captcha is awful

My pet is having trouble breathing and I spent 20 minutes trying to get through the captcha. Great vets, awful program. very few apps use captcha anymore.

Error pets not loading

After logging in multiple time I can’t access vet chat due to an error that my pet won’t load 🥴

Why no more phone number?

It’s completely ridiculous that nationwide got rid of the phone number in favor of an app. I don’t want another app to have to access care and absolutely don’t want to be on a video call when I’m concerned about my pets well being. Bring back the phone line.

Cannot log-in

I needed to ask an emergency question about my bird. I tried logging in multiple times even though I paid the subscription and it gave an error. Please fix the issue or remove NationwideVetHelpline .

Doesn’t work

Tried to log in multiple times, kept giving me an error with the verification code. Tried many times and deleted app and tried again. Any verification code didn’t work.

Horrible Customer Service

Decided to ask a question in chat since they moved from VitusVet and got no help from the person. Basically gave me the 800 number to call. Worthless app!!!

Needs work

NationwideVetHelpline is okay but it needs work, there isn’t anywhere to submit a claim and there also isn’t anywhere that I can find my insurance ID cards for all of my pets, I have to keep reverting to the website and even that isn’t working right now. I wish there was a way to find the ID cards so it would make it simpler and so I can remember which plan I have for them.

Its good but…

Its good to have app than keep going to the website. But sadly there isn't a create claim like the website and the last photo in NationwideVetHelpline description doesn’t come with NationwideVetHelpline . And I also wished there was a remember me so I wont have to type my username over and over. NationwideVetHelpline needs a lot of improvements.

Great idea but the app is terible

Have been waiting to get this service separately and was excited to see it offered a la carte. But NationwideVetHelpline is pretty bad - very slow loading, constantly requires you to re-login (and doesn’t let you save your login info in NationwideVetHelpline or using iPhone password feature), chats don’t save if you are waiting on hold and leave the screen. Overall, bad design and you get the feeling that they put very little resources into this. Feels like something from 2008. Unfortunate, because the idea is great and I would happily pay for it, but going to look for alternatives now.

User ID field isn’t configured correctly

The User ID field doesn’t trigger the keychain for saved passwords. The Password is working correctly, but my user name will never auto complete. Please fix this issue! Thank you

Amazing care and advice

I was fortunate today to speak to veterinarian AJ who was so professional as well as truly concerned about my pet. She was attentive and listened very patiently and gave good advice and instruction. This service is quick and convenient. I am so glad to have it available when needed. I couldn’t be more satisfied. And I will share with all my friends.

Sick Dog in the night

After talking with the vet at 1:00 am I felt much better about our sick hound. She put my mind at ease and we were all able to get back to sleep. We just pray we make through the night and everything is better after a good rest.

A Helping Hand

What a relief to know that I have a place to call and speak with a knowledgeable, caring licensed veterinarian when my dog is ill and because it is after hours for our veterinarian, an emergency clinic is the only answer.

Dr. Janice Thomas helped my husband and me through a worrisome illness with our dog, Charlie. Her careful analysis and diagnosis gave us a solid route to take to help Charlie heal. Thank you Dr. Thomas for the excellent advice and thank you, Nationwide, for making this service a part of our insurance.

Vet Advice

I use NationwideVetHelpline and service for the first time today. I am very impressed with the level of knowledge my veterinarian had, the advice given, and the suggestions. I did not have to wait very long to speak to a vet. All of my questions were answered.

Awesome service!

My dog was showing signs of an injury and I wasn’t sure if I needed to bring him to an emergency clinic. I use NationwideVetHelpline for the first time and Matthew did such a great job at looking at his movement and telling me how to diagnose this serious or Charlie just needed rest. luckily my dog seems to have a soft tissue injury and just needs 3 to 7 days of rest. What a great service, this is awesome.

Online vet service gave us the help we needed

Our dog wouldn’t stop throwing up. The online vet gave us the peace of mind we need to decide whether to go to bed or rush to the ER. Amazing service and much appreciated.

It’s Memorial Day and I was able to talk to a fantastic vet within 30 minutes of checking to figure out if my golden had a situation threat required a trip to the emergency vet. She helped me so much!

excellent help

I was concerned about my Maine coon cat who had been very very lethargic yesterday and was vomiting. He has long hair and I thought that it might be due to hairballs in his system,so I called and talked to the vet on Online. It was a great experience because Using the video call, i was able to show the vet the cat and his behavior. We talked for about 10 to 15 minutes about the cat and she watched him carefully. She did give me several recommendations which I will follow, and had them sent through the Internet. It was a great experience, and I like to thank Nationwide for providing the service .

Such a great feature for pet parents

My dog recently had a cystotomy and I’ve had concerns post surgery twice once in the middle of the night and once on the weekend. It has been so reassuring to be able to speak to a veterinarian or vet tech to review the issues and saved me a $200 minimum just to walk into a pet emergency room. They were able to give me feedback and instructions until I was able to follow up with my vet. This is great for pet parents and also as a business great for Nationwide as a way to keep cost down.

Worth every penny

I insure 2 cats on nationwide insurance and I love it for peace of mind anyway but the vet hotline has already paid for itself. I got great information from them, I could send photos, video chat, get nutrition advice, and a full diagnosis and plan on NationwideVetHelpline . I saved at least $200 on a vet visit today that turned out to be mild constipation and I got advice to solve the issue.

Listen with Care

Vet Tech Catherine was very professional and listened to our concerns regarding the issue with our Mister Meowgi and immediately scheduled an appointment with a Vet Dr. now waiting for her call.

I really love that this service is available for our fur babies and it helps during after office hours. It relieves our minds to know you care!!!
