Really Bad!

I can count on three fingers the number of reviews I’ve ever given on anything and two of them were quite good....however, LegacyDigitalBanking is so bad, even though I’m not as tech savvy as many of the other reviewers, I felt I should add my two cents anyway. I, too, found the requirement to reenroll ridiculous and felt like I was having to give to much sensitive info for an app that seemed glitchy at best. After several attempts, I ended up having to wait the better part of an hour to speak with a CSR who seemed exhausted after a day full of people like me. He was somewhat helpful, though and after a few more password issues, etc I finally loaded everything. Then the fun begins. Not only is LegacyDigitalBanking extremely slow, but I found that I could not transfer from savings or checking to my Legacy credit card. Tried bill pay, no success. Today, could not even get the menu to pull up so I could log off properly. Very confusing layout, and hard to read. Nothing was wrong with the old way and LegacyDigitalBanking is definitely less user friendly and just awful in so many ways. Sorry, Legacy, you blew it this time☹️

Rolled out too early. Buggy/Slow. Ads.

First I want to say that I love Legacy the Bank. I hate Legacy LegacyDigitalBanking . The old App was perfectly fine. The only reason I can think of for the update were some behind the scene issues. It only really needed fingerprint/face unlock. The rollout of LegacyDigitalBanking was horrible. It took half a week to get logged in. The Call Center was a lost cause due to the call volume. I feel sorry for the reps. I had to physically drive and communicate with someone through the drive thru. Could not go in due to Covid. Not their fault. Then after finally getting access to LegacyDigitalBanking , here comes good ole IOS 14. This is mostly Apple’s fault for releasing IOS 14 so quickly. After going through all of this, I now have access after an update. LegacyDigitalBanking is buggy, slow, looks horrible, and on top of all of that, we get wonderful advertisements for special offers from Legacy. This should be done on the site and not on a mobile app. Simplicity is your best friend when it comes to Apps. My poor rating is for LegacyDigitalBanking and not the experience.

I would put no stars if I could

LegacyDigitalBanking is awful. I don’t know why they deleted the old one since it worked fine, it’s features functioned beautifully. Now, there is no running statement in your checking, you can only see a single amount and not see history of what’s cleared. It’s slow and clunky and the other day I transferred $ and says I have set up for a regular transfer which I did not! That is scary to me that I can’t see what my money is doing. The sign in is not protected and anyone can see what it is for LegacyDigitalBanking. I have heard people say they can’t do bill pay. I pray mine went thru. I’m afraid my long standing relationship with this credit union is coming to an end since I can’t do business like this. One family member of mine has already left because of LegacyDigitalBanking. Think twice about enrolling in this bank if they don’t change this system. It’s already been a couple months. Where are the changes?

TERRIBLE!!!

I’ve Banked with Legacy for years and never had a problem with the previous online banking or app. The first problem with this upgrade was everyone had to obtain new credentials and to my knowledge customers were not told about this prior to the upgrade. Once I finally figured out how to access my account LegacyDigitalBanking is oawful. It is very slow and doesn’t show me all the information that I used to be able to see on the previous app. I waited a couple of months after it came out to write a review thinking that Legacy might fix all the problems but so far they have not. I am very disappointment!

Slow scrolling

After a shaky initial startup, getting able to log into LegacyDigitalBanking and such it has worked fairly well with the exception of being able to quickly scroll through transactions without LegacyDigitalBanking bogging down with each up or down swipe. That part is really frustrating to say the least!! I often wonder why the old app was replaced? It worked a whole lot better than this new one. I still love Legacy In spite of this; they’ve been an excellent financial institution otherwise; I definitely won’t overreact and move my money.

This is ridiculous

Tried to log into my account on my ipad with LegacyDigitalBanking. The “Menu” button which is what I needed access to does not work. If you press it, it goes to the Bill Pay option next to it. The Menu button is also required to log out of the system. So now i’m not able to even log out. This is an insane financial security problem. The level of incompetence shown towards this new app for the last year has had me seriously considering taking my money somewhere else. I am getting to the point where I am not comfortable that my money is secure with this credit union.

