It shows a lot of information on the whole continent regarding fires. My only complaint so far is that the legend is incomplete. There are a lot of icons on the map (various encircled numbers) But there’s no mention of what they indicate. At first I thought it was the number of active fires in an area, then I thought perhaps the county’s numerical identifier…I have nor idea & there doesn't seem to be anywhere to find this information in the apps site.

App is easy to use. Shows fire perimeter without having to tap on the fire location/name. Shows wind direction and intensity which helps get an idea of what the smoke might be like in my area. So far seems like the easiest fire app I’ve tried.

I love Firespot-it provides some peace of mind during this very scary season. I wish it had a few more features though-I would like to know current rate of spread, direction of travel, and acres burnt. There is a huge difference in level of concern when these things are taken into consideration

Gives real insight in real time, into a situation where extra time can make all the difference. Thank you for giving us the insight I felt lost without! I’m sleeping better now that I can easily check the locations of fires in my area.

Firespot offers a near-perfect balance of comprehensive information and ease of navigation. A useful app for people who live near fire zones or are planning backcountry travel, especially in the Pacific Northwest.

I’m just using it to look at the location of the L-30 fire that was burning in the Everglades. I see how people could use this to depend on critical information about fire movement and advisory statements. Thankfully, I don’t need to use it for that purpose.

It does not load or show fires quickly and accurately

When you open/load Firespot , It immediately crashes. I thought it was just a glitch so I deleted and reinstalled, but as I went back onto Firespot it crashed.

App won’t even open and I’ve deleted and reinstalled and everything. The last notice I received was that there are 4 new fires around me and I have a fire sun outside and Firespot won’t even open!

Doesnt work on Voice Over , im blind first crash on start up need constant gps then after turned on nothing showing i keep tapping wont get any thing out of it ,, bummer was really excited about this one..

Won’t even open. As I was downloading Firespot , I noticed some bugs related to this were supposedly fixed a few days ago but clearly it’s still an issue.

Cannot set my email, or the physical area of my alert notification. Yes, I have location services turned on in settings on my phone. It says there is a fire at my house.

I have the location access enabled, but Firespot does not identify my location and I am unable to set any alerts. Is this really compatible with iOS???

Just downloaded this as the Palisade Fire is 7.5 miles from my front door and I’d love real time alerts. The fire doesn’t even show in the system on here - and it started over 24hrs ago! BAD

After the update Firespot does not work!! unacceptable at a time like right now when Fires are at the worst time of year.

There is currently a fire near Irvine, CA that’s growing bigger and nearer. Yet, Firespot is showing no signs of fire in that area! The maps are just empty maps. Do NOT use this useless app.

Idk where they get the info but it’s not very accurate. I know there’s more active fires in my state than what Firespot says.

There’s a fire in Orange County and it doesn’t show it at all. Delete.

Calfire more accurate in regards to personal and equipment

Firespot is more difficult to use than the US Fires app.
