you spend $8 on premium currency. If you don’t understand why thats bad…the GACHA is uncontrolled in 4 or 5 categories, split between cookie rolls, furniture, and cards?? And you get no say in what you get. So, for the math of it, at level 250 i have been able to roll about 40 times WITHOUT spending real money and 32 of those rolls have been furniture, or cards. I only got 2 cookies off the rolls that resulted in cookie chances.

2. Both, were common not even rare or epic.

Otherwise, i had to buy them with real money. It took me a month to get to level 250 for reference. None of the other games are THIS bad and if the company just becomes another run of the mill cash grab app, i will regretfully need to separate myself from them. I do not mind spending money. I DO mind being shoved violently towards my credit card when i support all the other games as it is.

Very Frustrating Very Evil

I've given this game plenty of time and too much money.

The mechanics are very flawed despite being a completely unoriginal formula. You've got all your typical rockets, bombs, and screen wipers. But they combine automatically when used if they're next to one another. Not enough control over whether or not you want to use just one at a time, for example.

Then there's the usual problems from match games. Too many currencies. Too many microtransactions. Not enough rewards given from spending, either. There are plenty of rewards, but it's gacha so good luck getting anything you're wanting. I bought the season pass, I opened a piggy bank, I probably spent on something else already, too. I have little to show for it.

You'll lose just because you didn't want to waste one of numerous currencies just to get 5 more moves to potentially beat a level. Then win easily now that you've lost your free item combo. You'll get stuck on a level for so long just to try and get you to use all your resources. Leaving you more vulnerable to needing to spend money. On what? Playing a simple baby puzzle. It's the same evil tricks you've experienced before. The game is evil. The devs are evil. You will suffer.

Cute lil game

I am a cookie run content creator, and I have to say that this game is most enjoyable for someone like me who has a low attention span most of the time. Maybe not so much let’s play material, but more like those mobile games that you play on long road trips, which only makes me love it even more. The beautiful art style combined with the great lore/storyline and gameplay makes this game fun for me. The only issue I have, or rather with any cookie run game, are the in-app purchases. In my opinion, this season pass isn’t worth 10 bucks, but that’s really all I’m worried about. In my book, this is a 9/10, would recommend.

im a long time cookie run fan, but listen.

look…..i love cookie run, generally. and i want to love this game, i really do. but by god i just cant. i love the cookies and the story!! thats what made me want to play!! but this game is SUCH an obvious cash grab that it hurts. the day the game came out i thought it was fun and blasted through levels, but i got genuinely stuck at level 89. like, im serious when i say it was almost impossible. completely rng based unless you payed for overpriced powerups. eventually i beat the level by pure luck, only to be met by level 90 which was JUST as impossible. honestly i got so bored after that that i kinda dropped it, as i cant progress further anyways. unless they change things up a bit…don’t waste your time. just play ovenbreak or something.

By

Lot of potential, but extremely slow to progress

On one hand the animation, voice acting,
And overall visuals of the game are top notch, and I would be perfectly fine with a gameplay loop of completing puzzles to earn decorations and cookies to move into your mansion.

On the other, Jesus CHRIST is your progress in actually getting those parts of the game extremely restricted. Around level 100 rn and I only have two characters outside of the free common ones, and the gatcha system of “rolling to get a chance to roll in another gatcha “ is atrocious. I’m really hoping Devsis is listening to feedback and making it more on the level of other Cookie Run games

Cookie Run-Themed Candy Crush Clone

I haven’t played the game for very long, but here are my initial impressions:

• The game’s essentially just a Candy Crush clone with Cookie Run theming. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, I’m just not personally a fan of Candy Crush. To each their own, I suppose.
• The cutscenes are vastly superior to the ones found in Cookie Run Ovenbreak and Kingdom. Instead of having character portraits over a still background, now ALL of the cutscenes are animated! I like it!
• After 13 years, Gingerbrave’s brother, Dozer, FINALLY makes an appearance! Welcome back Dozer! Maybe they’ll add some of the other characters from older eras of Cookie Run that have been left on the cutting room floor for years.

The game seems like it’s got a lot of cool things going for it, but unfortunately I don’t think the Candy Crush stuff is for me. I wish the devs success, regardless!

