NALA Send Money to Africa Reviews

I recently attempted to use Nala for an international money transfer to South Africa, a service they claim to offer. However, my experience has been frustrating, to say the least. I initiated the transfer 11 days ago, and it has still not gone through. To make matters worse, I’ve reached out to their customer service multiple times, but I’ve received no response or assistance. For a platform that markets itself as efficient and customer-centric, this experience has been highly disappointing. I would strongly advise anyone looking to make timely and reliable payments to South Africa or other African countries to reconsider using Nala until they improve their service and communication.

Finally, someone responded to my several messages after 2 weeks of initiating the transaction with comments like…’going forward, do not send messages, we will respond when we get a response from our partner’ another- “I am only trying to help you” as if the staff is not been paid for their work.

I am just waiting for my transaction to go through after two weeks so I can delete NALASendMoneytoAfrica .

I truest had high hopes like many for NALASendMoneytoAfrica. But the currently have my money sitting in limbo for 4 days now and another four days waiting for my account to get verified. Every time you talk to someone the claim it is being escalated. Looking at the number of complains about funds sitting I. Limbo and days to verify accounts it is common with them. Give me a reason to update this with better ratings.

Adding to my above review. It took days to verify me. Now every single transaction is take days. They always have issues on the other end yet other apps are delivering instantly. Customer service is very vague and seems to always be escalating things yet it still takes days to move money by mtn. Great rates but is it worth waiting days for the transaction that they claim is instant. They need to do better.

My question is why do you need SSN number to verify my account? Why not have other options like ID. Your completion like Sendwave and WorldRemit offers different options for their customers why not offer the same? Identify theft is a real thing and most people are insecure about their SSN so they wouldn’t want to just put in any money transfer organization like yours. All I’m requesting is can you add more options on verifying accounts. NALA offers the best rates out there but most people get turned away when it comes to give out the SSN thinking that this company is scamming. @ Benjamin Fernandes, naomba ufanye mabadiriko hayo. Have been using this useless app for a few months until when they Restricted my Account Requesting my paycheck and bank statement which I later submitted all and guess what they have my full ssn I mean they have all my life and they never Release the Account and also stop responding to text.

Their customer service is the most useless to deal with no any number to call you just have to text a stupid mama nala and it takes a decade for you to have a response.

Infact I do Regret a lot for giving them out my Informations and I urge anyone to stay away from them,Yes their rate is the best but that’s where they will confuse you before you Realise you’ve given out your infor.

Okay, I was excited about having something new for a change but with this kind of disorganized customer service, I'm good. 🙌🏽 I was chatting with Tina to fix my ID verification issue that takes days by the way, she couldn't fix it and gave no explanation and Derrick joined the chat. That also took forever. 2 days now and my account is not verified yet. What a horrible start off. I'm going to give you a 3 star since its a new App and we will see how you improve and I will come back to edit this review incase something changes positively. Welcome to our community. ❤️

I have been sending money using Nala and so far its been good and especially their rates. But problem is they have very low limits in the amounts you can send. When you request for limit increase , they request for very personal information which is unnecessary. There other information that they can request to confirm how some one gets funds but they choose to request for personal information. We live in the era where identity theft is everywhere. You already have alot of personal information in your system. Asking for more personal information is detrimental.

So I started using NALASendMoneytoAfrica because the other company stopped using bank deposits at the time at the beginning I had some issues. It was resolved but the customer service took a little. Now I after using them several months and sending money all the time they asked for me to verify identity I put in for chat and is been more than 12 hours and never heard from anyone again . I came across Ria app they kind of the same but more straight forward rates are great and customer service is all the time .

Okay I decided to use this money transaction company after the other one raised their fees up. I am amazed with how everything went well with NALASendMoneytoAfrica . My money reached to my mom in less than two minutes. And fees was way 10 times better. I saved a lot . I m A new customer now . Not leaving you unless you mess it up . For now take my 5 stars you deserve it .

