About: Remember when moving your body was called playing? Remember soccer practice,
drama club, and finally nailing that box step? Trend has decided what health +
fitness should be. To that, we say, screw it: Let's be different.

About RISE Fitness

Created by Rachel Hollis, three-time NYT bestselling author, and lifestyle media trailblazer—this app is where inspiration meets movement.

The RISE app offers a free 7-day trial to get started! After the first 7 days, the app will have an auto-renewing, monthly subscription at $9.99 per month.

We're obsessed with moving our bodies to FEEL good, and we believe that exercise can be both joyful AND challenging.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.

But we will link arms with you and shimmy our way to a place where everybody + every body is welcome.

The RISE app is where inspiration and perspiration do a high-five.

We're fanatical about YOU and providing a space where every level and any ability can thrive.

Trend has decided what health + fitness should be.

Let's do movement, mindset, and motivation differently.

"Should" is so yesterday and “someday” isn’t part of our vocab.

We're the team captains of the "let's-figure-it-out" club.

We pee a little when we jump and spill water down our shirts.

We won't ever claim to have all the answers because we'll never be finished learning.

To that, we say, screw it: Let's be different.

Was so excited...

Like everyone else has said, great idea, but lacking. For $9.99/mo there should be a journal feature at least available to us. Some people don’t like digital journaling and would still buy the journals (like me!). Disappointed that there isn’t a way to track your water during the day, just a “done” category and some little physical band you can buy to track your water. No thanks. I tried to run with Dave’s nature run today and every time my phone went to sleep, it stopped playing which totally frustrated me and wasn’t how I wanted to start my run. It seemed like it had something to do with my Apple Watch Exercise app MAYBE or just the fact that it’s not real, downloadable audio. Idk I’ll be ending my subscription for now, but hopefully they’ll make improvements in the next 6 mos and I’d be willing to try it out again. Oh, and I did one of Rae’s workouts, full out, and my Apple Watch didn’t even register that I did a work out. Lol it was fun but not even intense enough for my watch to register.

Lacking in expectations

I am an avid Rachel Hollis fan - listen to her books, would love to attend a Rise conference in person and I waited with great anticipation for RISEFitness to launch. While having access to workouts is great - there are many other apps for that. As someone who lives by my electronic calendar and prefers digital over paper I was hoping... expecting to be able to use RISEFitness as a digital Start Today journal. A place to digitally log and track my daily gratitude, goals and dreams. Unfortunately RISEFitness only allows you to “check off” that you did it and if you click on the link to learn more about logging your daily goals it gives you a link to PURCHASE a paper journal.
I’ll be canceling my monthly subscription. If RISEFitness is ever updated to actually work as a digital version of the Start Today journal, I’ll be the first to sign back up.

FIVE TO THRIVE

I love the idea behind RISEFitness. I also love the layout. Many options for how to stay motivated. No one telling you there is only one way. I love the fact you can choose day to day what level and type of workout you want to join. If your mood or your life isn’t set to do “intense” everyday, you don’t have to. With RISEFitness, you get the motivation to stay strong and focused, you log it so you see it, but better than any other...it is your own! The videos for workout and journaling are awesome! I’m in a season of personal growth. The books and now RISEFitness have been amazing for me! Check out RISEFitness and check out the books! Game changers 🙌❤️

Begging You Not to Waste Your Time

I’ve been a huge RH fan and I was SO excited for RISEFitness. I’m bummed to say, don’t waste your time. I’ve already deleted it. There is no way to search for workouts by type of exercise. For example, if I wanted to work out my arms, there is no way to search for arm workouts. You have to weed through them all to find what you’re looking for. I was also very disappointed in the number of workouts provided. There isn’t much offered for $9.99 a month. All the guided runs we were told would be there? I only found one. Definitely not worth it.

RISEFitness is cute, for sure, but that’s all it is. If you’re looking for something other than pretty colors and aesthetic, please don’t waste your time and money. So many other apps exist that are cheaper, more helpful, actually have music, and are overall more thoughtfully made.

Love the Idea

I am a huge fan of all things the Hollis Co! I have been waiting for RISEFitness since conference last year! I feel like it’s missing so much content that I thought it would bring. I am hoping it is forecasted for future where we can connect with them for their daily inspiration. Mood lift when we are not feeling our best or stuck, implement the new mood new you that we can hit and hear the music jump up for 30 seconds. All the wonderful tools that they bring to the world would be nice to implement some of those. For Goal getters maybe access our content. Please think about some of these things I think it would be a game changer for so many of us!! Love you guys so much!

Just Okay for the Subscription Price

I really like the idea of RISEFitness but I’m looking for more content than things I can do myself. The five to thrive tracker is nice, but not worth $9.99/month. The workouts would be more helpful if you could filter by workout type rather than instructor, time, mood, level. Most of the workouts are just about 10 minutes, which is nice to have some of those, but if the goal is to workout for 39 minutes per day it would be more helpful to have a lot of 30 minute or more workout. For example, if I wanted to choose to do a 30 minute run, I’d have content the whole time. Also, a water tracker, and a nutrition piece might be a nice addition.

