If you are considering using Solo for food delivery work, don’t bother. It promises a “guaranteed rate” if you don’t meet a certain pay per hour, but in reality, that is just a misleading gimmick to get you on the platform, and you will have to not only pay to use Solo , but pay to schedule the “guaranteed rate”. The apps tracking system is completely unreliable, often failing to log work time and pay completely. When you inevitably do not hit the guaranteed earnings (in the unlikely event that they “tracked your time and pay correctly”), support will conveniently have no record of your missing pay or claim you did not qualify due to technicalities they never disclosed upfront. They will say they will escalate the problem to their “engineers” and then give you free credits to just use to schedule more “guarantees” that you’ll never get. They owe me at least $40 at this point and I’ve seen $2. It’s a total joke.

Beyond the false promises, Solo itself is glitchy, inaccurate, and frustrating to use. You will waste more time fighting for the pay you were promised than actually earning.

Bottom line: Solo is a scam. It preys on gig workers by advertising security that does not exist. Stick to more reputable platforms. This one is NOT worth the headache.

I wanted to see if Solo was actually worth the hype. I drive for Uber and Lyft regularly, and given the pay cuts I was excited to see if Solo could actually help boost earnings.

Well, can’t see what they offer until you subscribe. So, I did. I figured, $6 is worth checking. So I subscribe. Turns out, I can’t check that info for the $6 subscription. This was not clear to me. Annoyed, I decide I still want to find out. So I pay for the $11 subscription. They charged me for BOTH subscriptions, not the difference, which was not clear at all in Solo .

To make matters worse, when I actually get to see the information I’m looking for, I realize that Solo is a scam, plain and simple. If you ever earn as low as they suggest for the daily earnings, then you’re screwing up so badly I can’t fathom what you’re doing.

So now I’m really upset. I uninstall Solo immediately and contact apple to request a refund. And I’m told, twice, without any further option, that I cannot refund this purchase. So they screwed me out of TWO subscriptions for a service that I cannot imagine using in my market.

If the team that’s doing this shady crap is reading this, you owe me $17 and 3 hours of my time.

Do not download you aren’t gonna get paid anything and will literally just waste your time and money. You have to buy credits to guarantee the hours you chose to work but if you make more than the couple credits you chose for the day you get nothing and they don’t tell you that. For example I guaranteed 7 hours which was like $120 and since I made more than 120 the whole week I don’t get anything which they don’t tell you that and from how they put it makes it seam like for the hours you chose and scheduled at certain time. It was all a lie and now they won’t even email me back to at least explain

I am a veteran rideshare driver. Tried Solo out, and it was useless. I couldn’t log my trips and the “guaranteed pay” option was non existent. I made sure to cancel my subscription before the trial was up, but there was no obvious way to do this. So I just deleted my entire account completely, which you would think would be plenty to end the subscription. It wasnt. I was charged $46 after I deleted my entire account. I complained and was promised a full refund. That was a month ago and still nothing. I don’t even get a response back to my emails. Solo is trash and their subscription is another example of predatory and shady business practice. STAY AWAY!!!!

It says that the average income for Lyft in Atlanta is $14/hr lol. No it’s not. I’ve consistently made $24-$30/hour in Atlanta doing Lyft. So how am I supposed to use Solo? I can’t. I’d be paying for nothing. Maybe this works out for smaller cities? Idk. But if you’re not getting the averages correct then there’s not much of a point in using Solo. There’s definitely no purpose in paying for it. The peak times to drive are hit and miss and it doesn’t accurately hit what times are best for what parts of Atlanta and the outskirts. It’s just not up to par imo. Not enough to ask for a subscription fee. I’d be spending money for no reason and in this economy lol no. That’s not happening.

