Fire information

The best and most comprehensive wildfire data app I’ve ever seen.

Great Alerting System

I currently commute to and from Montana for work and stay at a company house when in Montana. FireTrac has a nice notification feature that alerts its users if fires are coming near their pre-programmed address. Luckily, I haven’t had to alert my company of any fires, but the feature is nice to have just in case. Sometimes small fires don’t have fire maps, but usually the larger ones with more publicity have maps. Very cool to be able to see what the fires are doing!

Was able to help family in wrightwood fire

I think FireTrac is really helpful. I have family in mountainous areas and they were able to stay updated on fire activity with the recent wrightwood fire in California. Plus they have a neighborhood chat feature which I could see as really beneficial for people in fire-prone areas

Nice features — and keeps improving

I appreciate the easy-to-find info for when I travel through fire prone areas. I see the improvements from when I first downloaded. Thx this app.

Doesn’t work!!!!

Sadly FireTrac is fundamentally useless. Create a profile and verify the account then now FireTrac won’t allow me to sign in tells me invalid email or password. Click the contact us button select sad face then it asks to give the reason, yet it won’t let you type anything in. Also the screen doesn’t move fluently when trying to zoom in or scroll. And hopefully it will come in closer that 16 miles above the earth. So far that’s as close as I can get and I can’t open my account to find out anything different.

Detailed Images

FireTrac has really cool images captured from aerial view. No other application has such detailed images. This could be huge if they keep delivering those on all the fires.

Expect more from an app 4+ years old…

…than a blank screen when I try to look at the subscription prices. Rest of it looks fine. Too bad that happened.

Needs more fixes.

Tried to upgrade. Only a grey screen shows with multiple attempts. No other way shown to do the upgrade. Have to wonder if they want my $.

Updated Review

The original notification problem has been resolved, thank you. The ease of use limits me give it 5 stars but is a good app for information.

Rices Fire

This fire has been mapped.

Fire map is a joke

There is a major fire going on for several days, the Rices Fire, that has no details! And it barely shows on the empty map. Cal Fire has a lot more details. FireTrac seems to be another scam.

login issue

iPhone SE 3rd generation, iOS 16.5.1 — cannot set up account because keyboard is covering area of screen with login/password fields! Please fix this. It works fine on iPad.
7/6/2023: developer has contacted me to say that fix is coming. When it does I will re-install FireTrac and try it again.
