As a new Taycan owner coming from a Tesla Model S, I was excited to see MyPorsche and hopeful for some useful functionality. However, it fails on so many levels and is incredibly disappointing. First and foremost, one of the most basic functions of connecting to the car is an exercise in major frustration. I’d say conservatively 10% of the time it’s actually able to connect to the vehicle. The other times a connection error of one sort or another. This leave me unable to check charge level or even preheat the car. I didn’t expect the same level of function that Tesla has, but this is definitely not ready for the Porsche logo. Although the Taycan 4S is the best car I’ve ever owned, MyPorsche is a massive fail.

I do not usually leave reviews but, unfortunately, the new app is worst than the old app. The old app wasn’t the best but Porsche should be embarrassed with this product. It connects 2/10 tries. MyPorsche forces you to login constantly therefore you miss most notifications about charge levels. The location and charge level are frequently incorrect. Not sure why it’s seems they can never get it right!

I really don’t get why Porsche thinks it’s OK to release a really bad app to support the $100K+ car you just bought. They clearly wouldn’t do this a car release.
Not only is MyPorsche really bad, it’s actually worse than their previous Porsche Connect app. It has less functionality and is far less intuitive. Some of the functionality doesn’t work and unlike their previous app, this one doesn’t have widgets, but don’t worry because maybe it’s the future functionality they mention several times in MyPorsche description.
It’s about time Porsche realized that making well engineered cars is now only half the equation. The other half is in the technology and usability of their technology.

Always lagging. Sent destination (a number of occasions) to vehicle; however, I had to then manually enter it in the car’s navigation myself. Then I get the prompt after I’m almost at my destination! Car location and battery status…ALWAYS wrong. Deleting and going back to Porsche Connect, not because it’s the best app, because it’s less awful than this one!

Update after developer’s 1/30 response. The issue is still there. Vehicle is in the dealership being serviced! If the issues still remain after the service, I’ll contact you with additional details.

Issues are still there, obviously there hasn’t been any updates to MyPorsche so not surprised!
Every day MyPorsche requires me to login! Seriously? Why it doesn’t allow to stay logged in? I don’t understand.
Developer wants to send a message, but honestly, probably that would be a waste of time, since I can see that the issues are not unique to me. MyPorsche , and probably the team who decided to roll out such an awful app needs a MAJOR overhaul!!!
Absolutely useless app!!! DELETED.

What a letdown. I was expecting far better from Porsche with this new app. Not only does it lack features, but what features it does offer are buggy. Here’s a particularly glaring example. There is a link to download a car’s manual. Clicking the link seems to initiate a download and MyPorsche then unzips the downloaded file. And then … nothing. There is no manual, nor any link to view the manual. Unbelievable.

My Porsche is useful but it needs a serious redesign if Porsche wants owners to use their app.

There needs to be a dedicated charging section at the bottom; most of the reason owners use MyPorsche (most likely) is for charging and monitoring the charging.

The way to find the nearest charging station is also too complicated. Click Map, type in a location or zoom out. It should automatically zoom out to show the nearest locations on the map. Then when you find a location, it's not very intuitive to click on the location to actually start charging. You can set favorite spots, but again using the charging feature in MyPorsche is a bit cumbersome.

Finally, Central Locking could use some simplifying. It's not clear how to get to the feature (it's the key fob icon). Then opening that it just says "unlocking" and "locking" which seems like odd verbiage for an action.

Overall, the intent is there but MyPorsche needs some redesign.

How does Porsche build such a fine car and not pair it with a fully functional app?? I own a ‘22 Taycan and MyPorsche has never been able to activate climate controls despite having correctly set all of the settings and permissions. My dealer is frustrated as well and indicates that PNA knows of the issues and has no date estimate of when they will be fixed. MyPorsche merely allows me to see battery stats and lock/unlock. It is extremely slow to connect. C’mon Porsche, this steps awfully close to false advertising.

I have little doubt Porsche did not expect a horrible app experience, but it was delivered.
My message to customers is read recent reviews for the true experience. My message to Porsche is don’t take your customers for granted, you have wonderful vehicles and the experience of owning one is being tarnished by a poor digital experience. Consumers have high expectations requisite with the purchase cost. We expect your digital performance to equal or exceed our mechanical experience.

MyPorsche removes functionality from its predecessor, the Porscheconnect app. It lacks the ability to set the temperature of your car remotely (not just on/off) and view tire pressures recorded on your last drive. Both of these features were available before I “upgraded” to MyPorsche. Would not recommend

I struggle to do basics in MyPorsche. One must guess that charging details can be found by tapping the car image and then selecting “functions” which, itself, in no way looks like a button.

Separately, my 5G phone takes a long time to connect to the car making the whole business terribly inconvenient defeating the purpose of having a concurrent app.

