I used the G6 paired to my Apple watch for years with no issues. Just recently switched to using G7’s and it is awful. Most of the time it does not display your glucose reading on the home screen of the watch, and it just shows two horizontal lines.
The biggest issue is actually when it does display on the home screen and you push the button for more data, it always shows the same message - CHECK THE G7 APP ON YOUR PHONE.
It displays the same message when you scroll through your Apps and press Dexcom G7.
When using the G6 you could see the graph. Please get this corrected on the G7 App.

Amongst a couple of other things, the widget is totally broken in iOS 17.2. Dexcom had plenty of time to iron out any kinks with the developer version of the new iOS update, yet didn’t do it. Extremely disappointing.
Also, there are times where the app just simply fails to connect to the sensor for hours at a time despite my phone being on my person. The sensor’s size is great, but considering these issues along with the fact they have only JUST connected an insulin pump to the G7, I think I’m going to have to look elsewhere

My mom has been a long time Dexcom user, and we all loved the products. We were super excited to see the launch of G7 since it seems more compact and easier to use.
However, after downloading the G7 app, we were only to face the fact that her account’s “country of residence doesn’t match the phone’s location”. Hence not being able to use G7/the app.
We feel extremely sad to see this new feature up and running:( I understand dexcom isn’t officially on the market in certain countries, however we didn’t encounter this location issue with its previous products. I know this location thing won’t affect too many people, but I feel sad to see it happening on us. We loved Dexcom and also recommended it to people around us who have the need for CGM products, guess they’ll face the same problem:( Also, what about people who reside in the US, but is currently traveling abroad? Wouldn’t this feature affect them as well?
Not sure about the whole point of this new location feature, but I truly hope this issue could be fixed for users like us, since we love using dexcom and would hate to have to switch to other brands.
