Sure BetRiversSportsbookIllinois is a little laggy, but you don’t need to close and refresh BetRiversSportsbookIllinois like some other betting apps, and their livestream is the only one that works consistently out of the other major betting apps I have (FanDuel and DraftKings).

Also, I’ve had major issues getting my money out in FanDuel and DraftKings. MAJOR issues multiple times. Betrivers is the only app that actually deposited my withdrawal ahead of schedule (took 2 days total).

Overall, they are by far the most reliable. But if you’re gonna complain about a slow interface and not having a Face ID, then get the others.

Would not recommend. Chat is useless if you actually have issues

This is by far the worst sports betting app in Illinois, period. It’s been this way since it’s inception. It continuously lags and is jumpy. You go to click on a team and because the screen jumps, you end up clicking on a team you didn’t intend on clicking on. Everything is just slow. When you sign in, it keeps prompting you to take advantage of the $250 signup bonus even after you took advantage of it. So you have to exit out of at least two separate screens to even get to the Home/Betting screen and games. It’s super frustrating because you click “x” to exit the two screens and it lags. I don’t know how a casino across multiple states can have such a bad app for almost a year now. No improvements. I use four other betting apps in Illinois and relegate BetRiversSportsbookIllinois for my “pizza bets.” I refuse to do any serious, big money betting on BetRiversSportsbookIllinois. Even the bonuses they offer you are lacking compared to the other apps in Illinois. Long story their cheap and take the customers for granted. Surprising for a casino/app that has so much competition in the state.

I have never written a review before, until now. I’m truly embarrassed for whomever signed off on the launch of this service & thought this was acceptable. Simply put, this is worst spots book app out there period. The only thing worse than BetRiversSportsbookIllinois is the customer service. You can never speak to anyone live for any issue or any reason. Your only option then is to ask questions via a sub-par chat platform & hope someone will respond in the next day or so. Even then, they proved conflicting answers to basic account questions. Again another waste of time... Glitches are abound all over the site which is frustrating & even worse an additional time waister. Even the player promos they offer as a benefit are a joke. they do a very poor job of clearly communicating the rules. So you have to read through pages of fine print that will come back to take your money without you realizing it due to unclear language in the rules section. Classic bait & switch. Fan Duel,
D-Kings or your local bookie r far better options.

BetRiversSportsbookIllinois has improved a lot. In the beginning it was really quite awful, but they made commendable efforts to improve the experience. The loyalty program is quite unique in a good way. It makes me want to climb your way up the loyalty levels by betting here instead of elsewhere. The Bonus store is cool but it could probably use more options. The book offers daily profit boost promos which are nice. Occasionally they will do some bet and get promos depending on the sporting event. One trouble I have is occasionally they won’t take the full amount of wager size. On a couple occasions I’ve bet only $10 and the book rejected it. Sometimes you have to get your bet referred and it may come back declined or only partially approved. You usually don’t have these problems at places like DK or fanduel.

I requested a withdrawal from these guys on a Wednesday, and it took til the next Tuesday to get paid. I tried contacting their support multiple occasions and they continued to tell me that it would be processed within 72 hours. This was not the case. I’ve never waited for more than 24 hours with DraftKings or FanDuel. Finally, on Tuesday morning when I realized that I had still yet to be paid, I decided to contact the IGB (Illinois Gaming Board). Later that afternoon I received a call from an IGN Officer telling me that he had helped to facilitate my payment. I recommend anyone in my situation to not even waste your time trying to get Rivers to pay you…Just go to their governing body and your money will be in your account within 12 hours. My recommendation…stick with their completion. Not only will their competition actually pay you in a TIMELY fashion, they also have better odds pretty much across the board

After trying each of the apps for sports betting, BetRivers is easily the worst app I’ve used. BetRiversSportsbookIllinois however, is much slower than their competitors. Trying to locate your bets by clicking on your bets ends up giving you a look at your bets about 50 percent of the time. Seems to get locked up and rerouted consistently so it is frustrating. On the flip side, execution and payout has been fine.

From a service standpoint, I entered my e-mail incorrectly when signing up and customer service was patient and helped me realize my mistake and got me straight. It took awhile which I didn’t understand as I figured they could just look it up with my address or as SS #, but it was my mistake initially so I appreciate their patience. It seems like this is a situation of good customer people having to deal with a lousy app. I feel for them.

BetRiversSportsbookIllinois has not launched but the mobile site works perfectly on google chrome. Do not use safari as I experienced the same issues many have written about while using safari as my browser. However, if you use Google Chrome the site works very smoothly and I have had zero issues. Hopeful that when BetRiversSportsbookIllinois itself launches they make it simple and clutter free.

