Cannot get into MyChart as a new user. At the sign in page there is a message that that says login information will be sent to email, but No message ever arrives

The “schedule an appointment” button is pinned to the shortcuts area, and is not able to be removed, even when you go to customize shortcuts. This is frustrating because it then only allows 3 shortcuts, eliminating quick access to everything I need. The “schedule” button is pretty useless anyway because VCU doesn’t even use this feature for most of their providers. So the fact that a useless button is forced and taking up space? Oops.
Also, appreciate that refill requests can go through the meds list now, however in the rx details, there is no information on how many refills a doctor has written for (even under the heading “refill details”… only shows “quantity” and “days supply”)

I suffer from extreme chronic pain & sleep is a precious refuge for me & often hard to come by. I don’t see why you have to send messages at 6am. They steal 2-3 hours of my sleep! Once awakened I cannot go back to sleep. I detest this feature!
I like the ability to see my test results. However I think there must be a way to inform me with some plain interpretation. I have no medical education & do not have any way to know what they mean. To me they are in a foreign language.
I do like the ability to sign in for appointments on line! It saves time & stress.
The appointment reminders are great as it’s easy to forget & they give all the information I need to get there. I do not live in Richmond so it’s nice to get the when, why & where & contact info all together! Much more efficient than having to call!
I like the ability to contact my Doctors by messaging and their teams! Much more efficient than playing tag on telephones. It’s good
To have everything in writing for future reference. It’s easy to forget or get mixed up about what a Doctor told me and what I told them!

MyChart is good for seeing future appointments and great that they can be added easily to my calendar and seeing the test results is nice.
The problem is the messaging part. There have been numerous times when VCU Doctors have said to leave them a message but I can NOT find a way to use MyChart to message a doctor if they have never messaged me first and trying to call and leave a message is almost impossible.
If you want patients to use MyChart it needs to be tweaked to be more patient friendly.