Excited but saddened

I’ve been a biggest fan of Cookie Run games and I was excited to play this new game. But there’s a problem for me when it finally got released. Every time I wait for the loading to finish so I could play after I signed up I keep crashing when the loading screen specifically hits 74%, my storage does have lots of extra space, my device has kept installed and I shut off any running background yet I still get crashed out of the game during the loading screen. If it’s not too much to ask please fix it or lower any in-game storage you possibly can, thank you.

By

Good game but could be easier for F2P players.

I was very excited for the game to come out and see what it had to offer. It’s overall an amazing game but needs various ways to get items easier without paying money. The seasonal Gacha currency is not always available to have unless you buy the pass to get extra. This makes it hard for players to get seasonal cookies like Witchberry. The friend event was a good way, but to need each friend to get to level 10 seems a bit much, especially if they aren’t interested. A better way to do this would be get 4 friends to play or invite 10 friends. Levels like 70 are extremely hard and i couldn’t beat it without using at least 3 power ups first. I saw many people complaining about the same thing. The same apply for level 60 and maybe 50 for some. Another thing is Witchberry being a guest cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom. You have to beat the first chapter, level 70, and all you get is a guest cookie as a reward. You get more things but Witchberry is what people are looking forward to and possibly using her in arena. She’d be a good epic cookie, especially for beginners, because there no massive grinding involved in getting her. This would be a good way to get people to play both games for different rewards in each. It’s an amazing game but it could be better.

Not Free-Player Friendly

I’ve been brightly looking forward to this game ever since I heard that it would be coming out over a year ago. I was really excited for GingerDozer’s return into a Cookie Run game for the first time in over a decade, as he is my favorite cookie. However, this game turned out to be very disappointing in terms of gameplay. Don’t get me wrong, the art, cutscenes, and story are all great and stunning to look at (especially GingerDozer, he’s adorable!). But the rest of the game lags behind in quality. I’m at level 95 (or something close to that) and it’s completely impossible to progress now. It’s painstakingly obvious that if you want to get anywhere in the game, you need to pay for boosters, more moves, or power-ups. If the levels are as hard as they are now, you’d have to pay hundreds just to get anywhere in the game! I don’t want to have to spend my money just to enjoy Dozer’s much-deserved return into a game (this is the only reason I played). Not even to mention the horrid gacha system and how it’s nearly impossible to get currency to draw from the special cookie gacha. That is, unless you pay for currency. When you do end up with a draw, you have to roll dice for five separate categories and there’s only a chance that you’ll be able to then roll for a cookie. I wanted to be able to enjoy a game with Dozer/ GingerDozer, but this game is anything but enjoyable to play. Please, do better next time.

Needs work

I picked up this game because I love the cookie run franchise, and blockbuster games, but I found this game lacking. For starters, while I fully acknowledge that ftp games need microtransactions and advertisements giving currency and lives, but I really don’t like the seemingly endless cap on ads I can watch. I watched ads for lives on the first day, but I haven’t seen this option since launch. And I only ever claimed the “once a day package,” on the day of release. On top of that, RNG for the blocks seems to be rigged against the player so you’ll get so close to the end of the stage only to be told you don’t have enough moves. That being said, this is by far one of the most generous games when it comes to periods of infinite attempts to complete levels, and while I think there needs to be a way for cookies to passively recover energy, it’s definitely one of the least insulting freemium games I’ve seen, and getting to see cookies that haven’t appeared since the earliest days of the franchise and hear cookies that never appeared in kingdom like gingerbright and gingerdozer talk is nice! I hope this game gets some patches to fix these issues, as it’s barely beneath the hypothetical line where it begins to realize its potential!

By

Amazing! Just a few tiiiiny problems!

Ever since I discovered Cookie Run, I have absolutely loved it from the designs to the lore to the gameplay. And this new game is just amazing! I only have a few issues that could be fixed. One thing is the rewards. When you play and get rewards, it doesn’t really give you a lot to work with. Like, the gacha is 1000 coins, yet the max you can get from completing a level is around 200 coins max, so you really have to grind in order to roll once. The other problem I have is the level difficulty. Some of these levels get hard out of nowhere. I’ve only got stuck on two levels: a few levels right before the boss battle between the sheriff, and level 68. I’m stuck on level 68 bc there is simply either A) too many things to collect or B) not enough moves to complete it. I even used up all of my sidebar tools, and yet it didn’t do much. These issues are small, and completely understandable for a game that had just released a couple days ago.

