App - very slow. Lot of UI bugs, for e.g, if you click on the bell icon (alerts), there is no easy way to come back to the Home Screen and worst everything lines up awkwardly on the phone screen. Very little information (for e.g, no mention of transfer limits)… and all this in the age of XOOM, Remitly, etc. Wow!
Support - You have to call Support to know about transfer limits, if you exceed $5K, then you’re in for a ride. Transaction involves, doing a wire transfer by physically going to the local bank that too in the age of Covid. Are you kidding me, now look at your competitors… there is no way to increase limit without making multiple transactions. the only reason I even attempted to try using M2I is because every time I call support regarding my NRI account, I get asked about this service (and of course the numerous emails).
ICICI bank proclaims they are the number 1 banking system in India. However, their app is little to useless, and their support is substandard. Every time you call customer support, it needs with the rep asking “would you recommend ICICI to your friends & family?” Go figure…
ICICIBankMoney2India requires US person to provide Birth Date, SSN etc., why would a money transfer app need this personal information? They are already getting the US bank information that has approved “legal” verified financial information. ICICI has Indian legally approved financial information. The worst ICICi and Money2India doesn’t provide any information in their FAQ as well. How our personal data will be used etc. There was no way to give anything less than 1 star otherwise I would have done that. Disappointed.
It’s very annoying that Face ID does not work. I tried enabling, disabling Face ID in ICICIBankMoney2India several times. Still expects to enter password every time. Also UI screen does not adapt to size of screen. Login button overflows beyond the bottom of the screen. I’m looking at alternate companies. Been with MONEY2INDIA for over 10 years. App quality has deteriorated.
These guys are forcing us to share personal information about occupation and employer name without our will
They also want to track our overseas bank accounts and activities.
This is completely irrelevant with respect to the SERVICE they’re giving as an app “send money to india”
For occupation/employer when i added “other” as data because i dont want to disclose these information to ICICI they blocked my profile from verification.
ICICI can be sued for violating personal privacy of customer and spying on customer’s other bank accounts without logical reason
I will definitely file a case against ICICI
Its more than a month and half and i am not able to make a single transaction, worst app with loads of errors and app crashes, worst of all call the remittance customer care its worst each executive gives a different information. Not at all ICICI rated service, i have been with ICICI for 13+ years and as NRI account holder for 2 months i called dozens of times in vain. Its a pain using ICICIBankMoney2India and maintaining NRI account with ICICI. I would say search for banks with better digital tools and technologies.
After logging in successfully, the spinner has been on for very very long time. The website also has issues when using the back button ( not the browser back button) especially when clicking on edit button in the review transaction page and click on back.
The ICICI mobile app is also very slow, perhaps there is something common issue between banking and money2india app.

ICICIBankMoney2India is deeply disappointing in its performance and functionality. It not only operates at an agonizingly slow pace but often fails to load the main screen altogether, despite multiple attempts to uninstall and reinstall. I am perplexed as to why it hasn’t been updated to support the latest versions, and it seems to lack even basic compatibility. Every time I attempt to use ICICIBankMoney2India , I encounter persistent issues that make it nearly unusable. It’s hard to understand why such a poor-quality product has been released without resolving these fundamental problems.
I have used ICICI in the past to transfer money. After a break tried to use them again. Their policies and customer service have gone downhill since - almost at a level of being fraudulent.
Tried to transfer money - the transfer was put on hold with no notification - had to call multiple times to understand the issue - finally they asked for documentation - sent the documentation - they cancelled the transfer and held the money for 60 days before returning it citing policy - and then returned it through wire transfer resulting in fees.
Effectively, no service provided, costed a tone of time, and incurred wire transfer costs. Please use other services that are more ethical and have customer friendly policies. These guys are frauds.
I have been using and some times try to use over past seven or so years and it seems to take one step forward and two backwards.
Their latest ridiculous innovation is blocking users using VPN on mobile app when their app fails to login when you are traveling outside home country.
Their website still works and allows you do to what ever their mobile app is blocking, so I don’t understand what their IT is trying to block, other than causing unnecessary pain to users.
Height of ridiculousness. Bank needs to check on whoever is executing this poorly in their IT.
Until recently ICICIBankMoney2India would have shown the exchange rates without logging in but now it doesn't. Even when their servers are down the message pop up would say to check my internet connections.
For transfers 2-10k is better to do Remitly for better rates
Menu and Notification icons overlap with battery and WiFi icons on screen. Those buttons don’t work.
Takes a lot of time and atleast two attempts to login.

Touch activated, but never works! Hard to get any useful information from the “Track my transaction” option. They ask for survey but if you add any comments it just doesn’t get submitted! Whatever option you click, it will log you out! Previous version was 1000x better, it’s available in ICICIBankMoney2India Store (don’t know why!) but it doesn’t allow you to use it even if you install! Terrible and sad story for such a big bank!
I have an outstanding experience in using ICICIBankMoney2India they have a good promo codes and I get good exchange rates as well the speed to transfer is very fast , I have added people from both accounts Icici and non Icici bank and the amount transfer is just great ..I recommend ICICIBankMoney2India to all

It’s a great app for quick transfer money to India. It also remembers the transactions previously made using the web browser. I am not sure why there are so negatives. It’s possible that people are not used to ICICIBankMoney2India and when they get frustrated give negative remarks. I would recommend using ICICIBankMoney2India compared to the browser. It’s more safer and no data is saved. Browser is less secure and not recommended.
Money remitted almost instantly using app service through instant money transfer.
Overall experience was satisfactory and comparatively better than other platforms.
