I was able to print just fine the first few weeks then it suddenly would not allow me to print anything anymore. My husband is the only one that can print stuff. I deleted Brother and redownloaded I’m hopes it was a glitch or something and after authenticating and doing all the steps I can am unable to print pics off the internet. The whole point of us getting the printer was so my kids and I could color throughout the day. Such a bummer!!

While I’m sure the intent is to make life easier through propriety applications and proprietary file services - I don’t want to have to use your app for standard actions like scanning and I really don’t like how hard it is to avoid your services for the resulting files.

New printer is useless. Old this app app won’t recognize new printer, and new app won’t install on iPad, because it requires a version of iOS that isn’t available on my iPad.

Old printer died, so I’m just out of luck.

Tried to connect my this app HL –2170W. It asked for local network access and I gave it. When it tried to scan for the printer that is on the same network, it gave up and couldn’t find it. I then manually enter the IP address which I had just verified by going to it and verifying that the printer was there and it is. I put in the manual IP address and it still couldn’t find it. Brother is getting deleted immediately.

Won’t work at all! Won’t connect to WiFi so it is useless, paid over 100. For this and have tried everything.
-10 stars for wasting tons of time too! Not worth 0 to me

What’s going on? Both of the apps I download doesn’t find my printer and I have the same messages about local network .is not possible to print

Setup was not easy. Even with the set up assistant app, which I found just as confusing as the written instructions. It took me 4 days of trying to figure things out. Let’s just hope that the quality of my copies and pictures will make up for all my frustrations.

Printer constantly drops off line with my pc. Often resort to using phone app to print but less quality as not what I paid for. Should not be happening at this time and creating unnecessary work around for simple printer execution.

I gave 4 star for mobile print because it took so long to upload the document!

I’m impressed with the ap and the ability to print photos directly from my phone.

Plug it in install Brother and it works. What more could you ask her?

By far the best printer ever all tho the ink it’s pricey but well worth it can’t complain about it

Happy with all the features but I do wish the software would include a program got photo printing.

Very reliable, love it so far. I had a similar HP model before and got rid of it. No comparison.

Great Printer and the software was very easy to install and works quite well.
I also have an HP printer where the software is terrible.

Brother is a state of the art. I click and go. As easy as 1-2-3. I used HP app for printer and as compare to HP, Brother amazing. See it for your self

Love the way these pictures are coming out printing on 100 %cotton to sew into a quilt for my daughter in law and l know she will just love this project great picts so clear and crisp !
