My school district had a previous app that did real-time data when picking up the kids to and from school. I really love that app. With Chipmunk, It took two months for me to get an account because of the glitches and problems uploading my children’s information in the system than to turn around for it to not work constantly is nerve-racking. The same problems that I had when I first got Chipmunk are now happening again. I am so sick of Chipmunk. I wish I could give you zero stars.

Just installed, added both kids. Now can’t see either kid or any bus information and no way to re-add the kids. When it was briefly working I couldn’t see the full bus schedule- just the next drop off time. I guess I have to wait till the morning to see when the bus is supposed to arrive.

School suggested I download to track bus.. However Chipmunk simply does not work at all.. and there no way to get technical support either.. don’t bother downloading

Seriously, what a piece of crap! Constant error messages, several different ones. Have yet to be able to get any information from it. GARBAGE!

3 days into the school year and Chipmunk hasn’t worked once. Not sure why we stopped using Here Comes the Bus because that app wasn’t nearly as bad as this one. If I could give “0” stars I would.

Terrible app. App would fail to launch 90% of the time. Just would freeze on white screen or force close. Tried reinstalling on several phones and will freeze while trying to select school.

You would think schools would use a more reliable app, I can’t even add my kid because it says incorrect info. I don’t see any good review on Chipmunk, and nothing being resolved. At this point I rather give my kid a phone and get add him to my 360 fam app, that tells me exactly where he’s at.

This barely works, and when it does it still doesn’t work correctly. It would say the bus is 5 minutes away, when my child has already been dropped off. Schools need to use something else.

Does not report bus location most days or does so at the very last second. ETA is often off by a few minutes even when just driving across a neighborhood. Honestly confused at how often it doesn’t work and how little seems to be done about it.

Incredibly buggy. Doesn’t import bus info from connected systems properly (e.g., PowerSchool), so the bus #, pick up, and time is different than the source of truth. Even if this info was correct, Chipmunk crashes multiple times per use. Needs major fixes. In current state, completely worthless. School systems need to get their money back.

Our school district switched from Here comes the Bus to this piece of trash app that is absolutely useless! I truly believe someone in charge must be related to whoever created Chipmunk because at this point that has to be the only reason. Chipmunk does not give accurate information most times it gives no information at all. When it’s working it’s an hour off! Really what is the point? What a waste. I wish I could give it minus 5 stars.

Convoluted set up, have to force Chipmunk to close to update settings, e.g., from no notification to notify 10 min bf bus arrival. Then when you go to see if the notification was changed successfully, it automatically reverts to no notification so I’ll just pray I get notifications. Are there any software engineers or ux people working here? Doesn’t look like it

Chipmunk is wonderful! When it actually works, but 90% of the time… it doesn’t. When it DOES work, it helps me track the bus so I can know exactly when to send my kids to the bus stop. 4 days out of the week, I have to guess because Chipmunk won’t load. FIX IT PLEASE. It’s just fine when it does work, but it never does.

Chipmunk is horrible! I’m lucky if I can even log in without it crashing. I’ve never gotten it to work correctly. Even when you call for help they can’t figure out what’s wrong. Has never worked properly for me. Not one day! It’s so frustrating, especially when I think about the fact that I need this for the safety of my child. It’s unacceptable. We deserve better. Please do better.

Chipmunk never works I need to get it fixed because a lot of us parents are waiting for Chipmunk to work so we can find out when our kids bus is coming and if you call the School School tells us to call the person that controls Chipmunk and it doesn’t work when we called them they tell us to call the school so what’s the sense in having Chipmunk if it’s not going to work

I’ve reached out to the company but their response is that it works fine on their end. What?!? How does it only work for them and no one else? I have to delete and reinstall Chipmunk before every use. Otherwise it just sits on a blank screen with the logo. These developers need to push themselves a little harder to make this right since parents depend on Chipmunk!

I have been using Chipmunk since our school district started to use for past 3 years. It’s touch and go if it works or accurate, it’s it wrong when bus shows up then app goes off 10 to 30 Minutes late. When updates come out I have to delete app and reinstall it then weeks go by trying constantly to log back into system. Called school district but they no help at all with softwares.

This is the absolute worst app that any district could pay for. It continuously removes the student from your selection and tells you you have no student selected. But when you go to the about screen, the information of the student is there. It tells you to contact support yet support never gets back to you, then says to contact the district. The district tells you there’s nothing they can do the problem is with Chipmunk .

Why in the world did my school switch from here comes the bus app. This is the worst app of all time. It’s the most inaccurate app I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t even work 99% of the time.

Today was my first time trying it & it was spot on . The bus arrived at the time that was provided. I even received a notification letting me know what time my baby bus will arrive at her after school camp that afternoon. Definitely will recommend. Chipmunk is going to make our mornings much easier !!!!
