Still banned to this day. Love it. I was attacked on a dating part of it for straight meetups. Cisgender doesnt matter cause i identify as a female made that clear. I even tried to grt my point across i was told i spammed when i was responding to the transphobia put on me. It is sad that im banned for defending myself from 3 individuals that claimed i wasnt straight and should leave the group. Sorry but it didn’t say cisgenders only in that group cause if it did then i wouldve left it alone. Until the issue is resolved i aint ganna contact yall in email for the wrong doing that the platform welcomed. I wont support it and will always open my mouth in my livestreams about the toxic environment you welcome into your platform. It is sad that me alone got banned but i heard that those three have been free to do whatever they please as if they did no wrong about attacking me in my own post where i was responding back but apparently answering back to the hate is considered spam. So i will support Ferzu since they dont tolerate transphobic slander on their platform like this one.

Everytime I make an account or use Apple ID it never sends anything to my email or anything, when I signed up manually it said “account made check email” there was nothing there. Maybe my phones just slow but I didn’t get anything.

BARQ has a lot of bugs and bots. Reporting bots seems like a lost cause. I understand that this is a small team but this is incredibly problematic.

A really big bug is that the distance (despite saying infinite, or region only, etc) caps randomly. I and several others have had issues being unable to see other profiles after a certain mileage. If you report it you get ghosted on all platforms. Another bug is that the language glitches so that sentences are quite illegible. This bug has been here for quite some time. There’s an image uploading bug, the API error pop up happens too frequently, can’t change your birthday if accidentally misclicked, notifications are heavily bugged.

There’s just too many bots and bugs to make BARQ even usable. It’s quite unfortunate because it has potential.

Definitely lacking some features. The big one is that blocking does NOT work. In an app like this where you can be exposed to a lot of scary people, a block button is a MUST. Very disappointing that it isn’t a feature to keep its users safe. Also if BARQ is with furries in mind, there should be a way to credit artists. I see a lot of stolen art. I also don’t like the feeling of adding pictures of my oc’s without crediting the artist who drew them. Some sort of feature to link artists or being able to caption pictures would help.

I had my account for all of a week, then suddenly couldn’t log in. Whenever my friends check my old account they get an error message that my account has been removed. I didn’t post anything that violated TOS, so I have no idea why my account was removed. I really loved BARQ and was looking forward to making new friends, but I was barely given a chance.

I had BARQ working perfectly fine for a few weeks! But for some reason now it’s saying there’s an error?… and even when I tried to make a new account it won’t work. Even tried to log out to log back in and now I can’t get into my old account… hence I tried the new one with still nothing… I really liked BARQ but this is a big downfall… I’d really like it to be fixed

I’ve just heard of BARQ, and so far I don’t have complaints… except- I’m trying to show I have a fursona, but you can’t complete and save it unless it has a species picked.
My fursona species is goat- which isn’t an option

I’d personally say BARQ is better than this app. The notifications I receive are consistent, messaging works fine, the communities feature is a good grouping function of BARQ (all of these can’t be said for another similar app called howlr).

Even though BARQ is still in development and is in more of a beta phase, there are a few things that I don’t like. Sometimes BARQ just doesn’t load profiles and the main menu and I would have to wait a few minutes for it to get back online. They also like to change the UI and layout very often for better or worse. The more recent update to the layout made things a little worse for my personal taste but still good overall.

If you’re looking to just chat with other furries then there really isn’t a reason to not download BARQ. The only downside is that it’s hard to actually get to talk to people but that’s not the apps fault at all but more or less the actually people.

A problem I seen was you can’t message if you not mutuals with someone but I don’t know if everyone knows when you first install BARQ it’s automatically on mutual only

It’s a good app don’t get me wrong but it’s leaning it to Dating app territory and as a aro person I don’t want to get off the wrong idea to people. In the relationship settings it should have an aro or a no dating option. but overall it’s a good app would recommend

I love using BARQ! It helps me find some local furs and I met some awesome ones through BARQ! But it could use something that shows or indicate when the last active time or days the profiles has been online

Like anything, there is good and bad when it comes to this app. The bottom line is this: It is a great way to meet furries. As someone new to the fandom with no connections- I was able to meet and hangout with local furries. this app did its job.

But it has its issues. There is something to be said about how almost EVERYONE wants to move to discord or tele as soon as possible after becoming mutuals. Not a great sign for your app when everyone wants to get off of it as quickly as possible.

You can add shortcuts to your other social media (Twitter, instagram, Etc.) onto your this app account but you can’t remove them. If you change your twitter handle the shortcut will be stuck there broken. Or if you just want to remove it for any reason, you can’t. I’ve seen this on many accounts including my own. You also can’t send images in chat.

I’m giving five starts only because the developers are continually working on improving BARQ and I believe it has the potential to be great.

Obviously could be better, but I imagine it’s not easy to make an app like this, and for what it is, it works as it should. Definitely needs more attention from the fandom.

I downloaded BARQ immediately after finding out about it! The first thought I had was “A dating/meeting app specifically for the furry community?? Sign me up!” So far, I have connected and met in person with approximately 7 people that are now good friends of mine and I also met my current partner through BARQ as well! Can’t promise the results will be the same for everyone but I will say that everyone I have matched and messaged with has been kind, open and easy to communicate with, I would highly recommend giving BARQ a try if you want to expand your social circle or are looking for something more!

I’m in Seattle, so I may be lucky with how many furs are near me as well, but I’ve made so many friends on this app super quickly!!! Definitely the best route I’ve ever taken on meeting friends or furs!!! Theres even still tons of people I need to check out!! Also great app design and features :3c

While this is a great application for furry’s to meet up and interact with others it’s lacking the numbers. I was originally turned away from it because I saw how little reviews it has and thought it was sketchy. It’s pretty legitimate and I hope this review helps guide others like me towards it! Look forward to the development of this and I hope to meet many people from it!

I have BARQ to thank for finding my current partner! Found his profile by chance and we got to meet at a convention we were both attending at the time. I have never appreciated a singular app more in my life than this one. And that’s not even mentioning all the amazing people I’ve met and the friends I’ve made! Good luck to everyone else out there!