A sloth and a dinosaur

LegacyDigitalBanking has the speed of a sloth and is about as user friendly as a dinosaur. I’ve patiently waited for Legacy’s IT department to correct the flaws, but have become frustrated and disappointed that I still can’t scroll quickly to view transactions without the screen freezing for 5-6 seconds on my phone every time I want to scroll; and I can only view the summaries of my accounts, no transactions, on my iPad...can’t even pay bills. After 35 years of great service from Legacy, I’m tired of wasting time and being frustrated every time I try to do online banking from my phone or iPad.

Bad implementation means untrustworthy bank

It has been a month and a half since the update and the bank still refuses to fix very simple issues with the new system.

Debit card transactions should have never shown as deposits if any testing was done, much less over a month later.

The “due date” for my mortgage is currently just whatever day I made my last payment. Again this should have shown up in testing if that was done.

Now Apple releases a new iOS and Legacy is again caught with their pants down and LegacyDigitalBanking isn’t working. They AGAIN send out a “do not update” alert AFTER many have already updated. We knew IOS 14 was coming out before we even knew about the system change. Your developers should have been prepared.

Like many I am contemplating pulling my entire relationship with the bank. If you can’t implement a new system, why should I trust you to keep up with my money?

Bugs that need working out

I am unable to get into the Bill Pay option. When called to speak to someone about this the voice mailbox was full so I was unable to leave a message. This morning I saw a $200 and a $5 debit I did not recognize. I was able to click on each to find out they were a payment to Bank Americard and a Bank Americard fee! I don’t even have an account with Bank Americard! When I went into the account later these charges were gone. LegacyDigitalBanking is very slow.

Rushed but stable

It is very obvious from the rest that LegacyDigitalBanking was released to soon. With a release that made LegacyDigitalBanking unstable and then the update to iOS 14 making it impossible to use LegacyDigitalBanking until developers had the new iOS as a trusted OS. Living in Europe not being able to talk to anyone but still be able to upload checks and manage my money transfers is nice and I enjoy it

Frustrating

While LegacyDigitalBanking has improved from the initial launch, it is still so frustrating to use. You cannot scroll though your transactions without LegacyDigitalBanking constantly lagging/circling/freezing. However, the lack of a rolling balancing is shameful. WHY IS THERE NO BALANCE AS YOU MOVE THROUGH THE TRANSACTIONS!?!? There is an overall balance but no way to see how your balance progressed throughout a period time with each transaction. How is this acceptable for a financial institution?

Slow and Poorly Designed

First, LegacyDigitalBanking is very slow compared to the previous app.

Second, I am also not a fan of the “suggested offers” section on my main account page. Please give us the option to remove it.

Lastly, the design itself is very poor in my opinion. I had to switch the the UAB theme just to be able to read the letters and numbers. Light gray on a white background is a poor choice for displaying information.

pretty bad

Monthly spending total seems to be way off. Transferring between accounts, which was my favorite feature of LegacyDigitalBanking , used to be easy and instant. When I tried to transfer money from checking to savings in LegacyDigitalBanking LegacyDigitalBanking said the transfer is scheduled for yesterday and the transfer is pending. The new website has the proper transfer date, but otherwise the new website is very very broken. It is difficult to understand why Legacy did not beta test LegacyDigitalBanking better.

Can not log into an existing account

With so many people using online banking how in the world do you launch an app that does not take your current bank credentials. LegacyDigitalBanking should have NEVER been released without allowing your current credentials. You have to go through the enroll process again which would be OK if it actually allowed you to enroll it does not it tells you to contact your local branch or customer service which you guessed it are not answering the phone!!!