It is crazy how they lie about instant deposit, it has been 3 days and my money haven’t been delivered yet, at first they said it is because of the holiday in the country I sent money to so that’s why the bank didn’t process the money but now is the third day, they cancel the payment and didn’t refund the money, they processed it again and expecting me to wait for another 3 days, I told them to refund my money they told me they can’t, for them to do that I have to wait for 5 business days or 28 business day. I am having an emergency and they don’t care. This is the terrible app, they should have never lied about instant deposit……

Couldn’t find any better rates other than NALA. I only wish the maximum sending amount could be more than $1000. At least $5000 to a bank transfer. Just my thoughts. Also, implementing some cryptocurrency options will help this service to attract more customers in that space. But great service overall compared to the rest.

My advise if you real value time don’t use this service it will waste ur time
I sent money two days ago, they took money from my account right away it has not reached the destination as we speak and customer service is terrible all they say is” we will get back to you soon” it’s going to be three days today without getting any explanation of what is going on … can you imagine they don’t even tell me what is the barrier
I wish I could sue you ..there has to be away you have to compensate me for the time I have lost as you time is money in stock market I would have used that money to gain profit
And this word sorry for the frustration isn’t gonna fix what I have already lost
You should face consequences of ur actions not sorry who said sorry fixes losses
And as we speak I am going to find a lawyer there has to be a way you can’t just waste people’s time and get away with it.

Got referred NALASendMoneytoAfrica last week. Filled in all the information and made a transfer, just for them to come the next day and say, they are shutting my account down due to their UK policy. I am not even in the UK, I reside in the US, and I gave all valid information including my social security info. I hope this isn’t a scam. I filled or texted an appeal, which ever one they consider, and it’s been 3 days no one has looked at the appeal or responded. I have never left a review for any app, but I will like to understand the delay, or be given a valid US reason not UK. I do not reside in the UK.

I usually shop around different money transfer methods whenever I want to send money back home. Ive been using NALA for a few days and seeing my transfers go through in seconds for a much better rate than the other apps… priceless😭🙌🏾🎉! Oh I also love that I can send a free sms delivery note with my transfers!

This is the worst app ever, I think they’re a bunch of scammers. I setup NALASendMoneytoAfrica , completed verification process then started with a successful transaction of $100 then I went to do another successful $99 and lastly did $200. All were successful. Only for them to reverse the $100 that I did directly from the recipient’s Mpesa account. The transaction was done and completed on the 18th. Reversal happened on 20th. And the refund to my account was never credited. I have been talking to Customer support but they have been playing with me, talking about escalating the issue. I should have stayed with sendwave and worldremit.

I regularly send money to Tanzania and have used a variety of apps over the years. NALA has proven time and time again that they are the top of the game. Super competitive exchange rates means you get more for your dollar. I have never had any problems and transfers always arrive instantly. Super pleased with their service.

Nala talked the talk and walked the walk. They give you more than the others have to offer and the funds are paid almost instantly! Still new, but really impressive, at least compared to competitors. Hope they keep up the good job.

I just used NALASendMoneytoAfrica and I love it ….. the rate is amazing it was sent quicker then any other app I have ever used. And the best part about it is you can see exactly when your family/friends receive the money. Thank you Nala finally I found a smooth app🫶🏼

I was thinking they will stick to their promises but that was a lie. I transferred money to first bank and in the afternoon Friday and did another one to same bank mid night. The one for midnight was immediately delivered only for the recipient to tell me that the afternoon transfer was not delivered. When I tried to call I only got text option which is bad because it is preset they told me they are having issues with bank. The customer service is very poor and inefficient. It is not worth it

It’s been days and my money hasn’t been delivered. I have asked for a refund and after waiting a full day, I got a very vague reply which was also a lie. They blamed the issue on a technical glitch with Mpesa which isn’t true coz I had also just used Sendwave successfully without a problem. My $150 is stuck with them, no telling if I’ll ever get it back! A scam of the hard guest order, stay away! Wish I read these reviews before I used them. It’s been years since I lost money to a scammer!!

I started using Nala 2 days ago after a referral from my daughter and it has been a relief to me sending money back home to my family. They receive their money instantly. I love it.
