I can’t even get pass nationality. I entered nationality and then it’s just stuck at that point. I restarted Sniff and my phone. Same issue. There is no next or done to press. Kinda annoying. If this is how Sniff starts off I can just imagine the interface. Also it’s a perfume app. What’s with all the personal info request. This is how identity gets stolen when a novice ask for more information than needed.

It’s so glitchy, it needs so much improvement, I’m sure it will be fun one day but now it just gave me a headache it’s slow, glitchy, it doesn’t let you comment or do anything, I deleted it next day after trying and trying and only getting a blank page! I use an iPhone so I don’t know if it just works better with other brands.

I’ve deleted app, redownloaded, let it it sit to load for almost 30 minutes, all the things, it will not load for the past 7 days. I love the concept, but the execution is really poor. Sniff developers should really be more on top of fixing bugs and keeping Sniff fully functioning.

This is by far the slowest and most glitchy app I’ve ever used. It’s impossible to comment on posts, as everything literally freezes and words don’t type out. It takes forever to load anything, the UI is very meh. Overall, Sniff needs a huge facelift and they need to boost the speed of load times.

Easy to navigate and pretty interface. Possibly the best looking frag app. However library of fragrances is scarce with no way of notifying or requesting an update to the library. Either entire niche houses are missing or fragrances within houses are missing. Especially if the house isn’t a mainstream house. Also Sniff at times take time to load or is clunky while navigating between screens. App would be a 4 or 5 if the library could be easily updated or close to up to date and the clunkiness could be overcome.

I understand this was meant to be a new generation concept to Fragrantica’s website, evolved into a social media app. But I don’t think vision was met with competent developers. It’s been a year, and the database is still inadequate and it doesn’t offer anything that Fragrantica doesn’t already offer.

I think I would rather see Fragrantica expand their website database into an app. There’s just too many years of history and data there, that can’t be competed with.

I’m a fan of Demi and want to support her app but I couldn’t even create a profile because it kept telling me to enter a valid birthday. I tried about 10 times and they wouldn’t accept it, even when I tried to enter a different birthday. The other reviews also make it seem not too finished, I’ll stick to fragrantica until the bugs are sorted out.

Sniff has been out for a while and they report they now have a dev team. But Sniff remains extremely slow to respond. It discourages use because of how buggy it is. Before adding more fragrances to the database, please work on improving app responsiveness.

I really want to love Sniff. It was being soooo slow I figured I’d try removing it from my phone and reinstalling. Now it won’t let me log back in. All the time put into entering my collection and writing reviews…gone? I guess? It won’t let me make a new account either though so hopefully it’s a problem that can be fixed.

I literally have never wrote a review for an app EVER in my life, but I have to for this bc perfume is such a niche interest of mine & Sniff would be SOO GOOD if it wasn’t so glitchy & actually fast at loading articles, reviews, perfumes.. etc, etc. PLEASE FIX THIS. I am rooting for Sniff!!

Amazing app but So !So ! Slow !

I know there will be bug fixes and crashes along the way as it is very new
Also should be the option for us to add perfumes that are not on Sniff
Could not find Kyse others couldn’t find other houses anywhere

I love the concept but a lot of work needed. All of the info about my fragrance collection I worked so hard to input recently disappeared. I emailed about the issue a couple of days ago but have not received a response.

This is a great app for fragrance loves but has a lot to improve on. The biggest thing is we need the ability to add fragrances from fragrantica’s database or something because way too many houses are missing or fragrances from houses already on Sniff are missing. There is no way to really customize or organize your collection by alphabetical or house order or your own preference. There’s no way to really interact with other people’s collections except for private message, we should be able to like someone’s collection or fragrance and reply directly to comments on fragrances or the community poses. Feel like a great concept that needs much more development. This can truly be the fragrance Facebook of properly improved.

I agree that they need to update the db so that we can use new fragrances on the fly. I am missing over half of my collection because of the db not being up to date.

I own a small collection of fragrances but Sniff has profiles for my colognes and I can see what the main notes are and what season is best for the cologne. And if you tap the picture you can see the name of the note and if you tap the name you can see perfumes with that note! That feature compelled me to write a review. It’s the little things.

Overall a decent selection including brands Ive never heard of. They haven’t added any super new brands like Orabella (Bella Hadids) but they have Nicki Minajs and Britney Spears so I’m sure they’ll add it. Sniff does an EXCELLENT job of providing a wide variety of notes. They can def provide more perfumes but this seems like an app in development so I’m not gonna be too harsh. I found most of the big name brands I wanted and they have a big selection of those. They break it down enough for perfume newbies to understand. You can see what’s popular as well as other peoples scents. You can also follow people! There’s a little test for finding scents and you can do it multiple times! Personally I love it and I think ppl are too hard on it expecting it to be perfect

I can tell they put a lot of work into Sniff to make it enjoyable! With all the features of adding notes you love (and don’t) to having your scent of the day and library of fragrances. It’s actually a really fun app. I am liking it a lot. It can be slow and sometimes pauses. But they are working to constantly improve and they are responsive on their app and IG page too. They show they care and are interactive with the community. That goes a long way for me.

The idea it’s great and I was looking for just something like this. I understand that this is a new app and still have some things to improve. Keep it going this way!

Finally a place where scents are personalized. I can catalog everything I own, can look at notes I prefer more often. Can search for new rare finds. And, quite a collection. Hopefully this becomes the stockx of perfumes. An easy way to always get knowledge on the notes.

I am beyond in love with Sniff, it’s everything I was hoping it would be and more. The aesthetics and beautiful and it’s super organized, easy to navigate. My mom and I stayed up late exploring the different notes, articles, and fragrances. I have waited and waited for something like this to come out and I’m so glad it’s finally here! 🫶🏼🍾

I like Sniff - it’s useful in learning opinions of others. I don’t have any issues on Sniff, it is quick, doesn’t crash and of course is worth the price of ‘free’.

There are still opportunities to add more products over time, but currently it has a large number. The only other suggestion is to have something come up on the ‘offers’ page. Even if it just says that none are currently available.