MyPorsche is overall an improvement over the Connect App. Cool! I can add/remove/send timers much more smoothly than before. GREAT! I’m getting a charging error message and a red graph on MyPorsche though. Not cool. The car and Porsche EVSE seem fine but MyPorsche is saying there’s an error. I’ll keep looking at it trying to figure out a workaround if possible. A quick fix would be much appreciated!

Compared to Porsche Connect which MyPorsche will replace it is inferior.

In MyPorsche I no longer can flash the lights or honk the horn. Why remove functionality in a new app that a prior app featured? Were particularly useful / helpful features. In a car barely 2 years old MyPorsche does nearly nothing. I expect far more from Porsche. Too much change, innovation and disruption in the automotive sector for such a poor effort. Big fan of the brand but the remote apps in particular this one are a huge disappointment.

Many bugs. Amazing music doesn’t work. Dead links for the info content. Can’t fold your mirrors in remotely if you have that option. You could in prior versions. My macan and 992 show up in the same app which is an improvement.

MyPorsche has limited utility because it most
often does not connect to my Taycan. The status indicator just spins. It seems to get some info from the car (SOC and range) but it can’t control the heating and cooling. I think that if the status button ever went green, it might work. Porsche really needs to fix the communication problems with their cars.

The previous Connect app was okay, and I mean just barely okay. I used it mostly to check fuel levels, tire pressure and doors. This new app seems to have improved the look, but removed some things like the tire pressure overview. Porsche need to really improve MyPorsche. It gets 3 stars from me since I've not had any connectivity issues for over a year and MyPorsche itself always loads. Really needs more functionality though.

The Porsche Connect app was useless, could never get the PCM WLAN to connect to my phone. The new one does but you have to surrender your privacy to make it work.

“My Porsche” is missing features that Car Connect had such as activating the horn and lights to help find your car in a parking lot. Also it doesn’t display the tire pressure warning screen.

I’ve kept the Car Connect app as it still works.

Mostly the new app seems more marketing than the utility it should be. You would think NueveNuevethat Porsche, as a top notch outfit, could make MyPorsche useful.

Some enhancements everybody want to see. I should not have to tap twice to turn on the heat for AC or lock unlock the doors. Make them all buttons on the home screen. Also add the option to turn on the heat excepts ventilated seats and heated steering wheel. Also please fine tune the server connection so MyPorsche connects to the car faster. Sometimes it takes a little too long and my brother is 2 feet away from the car and I have full cell phone wireless coverage. Create a better working iPhone widget i can add to my home screen.

Nice to see that all apps get consolidated in this one app. Still some kinks and bugs but overall a great move. Just checked and there is no widget available (connect app has one). Please add as quickly as possible. I don’t want to delete the connect app until there is a widget but some of the functions of the new app don’t work as long as I have the connect app installed.

The new app is a big step forward in its design compared to “Car Connect”, But a small step backwards in terms of functionality. The new app now is missing such an essential safety feature as “Tire Pressure Monitoring”. Also now there is no option to fold mirrors. I wish there would be an option to adjust the precool/heat temperatures as well as unlock the doors remotely (not only lock).

I’ve only been using MyPorsche for a day now, but I notice it is missing features that the old Porsche Connect app used to have. Like being able to select which seats get seat heat during climate controls. I can’t seem to find that option in the new My Porsche app.

Great new look, speed is up a smidgen, and I appreciate the combined Porsche Connect and Porsche Car Connect Apps.

What I don’t like are these missing features: where is the ability to honk the horn and/or flash the lights?
Why must MyPorsche be set to Location Services alway on to be able to track for mapping, cannot it not just send the map to the car once requested?
And more importantly, where is the option for a passcode lock to enter MyPorsche ?

I know this is a new app but I’d expect a better experience from Porsche. I was not able to add my vehicle, it says “Something went wrong” at the last step, but no idea what has gone wrong, no explanation whatsoever. I tried again starting from scratch but got the same result. Also, not sure why I have to share all my information with the dealership to add my vehicle, I already have a vehicle and am uploading the registration/insurance details. I have a Car Connect account already. So many improvements needed to make MyPorsche seamless, I’d think Porsche would have tested all these issues before releasing MyPorsche .

Latest update to MyPorsche has made it go from a cruel joke and waste of time to wow, Porsche did it. I can pre heat and cool my 2017 hybrid cayenne. As well as see where it’s at and lock it’s doors and no problem no special subscriptions I just tell it to use my Xfinity mobile Wi-Fi :)

They added PFS quick link to MyPorsche . Was told additional features will be coming including trip data. I figure this is replacing the original My Porsche app & Porsche connect into one. Which is a good idea.

Always had pcm connection issues. Went to the dealer and it was fixed for like a day. Just updated to the new version and have my remote back yayyyy.

Love the improvements to the Charging functionality / map, it’s a lot more fleshed out and has more details like station kW. Happy to uninstall the My Porsche and Charging NA apps as well :)