I’v placed a bet on soccer games and tried to cash out before the settling of all games BetRiversSportsbookIllinois kept telling me that they can’t geolocating me to do so until the games was over and that $1200 was gone finally they were able to locate me. Spoke to customer servers via chat and Bryan was completely lost and kept copying articles from the site and doesn’t even know what to say they i asked to talk to supervisor and here come Donald the supervisor that doesn’t even know what he was saying when i asked him for verification of his position, completely uneducated people that has no life losers sitting there just to waste your time and zero knowledge of what the heck betting is. Downloaded BetRiversSportsbookIllinois yesterday and placed first bet and deleting it now. The conversation with Bryan and the supervisor will be posted on Facebook so people be careful who you betting your money with

I enjoy betting with Rivers and want to continue but your “app” is painful. This is nothing more than the website with an app skeleton wrapped around it. I could accomplish the same outcome by simply saving your website to my Home screen. I hope you have plans to create a true user friendly iOS app that allows for finger print sign on.

This is the one area your main competitor are just destroying you. Your promotions are what keeps me from jumping to a competitor. I would get a user group of actual online sports book customers to help build the requirements you need before you waste more development time trying to make what you currently have seem like a real app when it just won’t ever be one. This is a harsh review but I believe in your casino and wish you the best of luck in the development process.

The winning on this site takes about a week or two to receive into your checking account. First you have to wait 3-5 business days before they “approve” your winnings, then your bank may take another couple of business days before they accept it. You used to able to use PayPal, but for some reason, they took that option away. I just used up the free bets that they gave me. Once I get the rest of my winnings in my bank account, I will delete BetRiversSportsbookIllinois. For fastest approval for funds, go with PointsBet. You get your money in your account within an hour if you have a PayPal account. DraftKings and FanDuel have good first time bet promotions too.

PS It is harder to click on the Cashier tab; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Developer to developer i’m almost certain BetRiversSportsbookIllinois devs had unrealistic deadlines by management when making this. I’m hoping that’s the reason why this was released to the public. That or you’re a consulting firm and got a contract by manipulating management. Either way what are you thinking releasing this when it wasn’t ready. Then the latest update you realized their was lag so the solution was to have a blocking progress!? Thanks I hate scrolling or navigating. Not only that the bet slip will literally pop up whenever it wants. Do you have a QA team?

The only positive about this site is the api to get scores. Legit you guys update the scores before any other app I used. What api are you using so I can make an app instead of keeping your app open just for viewing scores?

The interface is really solid. And Rivers has some great promos and bonuses throughout the year. But my god, the loading on BetRiversSportsbookIllinois (and their website) is painfully slow! Compared to rival sportsbook apps like pointsbet, draftkings and fanduel (yes, I use them all), the Rivers app experience feels like you are using a dialup internet connection. It is BRU-TAL. And anyone who regularly bets on sports knows you need to get your bets in quickly and efficiently so you don’t miss a line. You can’t with Rivers. You’ll just get frustrated over and over with your bets getting timed out to the point that you’ll withdraw and gamble someplace else. BetRiversSportsbookIllinois could be the best of the bunch if they worked on the loading times. And yes I’m on the latest version of iOS and the most up-to-date version of BetRiversSportsbookIllinois.

BetRiversSportsbookIllinois lags a lot - especially when you’re trying to place a bet 5-10 minutes before the start of a game or ufc match or anything. I hope to see more improvements on it quickly rather than waiting too much longer because competition such as FanDuel, DraftKings and others do not lag and is very smooth most of the times.
Also, can you at least get TouchID feature for Apple device to prevent logging in every time to place a bet? And also make it easier to see our bets in play to follow the games or matches. Currently I have to select a random match on home screen and then click my open bets just to see my bets in play - seems very old and not user friendly.

Where to start with this one, after 5-6 months here’s where we are:

1. App interface is extremely laggy and reminds you when you first used the internet in the early 2000s. Cumbersome app that often doesn’t detail out clearly what you’re betting on. Majority of the time what you click on takes to a completely different destination.
2. Certain deals & promos aren’t honored, which is disappointing when told “place this amount of bets” for “this reward.” Reward never comes or the details of what you need to bet on to receive your reward are extremely vague.
3. Customer service is basically non existent. Talked to a “chat agent” about a bet discrepancy for 20 minutes, asking for a direct phone number. Received a generic phone number after asking 8 times that was never answered when called. Went back to the chat to ask for a different number and agent responded with “call again I’ll answer now.”

Is this service legitimate or being run in someone’s basement ? I can’t tell the difference & scary you’re sending social security information to be stored who knows where.

Cashed out and moving onto something different.

I was excited that there was an actual app on after months of waiting, but BetRiversSportsbookIllinois has all the same problems as the website did. The screen will randomly go back a few screens every now and then. You have to click multiple times to get to the screen you actually want. System is so slow when you are trying to bet a live event, the odds change so fast that you have to constantly update the odds. Trying to bet on English soccer requires you to search for it since apparently Belarus soccer is a more popular as it is actually featured on the soccer page. Trying to get to your active bets is a chore. This makes the entire experience very frustrating. It’s 2020 and the fact this is the state of a betting app is embarrassing.

BetRiversSportsbookIllinois just flat out runs poorly. Consistently lags. For example, when trying to review previous bets. If you click on one of the bets on your list to view, there is no back button to go back to the list. You’re stuck on that screen. You have to click on something unrelated, then go back to the list of bets. That is just one example. Constant pop ups as well. Often times if you touch your screen a pop up will show up a second or two later. If you touched in the same spot it will take you to the popup. Very frustrating and poorly planned and thought out app. The new version hasn’t shown any improvement either. It serves its purpose. But BetRiversSportsbookIllinois needs vast improvements to keep up with competition.