i tried the this app app in order to take advantage of what they claim is "guaranteed pay". in reality they only pay you if the time you are on an active job (uber, doordash etc) is less paying less per hour than their "guarantee". essentially, if you "guarantee" any hour on this app, you have to have an active job(s) taking place in one of the apps that entire hour or else this app reduces their guarantee by dividing it by the time you were active on a job. so you may think you're guaranteeing a full hour but if you can a job for only 5 or 10 minutes than this app divides their guarantee by that active time. in the this app app it looks like you are all set to make say $15 for the guaranteed hour but in reality, if you are not active on a job in one of the apps the guarantee goes way down. after testing it for weeks they only ever paid me about 50 cents even though i "guaranteed" at least 8 hrs a day every day. don't use Solo for any of the guarantee features unless you read over the terms very carefully. it's setup for them to get your monthly membership payment buy their credits then never get paid out from their "guarantee" unless it's a few cents here and there. the other milage tracking factors are good, but it pales in comparison to the misleading "guarantees" they offer.

I purchased credits and all schedule through Solo linking my DoorDash account and scheduled for guarantee pay it says $170 guaranteed for the week and it keeps saying wait 24-48 hours to receive funds through the PayPal account I linked with this app and it’s been well over an week I have not received not one cent I’ve sent numerous emails and continue to receive automated response saying the same thing about receiving automatic payouts to my PayPal after 48 hours of each day I worked is revised still not a cent. I have wasted money into buying credits which you’ll need to schedule for guarantee pay and pay for an subscription just to still my money and receive not a cent like the economy and inflation isn’t bad enough people really create an app to steal peoples money. There is no phone number to reach an actual individual at all I should have researched Solo better. Never again!!!

I’ve been using this app for about six months now and it’s been great until the last month or so. this app now only links with five gig apps. Those apps are Uber, Uber eats, Lyft, DoorDash and Grubhub. The developer has been responding to other reviews saying email us and will help you with connection “errors”. However, the issue is not a connection error, the issue is that links to other gig gaps do not exist in Solo at all.. There is no spark, there is no Instacart, and all the other gig gaps in their list of supposedly compatible apps are completely gone from Solo . The 5 apps I listed are the only options provided when you go to link an account. I suggest moving on to a new solution, this developer is dishonest. Don’t trust them with your money.

UPDATE: Dev’s responded with basically the same garbage about errors and “email us so we can help” bologna. I don’t think they even read the review. You can’t connect spark to this app if the functionality doesn’t exist! I’m not getting errors. Out of all the gig apps this app advertises as being compatible, only 5 actually are. Spark and instacart have been completely removed from this app, along with many others.

I got a free trial of Solo & made a few dollars so I decided to subscribe. After using Solo twice I got up to do Lyft after guaranteeing like 14 hours and all of a sudden at 3am I can’t log in, Solo doesn’t recognize my phone number or email and when I tried to just make another account I got an error message that says city validation failed. I left Solo open after I scheduled my day & when I went to Solo before I started driving it said I needed to link my account to see real data and so I tried to log in but wasn’t able to use my phone number OR email, so I couldn’t even log in to get help. Solo was great & I thought it would be a great help but at 3am when I’m just trying to get my rides done it became an unnecessary headache and frankly I want my money back.

This is an honest review. I was excited when I read what this app can do for me as a side hustler. I have used and still using the Gridwise app which does everything this app does but more accurate when it comes mileage tracking. And it’s doesn’t cost arm and leg. But Solo did well retrieving my income accurately and provide me an estimate tax liability. that’s it. It will track your mileage whether you’re working or not and doesn’t matter what car your drive, the mileages are always recorded but far from accuracy. I also feel to intrusive and collects lots of data. After trying two days, I uninstalled it.

Yeah they guarantee but only if it’s less than $5. I worked a week and guaranteed over $450 and they still have not paid the guarantee. Submitted driving information directly from Uber and I keep being told system issues. Well I check daily and they say no Uber issues. I pay for the pro subscription to not get the full benefits. I purposely scheduled myself and works each hour on auto accept to test their guarantee which they failed, so in theory I’m canceling my subscription because that is guaranteed from me to them and they want it regardless of app issues. Don’t believe me test their guarantee and see what happens…. EXCUSES.

