I’ve lost count of the problems with this app.

by Jeff Muscato
Just a few of ThermoProSensor ’s shortcomings: - It doesn’t update unless ThermoProSensor is open. - Therefore, it doesn’t see that a sensor’s temperature is beyond the limit set and doesn’t push a notification. - It doesn’t clearly indicate which sensors are not found. If a sensor isn’t in range or isn’t active, it still shows a full battery and shows the latest temperature from the most recent sync. So, you might open ThermoProSensor dozens of times and never notice that a sensor’s temperature hasn’t changed in months. - It doesn’t note the date/time of the most recent sync from a sensor, so, again, it’s not clear that one is no longer active and syncing. - The history shows the last 24 hours, the last seven days, and the last year, but, again, without a datestamp, there’s no way to know when those actually were. - There’s no way to export the data to a csv file or to save the data outside of ThermoProSensor . - There’s no way in ThermoProSensor to flip back day by day or week by week. You see the last day, the last week, or the last year, but not just, e.g., the week before last.
This is *so* bad. It’s embarrassing.
New version is unusable - units no longer show up 99% of the time
2024-01-04
by MajkQball
The old version had its quirks but would always show the devices you have. New version constantly forgets all of my ThermoPro units - and attempting to re add them does not work. Very seldomly they will show up, but next time I open ThermoProSensor they're gone again. Frustrating experience - admittedly a trivial overall issue but still.
Very frustrating

When I first purchased it a few months ago, it worked well. Over the last few weeks, it has stopped finding my device. Every time I close ThermoProSensor , it loses my device. To “find it” I have to uninstall ThermoProSensor and reinstall it. It looks like this has been a problem for a while and they haven’t fixed it. Will be returning this product.
Version 2.0 Fails to Open in iOS
2024-06-23
by HeavenHillHammock
After the most recent update to version 2.0, ThermoProSensor no longer opens on an iPhone or within iOS (Feb 2023). You’ll be required to delete and reinstall ThermoProSensor . Even after the update, after bug reports, developer responses, and all that time…the 1Week and 1Year toggles on the charts are still the same thing, where toggling 1Year just shows the same timeframe as 1Week. Humorously, it just adds the date instead of the day name. Who knows…
This is one of the worst apps I’ve ever seen in my entire life. It doesn’t attempt to do very much (display temp). And it still fails at that! An _average_ junior high kid could do better. What a disappointment. I was looking forward to using the thermometer with ThermoProSensor .
Extremely Disappointed

ThermoProSensor crashes while loading your history data, EVERYTIME! It won’t stay on! This thermometer was purchased to remotely monitor temp and humidity but since ThermoProSensor is useless, it pretty much makes thermometer worthless.
Poor Functionality
2023-05-06
by Bad App 989803
ThermoProSensor does not record temperature on the graph. There’s also no indication when it’s connected to the thermometer, which leaves you uncertain if the temp displayed on ThermoProSensor is current.
It’s be nice to see time since last reading.
Alarm NEVER Works on the TP357!!
2023-06-06
by Ugarte6
The Alarm NEVER goes off on my iPhone! I never have been notified when the humidity goes over my set percentage!! I got this for my laundry room so I don’t get mold in my washing machine!! This is useless for my purposes!
Zero Degrees

by Perseus921
One star equals zero stars. I got ThermoProSensor to monitor my TP59 temp & humidity from my iPhone X. ThermoProSensor crashes a few seconds after displaying history graph. I thought upgrading iOS and updating app to latest would correct the issue but to no avail. Very disappointed I chose this device out of the many competitors.
ThermoProSensor is installed in both my iPhone and iPad and notifications don’t push out (yes, I checked the settings and uninstalled and reinstalled ThermoProSensor a few times). I have to open ThermoProSensor to see the alert, which defeats the purpose. Also, there’s a typo on “product registration” (extra “e”).
Needs an update - Notifications
2024-07-01
by Settle This!
This would be a great app if they updated so the alerts came through as a notification. It’s that the whole point of ThermoProSensor?! When I open ThermoProSensor the alert pops up but by then it’s too late.
Love the charts and it seems relatively accurate but as the alerts don’t come though as a phone notification it’s kinda pointless.
Hard to manage more than a few hermometers
2024-04-26
by Paulagua
The sequence of the thermometers in ThermoProSensor can not be rearranged. I have 70 of them, it’s very hard to find the one I would like to monitor.
I have a few thermometers in each room. When I tap Add Device, all of them show up. There is no way I can tell which one is the one in front of me. Other apps use the last 4 digit of MAC address to differentiate the devices - printing it on the back of the device.
It’s usable, but hard to use.
Bluetooth connection is not 260 feet
2024-08-28
by Nickname99billion
I like this thermometer. The thermometer is within a degree of my other thermometers that I have. I like that it is Bluetooth and I can place the thermometer outside or in an area of interest and read it on my iPhone from inside of my house. However, I place the thermometer in my kitchen and walk down the hallway and 30 to 40 feet away (open space & no walls in between) and my iPhone looses the Bluetooth connection. I have a Bluetooth speaker that I can walk all over the house and my iPhone still has great connection, so it is not my iPhone that is the issue. By advertising this thermometer has a 260 foot Bluetooth range, this is misleading and false advertising. I would still purchase if the manufacturer stated 26 feet, but they either need to correct the thermometer or change the information regarding the Bluetooth range.
Great sensor, so so app