New redesign is a significant upgrade to the older version. However, compared to the other Sportsbook App’s still subpar. It is still slower and harder to move around in than other Apps. No quick way to see you bets because load times are slower. Still get pop up ads every time I open BetRiversSportsbookIllinois and takes time to click through them. One of the ads is still popping up about Super Bowl promo. Spoke to someone at BetRivers and they said they would look into it. Still there and no follow up to see if I was satisfied. Still would recommend other apps over this one.

Unfortunately, BetRiversSportsbookIllinois isn’t actually active yet. However, it does launch a web browser and the geolocation app. I have had no problems with the browser working though, hence the five stars. It seems that others have had issues. Give it a shot!

Edit: Alright, it has been well over a month and BetRiversSportsbookIllinois is still “almost here.” We now have Fanduel SportsBook and DraftKings SportsBook, both with functioning apps. I was willing to deal with the web browser for BetRivers initially, but I’ve now moved on. The support staff have been unable to comment on the availability of BetRiversSportsbookIllinois as well. Maybe I’ll give them another chance if they ever get this out to us.

When first released BetRiversSportsbookIllinois was bad but they have made big improvements much easier to use now.

If it was possible I’d give BetRiversSportsbookIllinois zero stars I don’t recommend it to anyone there’s way better options out there with WAY less hassle
BetRiversSportsbookIllinois has no problem taking money from you but it’s like pulling teeth and nails to get your winnings from them. I will not waste any more time or money on this pathetic garbage. It’s like they’re unaware of how advanced competitors are and have zero effort on resolving situations they just tell you to keep waiting. I absolutely hate BetRiversSportsbookIllinois and I wish It was pulled from every App Store to save people the headache

This is not a very good app. It’s relatively straightforward in functionality but will frequently glitch so you have to close and re-open BetRiversSportsbookIllinois .

The odds boosts and promos also do not always populate in your account and the customer service function is not good and will cancel you out of your help sessions.

I don’t think BetRiversSportsbookIllinois was designed with mobile in mind.

Among many aggravations.. too many to list.. here are a few super annoying ones.

While logged in to BetRivers, switching to another app for more than about 30s causes BetRivers to restart, forcing a re-login, and having to navigate back to where you left off. This is extremely poor usability. And don’t blame iOS because curiously, if not logged in, this aggressive restart behavior doesn’t happen.

Why, why, why must I have precise location enabled? That’s just an unnecessary encroachment on my location privacy. You can determine I’m in Illinois with iOS’s approximate location setting.

You have a serious showstopper refresh problem. Too often I’m forced to navigate away from a screen to get rid of stale info. Often times, I don’t see the real odds until I try to place a wager.

I don’t think there is an option to go a same game parlay. I looked up and they had instructions but I couldn’t find it. Is there an option for same game parlay?

Their app is very bad and the website is even worse. They have very unfair cash out amounts and they also did not pay out the correct amount on a bet. Their bet selection is significantly worse than other books in Illinois. The location verification is janky as well. Their parlay system is very limited. The bonuses are weak and generally misleading. Avoid this VERY SHADY Sportsbook at all costs.

I placed a player prop bet and the player went over easily and they voided the bet because the player didn’t start the game… he played 31 minutes!!!! And the customer service chat took 25 years to connect me to an agent who was ignorant and knew nothing about sports. Don’t waste your hard earned money on scammer artists when there better Sportsbook’s out there…

Easy platform to use. Some bet options are limited but the overall majority of the bets that I want to place are available. 98%
Good overall experience

Bet about $30K in 30 days to get to VIP status. Was told a VIP manager would reach out to me. Never did. Reached out 6 times to them and never got a response. Then Brian was extremely rude to me over support chat when I was trying to connect with the VIP team. I use Pointsbet as well and it is much better

Accounts in every state were closed with 0 reason given. When I asked them why they said they didn’t have to give me one. Take there money they close your account. Don’t give them your money better apps out there.

Installed BetRiversSportsbookIllinois and deleted it in the same day. Went through account setup and my system flagged BetRiversSportsbookIllinois as having a known virus. Chatted with customer support and they were worthless. Any app that has these problems is not a good one to get or install.

Compared to the other bet apps they are the worst . You can’t parlay 1st quarters , they will take forever in a day just to pay your bet. But will grade your bet as a lost a millisecond after you lose . So many other apps better than this one

Bet Rivers is the only Illinois Sportsbook that does annoying, hours wait, bet “approvals”. You don’t know if the bet actually goes through since there no alert notifications . Shady as heck. Don’t get annoyed and use their competitors.

Every time I try to open BetRiversSportsbookIllinois it tells me “congratulations for completing my account setup,” proceeded with asking me to accept the new terms and conditions. BetRiversSportsbookIllinois inevitably reloads as soon as I click “Close,” making BetRiversSportsbookIllinois completely unusable.