But, with these issues, this game has massive potential like the others before it!

Never received promised preregistration decors

They had people who play CRK preregister and do quests on another site and promised we would get an exclusive decor for preregistered. I finished all the quests like many others and on launch day never got the decor. Only received the diamonds and gold for CRK but never the promised “exclusive item” for preregistration. They literally posted what the item was in their Twitter and were showcasing it, nowhere in the details did it say it was limited to however many, it just said if you preregister you get the item after completing all the quests which myself and others did and nobody got the decor we were promised. Devsisters has had ample time to fix this issue yet they haven’t, they just announce other giveaways and events instead of correcting their first major mistakes with the launch of this game. The false advertisement of an exclusive item to get people to preregister for a game is ridiculous. If you promise your players who preregistered exclusive items you should actually give us the items since we had to put or devID into the preregistration website to receive our items and we know you can easily just give us the items since we got our diamonds and gold already.

Love it, needs a little work :)

I love the cookie run franchise- Its so cool and really fun to play, from kingdom decoration, gacha, cookies, and lore. I was super excited for this new game, especially since witchberry was on the front page and I thought they were super cute. I was a little disappointed with the gacha here, but its nothing too bad, you just have to grind to get a roll. Also, the levels get pretty hard out of nowhere once you hit around level 50, which makes it difficult to finish the first chapter which I’ve been trying to do to get witchberry in my kingdom. Its either you have to collect too many things, or you have too little moves to do so. I know its new so its bound to have stuff like that, but it makes me personally pretty bored with it really quick. I loved playing this game even though Im not usually a fan of games like candy crush, but it kind of drew me away with the difficulty at the beginning :( still super duper cool and fun though, i love the fact you can rearrange the rooms and everything :) just needs a little more work

Way Too Hard

The game is very cute and unique I like it. The main base of the game is a 10/10 but the levels are just way to hard. At the beginning of the game it was fun to play because you could actually beat levels and collect stars to continue through the story but I can’t even comply chapter 1 just because of how difficult the levels get after 50. Not being able to pass through these levels is a major problem because players are gonna find themselves just getting bored with the game because they won’t be able to make any progression and personally for me I really want the witchberry cookie guest in kingdom and I can’t do that because I’m unable to beat chapter 1 due to how hard the levels are. So please just nerf the levels because I really wanna be able to play the other chapters so I can see all the new cookies and story’s. Overall main base of the game is 10/10 but the levels are way too difficult.

Amazing game, it’s a shame that it broke

The game (when I did get to play) was incredible, some issues like others have reported, but that’s normal for a game that released no that long ago. The issue I have happed after the sheriff fight, opening the restaurant, and unlocking the room for ginger dozer. I took a break from playing and I woke up the next morning hoping for a lucky Gacha roll for witch berry cookie, and my game stopped loading when it reached 25%. I thought it was an update or something but to my dismay, it wasn’t. Not only that but before that I even had a complaint, the “invite friends to play” wasn’t working. I sent the invite to my friends and family and many of them played and beat level ten (and even played more) but I didn’t get a single reward other than inviting for the first time. Like I said it’s normal for a game that came out recently, but this review system is for complaining and sharing opinions alike so I’m gonna use it.

Over all great game but it broke my phone.
Thank you for reading my review.

play the other games instead

ive been playing the cookie series for years and i know im walking into a gacha system with a predatory monetary system. im fine with that bc i can control myself, and i think its worth it to see such cute characters and have a little mindless playtime... i would like to actually be able to Play The Game though? the difficulty spike is INSANE in this, ive never played a puzzle game like this where the levels Genuinely Seem Impossible sometimes? i just dont have enough moves to even come CLOSE to collecting all the things i need to in order to beat the levels, and the bonus powerups are almost always useless or can sometimes totally screw you over. and the rewards arent even that satisfying for beating a level. great character and set design as always but the game just isnt even fun. i recommend reworking some of the level gimmicks to not make it so difficult so early on, or even just allowing more moves... but for the players, just go playing kingdom or the og run. this isnt worth it

I’m in the middle

I love the game and it’s so cute. I don’t understand though for some reason my collections area isn’t working? I don’t know if it’s just not finished in that area of the game and that’s why it isn't working but basically it has me go to the Gingerbrave card thing and I click it and then it says “This action has already been processed” and then my screen freezes and I can’t even click out so I have to close the whole application. I love how the levels are really addictive but I feel some are impossible to complete without a ton of buffs so it’s been taking me a couple days to get past just one level which takes the fun out of it when I really want to see where the story goes and see the new characters that appear. I hoping the collections area gets fixed soon so my interest gets peaked again. I thought it was my wifi at first but it only glitches out and stops working in that area.