The battery drain has substantially made Solo power hungry. Within 30 minutes it drained my battery to 60%. I am on an iPhone 15 ProMax iOS version 17.4.1. We need to get this fixed.

I do pay for this app basic for automatic milage tracking. But as of this update im thinking about demanding partial refund even though i paid for the year in full. But when i cant work for more than hour because my battery is dead due to Solo there is a problem.

This isnt a 1 star because i do think the automated tracking is really good. If you can immediately fix my problems ill boost the rating back up.

Personally, as a dasher, an uber eats driver, and a shopper for instacart, Solo keeps all my tax info nice and neat, easy for someone as stupid as me to understand. However, even though the tax part is great, the “guaranteed” pay is just a bunch of lies. I was “guaranteed” at least $56, got $44 for my 3 hours, then told me i didn’t qualify for it even though i took every job. My guess was since my area wasn’t “busy” it didn't rly consider it, but it just straight up told me i didnt work the hours said when i know for a fact a whole $40, 3 hour shift from uber didnt just fly into my account. Solo needs improvement, but regardless of the issues, i see it going places.

Same is happening with shipt on Solo , all my working job info is not uploading, since I have Solo and I have being writing you for the last 2 weeks … so When are you going to fix it ? I drive for DoorDash and just started using this app to try out. I’ve researched so many others. I got the free trial and used it a couple days. It breaks every single thing down for you and tracks everything. It shows how much you’re saving on taxes and how much your estimate is to pay in at any given time. So many perks having Solo. I recommend it for any gig driver. It’s cheap. It’s $24 for 3 months. Which is what I’ve currently subscribed to. Or $10 a month. Or $6 a month I believe if you do an entire year. Worth every penny for them to track everything for you.

this app is fantastic. What’s more, it’s 11 pm on a Friday night and I had an issue with my screen settings on my iPhone, and these guys were emailing back and forth with me to get it resolved. Additionally, I had taken some time away from driving and when I returned recently I sent a message asking if I could have the trial period again to get me started. They didn’t miss a beat; allowed me the trial period again and also gave me credits so that I could experience the scheduling side as well. Absolutely top notch customer service and ownership of this. I am really beyond satisfied with how they treated me. It’s difficult to find great service these days, these guys go above and beyond. They’re actually your partner on the road because the response is golden if you ever need anything. Shaili and Keith, you guys are truly first class and I wish you nothing but complete success with Solo .

I’ve been using Solo since October 21. I can’t imagine not scheduling without it to maximize my time and money. All you do is link you driver accounts. I absolutely love the Guarantee Pay feature. Yes, they do pay you the difference. What’s also cool is that you get to see a complete breakdown analysis of your driving earnings. Support and Customer device is excellent with fast response. No question is too dumb. Lol

Work in Georgia, and loved using Solo while it let me. Looks like they are breaking down further regions, so it revoked my access until available in my specific town, but super excited to start using again. They talk about an extra 20 percent when driving, and that is only an average. In some cases I would get 40-50 percent more income just from linking my apps to this app.

I also love the referral program! I would share the is app with any driver I know, but the fact that they give you $15-$20 per driver that links up, is amazing! They also give the driver an incentive as well!

Over all great app, great incentives, and love the idea! Keep it up!

It is the only app that I have found that will do what I need it to do as far as keeping track of mileage. It has other perks like tax filing and keeping track of income, and tax liability, but mostly it saves me a hour each day of recording all my DoorDash mileage into a notebook. It also will link to other online platforms that you might need to record mileage for.

Solo has truly been the greatest thing I’ve downloaded to help me with my gig work! Normally you would have to work quite a bit to learn certain strategies to make the most money but this app does the work for you! You can start off like a pro, and make money like a pro right away. Seriously a must have for all gig workers, I’ve made all my friends download it and you should to!!