One star rating is too high!! LegacyDigitalBanking is so slow it’s pathetic it takes forever to sign in and it buffers the whole time. when you click on your accounts it takes another 10 to 15 minutes before to before your data appears and then when you click the transaction for details it has no transactions or details found. sometimes new is not better if it’s not broken don’t fix it. Also not formatted for IPad.

Horribly Designed App

As a graphic designer the layout of LegacyDigitalBanking makes no sense. Whoever designed it has no app design experience whatsoever. Checking your transactions it’s not color coded for expenses versus income. There’s no where it tells you the previous balance, and the fonts used are not meant for numbers. They also bury the link to do check deposits. I’ve been with legacy for 10 years, but may jump ship because of the usability and integrations they lack.

Stopped working...

It was already hit and miss. Suddenly, my phone (iPhone 11) doesn’t meet minimum security standards for LegacyDigitalBanking to even work. So I go online to the mobile page, I can’t see my account balances and it has my right transaction information but the account name on the info wasn’t mine. Legacy needs to try again and get it together. About the only thing cool is the UAB background option.

20th Century Bad

Why am I still with Legacy Community Federal Credit Union? The in-person service is pretty good. Total opposite of the in-app service. Who the F made LegacyDigitalBanking? Half the time the servers are down. And the fingerprint login is slower than putting in the password. And the website, seriously?! We are not able to use Firefox. What is this, the 1990s? I’m a web/app developer, so I know that’s bad development. But hey, at least their in-person service is pretty good, right? Oh, wait, COVID-19. 😩

Says I’m not enrolled in online banking...

Like the previous reviewer stated, the new app told me I wasn’t enrolled in online banking. And that was after they made me input all sorts of sensitive info like social, DOB and bank account number. Then when I went to “enroll” on their site it just span and did nothing - probably because I AM enrolled in online banking and have been using it for years! Sounds like somebody didn’t do alpha and beta testing before launching LegacyDigitalBanking ...

Field Test? Nahhhh...why bother!

So after deleting my previous version of LegacyDigitalBanking (which worked fine) I downloaded this new app and was promptly told I was not enrolled in online banking, I had the wrong password, I could not enroll in online banking, I had to call, phone lines are not operating, no operator to answer this line, no matter what number you push,… Way to go legacy, Way to go.

So you replace LegacyDigitalBanking AND online banking on the same day and neither take your old credentials? Theoretically not a problem if either would let you re-enroll. BUT - you might have guessed it - this is not the case and the customer is now completely locked out. Wow, whoever your IT company is (or should I say WAS?!): you picked a good one...

Terrible Rollout of new Mobile Banking

This new app has literally deleted every single member’s account from online banking. Most of the buttons in the new app don’t even work, and there’s no backup option for online banking. Going on 12+ hours without knowing the status of my account, and I have bills to pay.

New app

I deleted LegacyDigitalBanking and then went to download it and read all the other reviews here and you all got me really scared. But it was too late I had to proceed with the new app and much to my surprise it worked perfectly the first time no problems whatsoever. I’m on an iPhone 8 that does not have phone service at the moment and it still worked. The only thing I need to figure out is how to change my phone number that the bank has on file. Luckily they had my correct email address so I got the security code fine.

Awful

This could not be worse. Been banking with Legacy for decades. With this awesome new app, my old login doesn’t work. It tells me to enroll in online banking , which gives me the error “call Customer service” which leads to endless hold, and no resolution. Thanks so much, Legacy Community Credit Union.

The old app will not work. The new app will not let me log into my account. The support phone number does not work. The old phone number is continuously busy. Firefox and Internet Explorer are not browser options. Other than not being able to access my account or receive support, hypothetically it’s has the potential to be a marginal app.

Doesn’t work. No contact yet. And the contact us button under support IN LegacyDigitalBanking doesn’t work... the other app worked at least. I relied on LegacyDigitalBanking and now I have NOTHING to replace it. Will be considering switching banks now. Very sad. I would have thought you don’t kill the other app until you know this one works.