Could be a lot better

You are kind of punished for being f2p; the levels get stupid hard and unless you wanna pay real money to restock your power up supply, then you will just get stuck on a level until the devs decide to send out mail with powerups in it. It would be a lot better to either make levels easier or add an ingame currency store/add other ways to collect powerups and coins when you get stuck on a level.

The gacha system is also terrible (why do i have to gacha for what category im going to get and then gacha again for what im getting from the category??) Ive rolled many times and i have gotten exactly one new cookie that wasnt one the game gave to me in the story. Everything else has been common decor or pets that serve no purpose.

I like the general idea of the game but in comparison to the other two this app games, this one is the MOST obvious cashgrab and the least enjoyable for f2p players.

Great game, but impossible

Ok, I know I’m not the only one complaining about the levels, but these are seriously impossible to beat without using all of your boosters and level restarts. When you have to use level restarts and boosters for every level, you run out of them and can’t progress in the game. I somehow got to level 95 in the game, but I cannot beat it whatsoever. To even get to the level I had to use everything I had.

To solve this problem, either make it so you have more moves per level or make it so that you don’t have to collect as many things. I understand that this game is supposed to get more and more difficult as it progresses, but barely anyone has been able to complete these levels.

Another thing is the gachas. For the seasonal pull, you can’t really get anything in there without paying money for the pass. Right now, it’s looking like the game is just a quick cash grab. The normal gacha is also hard to pull from as it takes 1000 coins to do one pull and the levels only give a maximum of around 200 coins.

Other than that, the game is great with fun tools and bits of lore. The cutscenes are an amazing touch and I love the room decorating aspect of it!

Please fix your game, it has so much potential!

Potential, but heavily relies upon payments to win

The premise is simple, something countless games have done before, but the additions make it more bearable.

The gameplay was fine up until a point where it went from 0 to 100, and everything was incredibly challenging. This wouldn’t be a problem if the gameplay didn’t rely so much on power-ups and getting lucky with the placement of the colors where you can get the good power-ups. I deleted the game at level 95 because I had used all my free power-ups, tried 15 times to beat the level, and just never got lucky enough with the placement to fully beat it. It’s clear that is does this to encourage players to pay money in order to beat the levels, but I don’t want to do that. It was more frustrating than enjoyable at that point, so that’s why I deleted CookieRun .

Also, the odds for the gacha are horrible. It takes you so long to roll enough cookies to get a chance at a new character, but every time, it’s the soulstones of a character you already have. It’s more trouble than it’s worth.

The game lacks enough right now that all of the bad outshines the good. I hope the difficulty gets fixed in the future, but for now, it stays deleted.

The gacha fix update has made this app great!

Everyone review bombed CookieRun because of its gacha system, which I initially agreed was lacking. After they fixed it this game has been a ton of fun. The animations are amazing, the story is fun, and it’s generally pretty generous with power ups and everything. There has been times where I’ve been stuck on a level for a few days and that has been extremely frustrating, but I feel like that comes with this type of game and I eventually passed the level naturally. I haven’t spent any money on CookieRun and I’m already several hundred levels in. The decorations are adorable and customizing a room for your fav cookie with their decor is so much fun. I feel like people expect this game to be a crk 2.0 and it’s not, it’s a candy crush kinda game. Even still, all the content in it has made it so much fun and I highly recommend

Love it but has issues

Honestly I never thought I’d be seeing myself play a cookie game where you’re fighting cake dogs and other cookies but I ended up doing just that and when I heard that there was a new game I HAD to get it I was having so much fun but then level 56 I only get 28 moves to get like 50 of each thing and I get it the point of it is to challenge but it’s just irratating because I use it to relax so I come home sit down grab my phone and tap away! But I can’t do that if I don’t have enough moves I’m not saying that you shouldn’t get this game, I mean yeah it’s AMAZING but if you do get which I hope you do just don’t get stuck like I did ok

Thank you for reading this
