I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried getting Fluora to work on my network. This is the only iot thing I have that never seems to work correctly. Fluora is flawed and hasn’t gotten better since they first released the product itself. Don’t get me wrong, the product is great, but if you can’t control it through Fluora it’s practically useless.

Awful app, but the plant lamp is great. App is not consistent, it’s hard to connect to the lamp. Have to unplug and plug it back in for Fluora to register that there a lamp around. Kinda unbelievable that such a nice product has such a trash app to accompany it. Oh well I still love my lamp.

The plant itself took a few times to connect, but once it did, the plant itself was flawless. Fluora , however…nope. Fluora does not abide by any time settings to turn off/on or change modes, adjusting the scenes or using manual controls is not intuitive at all and a huge pain, and Fluora CONSTANTLY loses connectivity to the plant. Each time that happens, I have to power cycle the plant (best case), or more often I have to reset the whole thing—as in, forget the plant in Fluora , set the plant back to defaults, and reconnect it to the wifi and Fluora —to get Fluora back up and running so I can control the plant again. I have yet to keep plant and app in communication for more than 12 hours, so at this point, I have the plant in a mode I like and I’ll just leave it there til Fluora quality improves.

Honestly, this is the worst application on the iPhone I’ve ever downloaded for a product. You’d think with the price we pay for the unit, Fluora would be up to par - I’ve been trying to give this company the benefit of the doubt. I used their app back in June and it was amazing, you could easily link plants, it never crashed and things were great but somehow, this has become the worst app I’ve ever used in the history of applications on the iPhone. The product itself is cool yes, but Fluora constantly crashes, can’t connect the plant, cant interconnect very well. It constantly is rifled with issues. I’m appalled to be honest.

I can’t even use mine. For a premium price like this, customers should be receiving a beautifully working product with ZERO bugs and NO connectivity issues or glitches. I just received mine and I will be getting a full refund and sending this back if the new update doesn’t make this thing work flawlessly like it should. Are these not extensively tested before getting them to your customers? I’m genuinely curious because I’m dumbfounded at this point and have a bad taste in my mouth. I hope to update this review in a day or two, but that will solely depend on Color+Light and how they handle this…

App still lots of bugs. It will lose connectivity to this app every now and then and reconnecting it will involve so many retries. It’s frustrating

This product, the lamp, is beautiful. Fluora makes me want to throw it down the stairs. Like others have (apparently for months!) been saying, Fluora won't stay connected, the features don't work, it crashes, every time I try to access any settings, I have to reprovision the whole thing like it's new. I also don't appreciate that it only connects on 2.4ghz so I had to give it its own dumb dumb network within my LAN. Just ship it with a stupid IR remote!

They wait months for plants to arrive from china, so what else are you doing if not making a better app? Fluora is trash, the connectivity is trash, the support is trash. Stay away.

Please fix Fluora. It wont connect and says the filmware of my plant needs to be updated. It worked fine for a few months but now Fluora wont connect. Please fix this so i can dim the brightness. I would have seriously preferred a remote instead of an app especially with these type of issues

None of the main features that were promised have been delivered on. Smart home integration, Philips hue, etc. this app is a pain to connect to, and worse yet, it won’t even remember the settings it was using after a power cycle. Disappointed that I backed this project.

I pair with the plant, then it just disappears completely from Fluora screen. Tried deleting and reinstalling multiple times. So frustrating…..

It is a true miracle if you are able to connect Fluora to the plant. No matter how many resets and delete/add plant to the profile that you do. Great looking when you are able to turn it in, but Fluora is 2nd grade level at best.

Didn’t want to have to write this review. It was frustrating enough that I got this product for it’s music reactivity, and then they kept pushing back that features’ rollout. Fluora has been lacking from the start, and now I’m stuck being asked to update the firmware, but in order to do so I have to update Fluora , when there ISN’T AN APP UPDATE AVAILABLE. So I can’t even use the plant. This is after a few days of power cycling trying to get the firmware to even initiate. All of these things should have been worked out before they started shipping these very expensive products. If you can build something that cool & beautiful, you can make a decent app.

Can’t just turn it on or off because of this.

Sorely needs Alexa / HomeKit Integration. This is standard now guys come on.

I really, really love this plant. It’s gorgeous and fun, but Fluora is often frustrating. It usually can’t find the device, so you need to do a power cycle, or Fluora needs to be reinstalled, etc. More often than not, I have to turn it off manually. In fact, it’s usually a surprise when I open Fluora and it can find the plant. I feel like I would have preferred a remote.

Based on the comments I have read from the early adopters going back a few years, it appears this product has had a rocky start which is understandable given they are a small company launching a new product.

All I can say is that as of July 14, 2024 a week after I received my this app mini, my experience has been good. After installing Fluora , the firmware was upgraded to 1.0.0 and I have been using the current version of the this app app which is currently 0.36.4. I had no issues connecting to my this app mini via Wi-Fi (just be sure you’re using 2.4 GHz instead of 5 GHz). I have also had no issues controlling the this app mini with Fluora . I am pretty pleased with the quality of the lighting and options that are currently available. I wouldn’t mind seeing some more effects in the future, and maybe ways of saving custom settings, but I am pretty pleased with what’s available.

Love my lamp and the different lighting patterns built into Fluora. Only issue I have is with the circular control panel dials. They are so hard to control. I can never get the values I want because the dials don’t accurately turn with my touch. Would love if these were just sliders like the settings above them. It would make the functionality so much easier.

Works great and lets me set so many different lighting colors and effects

This plant is beautiful and looks AWESOME in my stream setup background! Fluora controls need a little work, difficult to control at times but not a deal breaker. Other than that it's awesome background ambience with a ton of customizable patterns and colors!

Finally! So happy with my plant!
