I am sure Clutterfree is great. I have loved everything I have used and read with Josh Becker. The low rating is simply because of transparency. Once you download Clutterfree , you create an account and it becomes a fee based service. You get 7 days free and then it automatically charges your iTunes account based on what you chose to simply access the content. I like Josh, but this is almost a bait and switch.

But it’s kind of glitchy and frustrating right now. I love that you can customize your rooms and tasks and keep photos as you go along. I don’t love that you can’t delete photos from the gallery and that photos stored there take a super long time to load. I’ve noticed the ones that I take within Clutterfree take longer to load, and it does this every time I go to the gallery tab. I’m not that patient. I have started taking pictures with my camera and then selecting from the camera roll, so that helps, but I still have pictures trying to load that I don’t even want there. My screen is cluttered, and it’s driving me nuts.

I also had to update Clutterfree immediately after downloading it because it kept prompting me. When I first downloaded, it said the trial was for 7 days. Then when I updated it within the first two hours, the details in Clutterfree Store said 14 days. Guess how many they say I get? Uh huh. 7. It’s 7. Customer support didn’t seem to think this was strange at all. With as glitchy as it is, I’m not super excited about paying a monthly fee, though I do think it’s a beautiful and useful app. I just want it to work.

For what you get with Clutterfree, the price is too high. $4 a month for some room checklists? If it was a one time fee of $4 then that would make sense. You could just write the lists out and cancel before the free trial ends and save yourself money. Maximize your savings and minimize the cost.

The general application design and introduction walkthrough are great to map out rooms and spaces in the home.

A few things: users should be able to add more spaces and rooms after the initial walkthrough, and be able to edit (or delete and re-enter) manual task entries for each room.

A final note for developers: don’t enable family sharing if you’re just going to require a new subscription on the other device in the same household. Or allow cloud sync between two devices using the same sign in account.

A large part of minimalist living is the concept of open communication, and your app should show progress and a feature set towards that goal.

Just got Clutterfree . Very excited to use it.
But I can’t get past the start up screen. App opens and immediately brings up a window saying that an update is needed. If you click on the “update” button it says it’s updating but nothing happens. If you try to ignore the pop up window and click on “Get Started” nothing happens.
Hoping I can give a better review once I’m able to actually enter Clutterfree .

A great way to get encouragement on how to minimize my home room by room and step by step. It is a fun and interesting way to not feel so alone in the process. Ver interesting method.

Clutterfree is fantastic! I love how it gives me a personalized plan based on my home. Breaking down each room into manageable tasks keeps me on track and motivates me to keep going!

I’d expect an app like this to be simple, but it’s truly stunning. The sections make sense, it’s easy to navigate, and it’s one of those apps I can see really making a difference in my routines.

Nice App!! Simple and effective. A great guide to help start what most of see as an overwhelming project. this app is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also helps you categorize your rooms so you won’t fail. It set me up for success!!

Clutterfree is amazing!! For those of us who want to declutter & minimize but don’t even know where to begin Clutterfree is awesome!! It helps give step by step what to do & where to start! Brilliant idea!! Love it!

As silly as it sounds I love checking off boxes and making progress. Super grateful Joshua made the process of decluttering my place simple with Clutterfree. Looking forward to making progress and checking boxes!

This is an easy-to-use app for the overwhelmed mind. While I know it’s still in the beginning phase, I’m grateful that it is already helping me in my new chapter of a simplified life.

I’m loving Clutterfree. I needed motivation to start decluttting my place and that’s what I got ! Easy to use, practical, so helpful. I love that we can take before and after pictures and save them. It gives that feeling of accomplishment! Awesome app!

The this app app is great and I can’t wait to get through all my rooms. I just moved to a new house and didn’t realize how much I had until I had to pack, move and then unpack it all!

It took about 5 minutes for me to set up all the rooms in my house and assign a difficulty level to each room. I love that it sets the rooms up in order of difficulty so you can have some quick successes right away.

I also love all the articles that are in Clutterfree to keep you focused and give you additional ideas!

Clutterfree has guided and inspired me to restart my minimalism throughout my home! I have cleared a few spaces, more focus when I have time and a few minutes here and there. Clutterfree needs some improvement, but that’s normal for a new app. Later versions and updates I’m sure would help! Thank you Joshua Becker for creating this!

What a great way to kickstart and guide de-cluttering at home - with specific steps and a clear app experience, I can prioritize and quickly execute my de-cluttering from easy to more difficult (which makes it so much more likely that I will follow through). And the task lists make it so easy to follow along! Great app and resource that I can recommend to anyone who doesn’t know where to start!

I'm so excited to get started on each room and area in my home. Clutterfree gives a customized step by step process of decluttering each area (including a checklist of tasks to check off as you go). Finally, I'll be able to keep track of my progress in a tangible way. If you've been putting off decluttering and minimizing your home, Clutterfree will give you the motivation and jumpstart you need.

I found Clutterfree incredibly easy to use and manage. The free trial allowed ample time to get started with my declutter and the options for payment were reasonable and in line with Clutterfree -creator’s minimalism approach. The lists for each room were fantastic, seeing the steps and tips really helped to streamline the process. I love being able to track my donations and have the images saved to Clutterfree for access later for tax purposes. I highly recommend Clutterfree!

They must have worked out all the bugs with Clutterfree because I haven’t run into any problems of the problems from reviews earlier this year. Yes, this is a paid app, but if you’re serious about decluttering this is definitely the best (only?) decluttering app where you set up your own house. I like that you work at your own pace and can check off items as you go along, that’s very satisfying and motivating. There’s also a library of resources but I haven’t used that much yet really. May try it if I get stuck at some point. So far though I’ve got 3 boxes ready to donate!

Costs $5 a month. Wish there was a free option with some ads in it.

Clutterfree is free to download but you cannot use it without agreeing to pay a weekly or monthly fee after the first week. This is not mentioned in the description. You cannot even preview it. Deleted.

Looking forward to using Clutterfree! One star for now because it won’t go past “set up your home”. I did all the categories and nothing happens. I tried to “skip” to move forward but that does nothing. Probably a bug and I’m sure it will be fixed. I’ll update when I can navigate Clutterfree !

Clutterfree is exactly what I have been looking for! It is very easy to use and provides great guidance to get started and stay motivated. I already feel less overwhelmed!

Clutterfree is helping me work through my ongoing struggle to minimize at my own pace. Easy to use and definitely would recommend to my friends!

Very impressive app. Not like any other decluttering app I’ve ever seen. You actually put in the actual rooms in your home and receive a room list order to declutter your home - complete with specific to-do lists for each room. It’s been very helpful to me so far.
