Well done to Dave Rubin and everyone with the Locals teams! This is the opposite of some other social media platforms, this is the internet done right. A place for content creators and consumers alike. Most platforms focus on the consumer experience, but Locals is built with creators in mind. The future belongs to the creators and Locals is where it’s gonna happen! The community is growing everyday and the features continue to roll out and become more streamlined. I work for one of the largest tech consulting firms in the world and I am constantly impressed by this platform.

I was understanding of Localscom being in Beta and the bugs and issues that arose. Additionally, I felt grateful that Dave Rubin created a free speech platform where you can hear information and opinions that don’t necessarily conform to the mainstream media narrative. However, since Locals was acquired by Rumble they no longer have responsive customer service (or customer service at all?). Reporting significant issues, such as all of the show replays on Coffee with Scott Adams being cut off EVERY day are totally ignored. They have not responded to my multiple attempts to bring this to their attention or even acknowledged the issue despite the fact that I pay $7 dollars a month for the bonus contract. This is really disappointing, guys.

This is my favorite social media platform. It brings together like-minded people and keeps the trolls out. It is place to freely discuss topics that big tech deems controversial without having to fear censorship or deplatforming. Three suggestions: Add a casting option from WITHIN Localscom to cast to your smart tv. Add an option for users to create and post their own polls just like the hosts can do. (This could, of course, be a function that the host could disable if they don’t want users polling their page.). Lastly, the autocorrect is a bit wonky on Locals.

Being new to Locals, I am feeling a little awkward getting used to this kind of security/intel forum, but at NO fault of the great host, contributors or content. I am experiencing a relaxed but engaging community while embracing the host’s encouragement to hang in there while collecting valuable information for OSINT potential. Since this forum has been around for a little while... I hope I can reach back often to past submissions and members’ input. I can already tell that this will be well worth the energy. Thanks for adding it to Locals!

We are being manipulated, conned, gaslighted about many subjects that have been aborted and sidelined by leftist “leaders” since they were so clearly exposed by a very moral capitalist Donald Trump who finds it easy and natural to define socialist and communist members of the government! Trump is a reincarnated McCarthy lighting the way exposing the scammers and con artists and CCP agents! Liz Wheeler is the new Rush Limbaugh and has been inspiring a new generation of Republican warriors! Cris Rufo is the newest moral hero exposing the moral and racist rot in our education and government institutions! BRAVO to all of these warriors for truth and justice!

I have been following Dave Rubin for a long time. I am amazed at this tech platform he has created. You can join a community or start your own. And although most people in these communities are like minded there is civil discourse when people disagree on certain things. It’s not the dumpster fire of the big tech platforms. I can talk politics or vent bout my day. I can post a picture of my dog or show my talents. And come on it’s Dave! His positivity keeps me going. Thank you sir for this revolutionary idea! 🙌🏻❤️

Overall the concept and app are good. It’s a nice alternative to the oligarch social media. However, in Localscom it is not easy to find new communities by interest or topic. Also, subscribing to more than just a few communities with more than just a few people adds up very quickly. Am I going to pay $50 per month to subscribe to 8-9 communities? No. Subscribing at $5-8 per legitimate, good-sized community is too much. Or, to make it affordable, you have to just pick one or two but then the usefulness of Localscom diminishes.

Very fact specific and in depth discussions. The many areas cover all you need to know
Including terminology for Dummies. It answers questions I didn’t even know to ask. Best information transfer in areas possible. Keep up great work involving tops in fields didnt Know existed. Ignorance not bliss and this closes large abyss that insurance, contractors, pass off as normal when anything but.

I find it difficult to navigate your app. I love the content, but find it hard to get to where I want to go. Also, I don’t want notifications from everyone I follow and can’t find how to change those settings. Lastly, I would love the ability to share this information to all other social media including Facebook, Twitter, and my texts and Email contacts.

A suggestion I have is a video for users on how to navigate your App.

We love this platform as it allows one of our favorite conservative who runs the channel Out Of The Darkness to give us info. We have come over from You Tube because of this particular channel and are now financial supporters. I will add though that I think Locals needs to make it clearer on the support aspect. I didn’t understand the “buy coins” deal at first. Otherwise, keep up the great job

Localscom is really solid and functions very well, but, beyond the tech, it’s the concept itself that really brings it home. Locals offers a new, better path forward for social media. It allows creators, not big tech, to have the power over their platforms and not worry about creeping censorship that other platforms are participating in. I strongly recommend.

Hey Locals, haven’t you heard? Millions of content consumers prefer to speed up podcasts & videos. (Many also slow them down— great for complicated or technical topics, and for non-native language listeners.) A range of playback speed adjustment options is calling me back to other content platforms, sorry. I want to support uncensored platforms, so just let me know when you get Localscom up to speed (so to speak).