by My Business Is Terrible!!!
Sensor is great, but ThermoProSensor could use major work. Alerts do not work.
Why are push notifications still broken? The feature is there but only alerts you when you open ThermoProSensor . Can this be fixed please? Otherwise why bother at all?
UPDATED REPLY TO DEV: Yes ThermoProSensor is up to date. And yes it is still broken as described above.
TP357 History Export ?
2024-02-14
by JL-1940
App needs a major update: Great bluetooth sensors storing 1 year of data, BUT other companies now sell products with software that can export all that sensor data in .CSV file format for real data analysis! Without that feature these sensors are no longer worth buying.
No background refresh?

App doesn’t appear to update (and no notifications sent) unless it is active. Updating the trend lines takes a long time as well (“Loading…”)
Version 2.0 Update Problem
2025-06-02
by EGguy2023
Updated to v. 2.0 two days ago. The layout looks good, but it now takes literally a full minute to recognize my two devices. The older version only took about one second. I hope they work the bugs out or give me way of getting back to the old version
App doesn’t show actual lows and highs
2024-03-25
by CHE56
Sensor reads temps within a degree or two accurately. Initially sensor linked well to app as far as being able to connect . One year later after having moved the sensor from one location to another , when I open ThermoProSensor it does not find the sensor for several minutes . ThermoProSensor has never shown the real lows when I look into the history. Now it only shows a starting low on the graphs of 70F and during a recent cold spell my lows are in the 20s F. It shows highs in the 80s F when they have been in the 50sF. I see no way to erase data in ThermoProSensor to see if that will help. Cannot understand why the lowest temp range on the graph would start at 70F.
ThermoProSensor is your only choice for a TP357. And it does a basic job of connecting and fetching recent values.
However, there are issues that should be noted and which could be improved upon: - you can’t view more than a week of data. - going back in time requires repeated swiping , which makes it difficult to compare against a year ago, or even a few months ago - there’s no way to export the data, either - ThermoProSensor only checks sensor data and battery values when it is opened, so on a number of occasions I have opened ThermoProSensor only to find that I need to change the battery.
I hope these issues can be addressed!
App update V2 broken

App worked fine until the update. Now the devices are invisible unless I touch the screen where each devices are supposed to be displayed. The graphics look different but, now the functionality suffers. Too bad ThermoProSensor automatically updated.
No data export

by Czachk
ThermoProSensor works well for me, and I'm happy being able to see the history from my sensor. But my biggest complaint about ThermoProSensor is that there is no way for me to gather the data from the device and that's where I think it falls short.
Keeps losing the devices
2024-10-04
by KenFalls
Why is it after every update I lose one or two devices and have to re-add them. And since it isn’t a known which device is what by its outward appearances, the only way to reapply them is by removing battery’s from all the devices and do them one at a time. Can you all please get back to a stable platform??

Mostly works - no alerts
2024-06-23
by J_P_Twist
I like ThermoProSensor , most of the features and functions work, but my particular use case is not working. I set up min max alerts for an area that’s very temperature sensitive. If cooling goes out for any reason, the equipment is prone to thermal runaway, getting really hot, really fast.
With notifications on, do not disturb off, and everything updated, restarted, and all other routine steps, the alerts will not pop up until I open ThermoProSensor .
Unfortunately, the alerts are specifically WHY I got this sensor, and worse some expensive equipment was damaged when temps went 20F over the set limit and no alert was sent.
App is auto closing when opened