A “Help” or “Support” menu item inside Localscom would also be normal.

I can’t overstate how fantastic this platform is for creators... especially compared to YT and FB. The paywall structure is just such an effective way to keep the conversations civil, and uncluttered by haters, trolls and bots. Such a simple yet elegant solution. And the user interface is intuitive, and visually polished. If this is the state of things now, I’m beyond excited to see what the future holds for the platform.

I only belong to one group on Locals. However, Locals is different than other social media sites in creating community. There are no ads nor censorship. In the group In which I’m a member, there is no division. Thanks for creating a safe space to have intelligent conversations and build relationships.

just joined and still learning how to navigate and find content. so far it doesn’t feel user friendly. also community membership fees are expensive and you can’t join in with comments unless you’re a member, so that’s disappointing. i understand some content may require a paid membership to view/join discussion, but i couldn’t even add a comment or “ask dan” a question on bongino’s latest podcast, which you think would be free. my rating is generous right now. perhaps it’ll change once developers get more feedback and make positive changes/upgrades. so far i haven’t been real jazzed about anything created on our side. parler was very good before being taken off line, not so much anymore. rumble is ok. locals needs work. conservatives are better than this.

You have VERY FEW features and even have taken away almost all abilities from the page creator unless I force the members to subscribe if they want to have the information and or so the page creator can assign help.
No direct chat with each other that is private only public. Some of the most basic feature other platforms offer aren’t even available here. I have had to take my volunteer staffing to another site Just to be able to have a conversation for the page.

When you start a stream and turn your device sideways, it says, “Host lost connection.” This is just the latest in a long string of bugs; Localscom has NEVER worked properly. I uninstall and reinstall it multiple times a week, and it still only works about 10% of the time. Please fix this garbage app!

Update: today, it’s blurring out the comments on streams. The blue goes away after a restart, but only for about five minutes. Every day a new bug! All the old bugs, like crashing in landscape mode, are still there!

Love love love Locals thus far. Indispensable in the age of activist media. Few small bugs, however. App won’t show up on background app refresh, tried writing a post three times, but had to re write each time and app wouldn’t access photos, even after granting permission.

VP brings all his expertise to medical issues using his vast resources, knowledge and common sense perspective.
ZD, as always adds his humor but is a master at summarizing and using his knowledge base to explain complex medical issues so most people can grasp the concepts easily.
The two of them together can be a rollercoaster ride of info and perspective and fun.

I think I got on the 2nd day it was started and it has BOOMED!!! I have heard other celebs having similar platforms but flaking out and not contributing. Gutfeld is handling it the way it should be, hands on but not heavy handed. I’ve been off FB for awhile so joining Locals is taking the place POSITIVELY of FB. Glad to find sanctuary😀

If you’re interested in open minded discussions about life politics virtually anything, come to locals, there’s bound to be a content creator specializing in exactly what you’re looking for. There’s no censoring or directing of speech here on low goals. People are very respectful of one another and open to discussions.

Best app and best site on the internet. A treasure trove of medical, safety, and preparedness information. Better intel on security threats than the FBI provides to local jurisdiction police. The focus is info to avoid conflict and trouble not join in such stupidity. Pro America, pro liberty, pro equal protection for all. Radicals of any persuasion, left / right / etc, not welcomed by creators and contributors.

The only change I would like to see is audio being able to play in the background when my phone in standby. I listen to videos or podcasts and have to keep the screen on the whole time.

This social media app provides a platform that offers a positive environment to those of us who are doing our best to surround ourselves with open dialogue without the demonizing of ideas...instead opening the door to an open discussion! Love the access to my Locals Community!

The Locals website is informative and helpful. I get good feedback on the issues that affect our lives all over the world. Learning from the best thinkers out there. Looking forward to more & more people following Locals.

The world can never improve if valuable, nuanced voices are downed out by cynical grifters and nihilistic loudmouths. There is dire for a platform which promotes intelligent, deep thinking and debate can be had in earnest.
I truly hope this app is a step in a better, brighter direction.

I love the Freedom of Locals. I know I can say anything and it's ok. The fact that the community owners can post and say whatever they want without fear of censorship is absolutely fantastic! Plus, it is so great to learn from others in the communities.

... once kinks and pricing are worked out. Really enjoy being able to sit back and read and listen to interesting content without worrying about censors, filters or creepy ads. You know .. like what the internet used to be.

Thank you to the locals team for providing a place for the displaced - the people who love free speech, new ideas, old school discourse (what’s that?) and accept everyone as they are. With privacy and an honest business model to boot.

Love the concept but I keep getting emails alerts 5 times a day when each group puts up a post. I have turned all notifications off and yet they keep coming. Very frustrating.