I really like ThermoProSensor . I have two sensors and it’s great to track data and see the graphs. However, today ThermoProSensor will close immediately when opened. I can’t check the sensors. I updated ThermoProSensor once I noticed the bug. The update didn’t help. Please help!
Not too bad
2024-08-27
by FED$
Not a bad app, but a software bug prevents the time scale from resetting to the “Year” graphical display. However the amplitude DOES reset and scale to min and max when the yearly display is requested. So the year graphic is the same as the week graphic, but with slightly different amplitude normalization. I requested a fix by phoning the US help line. Talked to an intelligent, courteous American agent. I have hopes that the bug will be corrected.
As others have noted, it would be highly desirable to incorporate the ability to export the data, to a CSV file, at the minimum.
A lot of 1 star reviews on ThermoProSensor release. Surprised the developers haven’t been able to resolve quickly. They are damaging the brand. I experienced the same issues as others but find that if you leave ThermoProSensor open for a minute or two it will connect and remain connected. I just put ThermoProSensor in the background instead of closing it.
My Devices screen blank
2024-04-11
by NRALIFR
After adding two ThermoPro devices successfully, they “disappeared” from the My Devices screen when ThermoProSensor was closed, then relaunched. Also, the Add Device button does not rediscover them. I just noticed that if you touch the area of the My Devices screen where they should be, they reappeared! I thought ThermoProSensor had lost connection with the devices, but they were still there. ThermoProSensor was just not displaying them when it first opened. That’s why the Add Device didn’t work, no NEW devices were discovered.
Great device except!

These sensors seem very accurate. Having the ability to review info from 24 hours to 12 months is terrific! The only thing missing is the ability to take the data in ThermoProSensor and transfer to a spread sheet. Other wise A+ rating!

I’m re-rating from 2 stars to 4 stars because they’ve finally fixed the connection of ThermoProSensor . Previously I had to delete ThermoProSensor & reload it in order to find the meter though the Bluetooth; this had to be done each time after initially connecting just fine. The meter has the temp & humidity along with a very easy to read graph. It also has a backlight. I had to initiate the fix & follow up several times in order for it to work properly again. How many of these meters were returned in the 3-4 weeks it took for the fix?? Not sure, but it’s a testament of how much I liked the meter & ThermoProSensor to wait. And a big thank you to the great customer service & follow through of the developer.
Room for improvements

One of my biggest issues is the fact that when I look at the graph on my smartphone, I click and drag to try to see a recent temperature, but the earliest I can see is a few hours before the current temperature. The number display shows me the current temperature, but I can’t find a way to see a few minutes ago. I can zoom in on the graph, but I can zoom in on recent times.
Barely worked, then since v 2.0 it’s been broken and useless on iPad an iPhone. Couldn’t be more disappointed in an app. This also means that my thermometer is now basically useless to me. Good job, you broke two things with one stone.

Can’t use spaces in your sensor names
2027-01-23
by NMSEngineer
Hi ThermoPro Team,
This started after v2.0 and continues in v2.3.
I own (5) ThermoPros.
First purchased (4) and then a 5th sensor.
The initial (4) sensors, I was able to name them. I could not use special characters but I was able to use spaces in the name.
There was an app upgrade prior to installing the 5th sensor.
When naming the 5th sensor it would not allow me to use spaces.
Went back to the other (4) sensors, and sure enough I am unable to rename them when it includes a space.
So, it appears there may be a bug in the new app upgrade…
Thanks!

Economical means to monitor climate

Once we started working from home we kept the heat a few degrees warmer than before and started noticing dryness within our home. We pondered a humidifier but I wanted some data to determine the actual humidity. This device fit the bill perfectly and as a bonus provides historical logging via ThermoProSensor . Excellent for our needs.
Update of June 26 causes app to immediately crash. Liked it before then.
Update: June 28 - Fixed. Good app and product. I use ThermoProSensor and product to keep track of humidity for stringed instruments in cases. Works well.

It does exactly what is described & shown. Connects to my TP59 which I have been running for a month before downloading ThermoProSensor . Collected all temp and humidity data and shows me the history. What more can I ask for from a free app and a $15 thermometer. It’s cool. And it hasn’t crashed for me on an iPhone.

I have been relying on ThermoProSensor for over a year to track the temperature and humidity in two chicken coops. It has worked like a charm. Small hiccup after the recent update when it crashed every time I tried to open ThermoProSensor , but a simple reinstall and I am back in business!

Works perfect and plots temperature history of multiple sensors. Absolutely perfect for what I need but I thought I was just buying a thermometer. I planned to put a security camera on it to read it, but no need!!
Please hire some coders and fix ThermoProSensor. Thank you. I look forward to the update soon!
Good app but room for improvements

by Fuzzfuzzyboy
This is my honest opinion I really like ThermoProSensor it came in handy with graphing the temperature and is very accurate and I love the device but with everything there is room for improvements such as with the graphing I like the slider when I tap and hold on the graph how it shows minute by minute temperatures but I think you need some more timestamps graph viewing options as of right now it has 24 hours 1 week 1 year that works okay but it’s kind of hard to track and find out what date the temperature was on and also I think there should be a save graph option if possible because Id like to use this thermometer for testing the temperatures in different rooms and places and the problem is when I look at the graph I can’t save it to analyze the data.