I don’t normally do this

I down loaded RISEFitness after deleting my free trial of noom (lost interest almost immediately). I anticipated canceling this as well but thought I would try. I loved Rachel but have lost a little love as things got real “motivational” and less business driven. However, I have enjoyed RISEFitness and like the meditations, and especially the walking, treadmill, hiking workouts. I find them motivational and enjoyable. Having done many at home workouts yet but as weather gets colder will probably have to start. Hope they continue to add new content. Thank you!

Disappointing - Difficult to find how to stop auto renew

Like most of the reviews I should have listened to... RISEFitness is disappointing.

The idea behind it is wonderful but it’s lacking a lot (tracking water, tracking minutes to know what is your best, tracking your gratitude).

Biggest disappointment that feels like it’s a gimmick....is the absolute impossible way to find the area to stop the auto-renew. I signed up for the first 7 days free- set a reminder to check how I felt and stop WELL before the 24 hr period but can’t find the dang thing. I reached out to Hollis Co. for tech support and they’re replying with FAQs that may answer my question but DOES NOT answer my question. Needless to say- I’m sure I’ve been charged since it’s been 36hrs since I’ve started to work on stopping RISEFitness and no answer yet.

More focus on fun than fitness

I’m a person who wants to enjoy my workout; I don’t enjoy punishing myself or working with personal trainers who yell at you for “motivation.”

That being said, it feels like the creators are focusing so much more on creating a fun environment than creating workouts that are functional and going to give you results. If you’re someone who is brand-new to fitness and just looking to generally move your body before graduating to other workouts, you may enjoy this, but if you’re looking for workouts to give you results, I’d recommend using the FitOn, Obe, Sculpt Society, or Peloton apps instead.

The other features, combined with the “just okay” workouts aren’t worth enough for me to justify the price.

So light, so encouraging, a real blessing!

One of my favorite features is the daily inspiring messages! I also love the Notes from Rach! Please keep both of those coming!
I have to admit, I don’t enjoy working out, but the workouts on RISEFitness are fun and you can adapt them to challenge yourself. They remind me of Richard Simmons workouts. Fun, lighthearted, no shame!
I would like to have more instructional dance workouts, if you please. And Brad, please teach us some ballet routines!
Anyone who just wants to have fun, be encouraged, be challenged, gain new insight, it’s a great app!
Keep up the good work, Hollis Co! 🥰

Wish there was more customization...

I was looking forward to RISEFitness, specifically the five to thrive section and was thinking I would have one place to track these five aspects of my daily life, however I was let down to find that they were simply checkboxes rather than letting me type in my 5 daily gratitude, track my water intake by number of ounces recommended per my weight, etc. it would be great if they could spend more time on customizing this section to make it more interactable and track able for users, rather than something that you just check off without showing the proof of your work...

Misleading

I have followed Rachel for about 3 years now and have been excited to learn about RISEFitness. When I went to download it in RISEFitness Store, it looked as if it were a free app (which was even more exciting!) Downloading RISEFitness was free, but once inside, you have to create an account and agree to $9.99/month. I think that is a little costly for the amount of content that’s currently available. I would’ve been okay paying for a month to try out RISEFitness if it had a price listed when downloading RISEFitness . Instead, it waited until you were inside RISEFitness creating your account. It seemed a little sneaky to me, which I didn’t like.

It’s simple and fun, but not enough for me (yet).

I follow other workout programs (including Fitbit premium) and have a pretty hardcore gym regimen, so I feel like RISEFitness isn’t enough for me. I liked the idea of the goal checklist, but my Fitbit app does that (and lets you track how much you drink and what you eat). I’m definitely at a more advanced level, but the advanced section isn’t advanced enough for me.

I love running, so running with Dave is an awesome idea, but I kind of feel like it would’ve been a lot more real if he was actually running (like he does on Instagram) while recording the audio. It would feel like I actually had a running partner!

Disappointed

When an app is labeled as FREE in RISEFitness store and says “in-app purchases available,” that generally means that you can access a few features without having to pay for them, and you can then choose to upgrade to more premium features.
Not the case with the Rise app, which disappointed me a lot. You either sign up, pay $9.99/month and get ALL the content, or you get nothing.
You can’t even browse RISEFitness for a minute to see WHAT you would be paying for before signing up. Yes, there’s a 7-day free trial, but how many of us remember to cancel trials before we get charged?
I’m certainly not anti-Hollis Co, but I do hope they’ll consider offering a free version for those of us unable to pay $10/month.

Great premise and expecting more content

The premise of RISEFitness is fantastic. There needs to be more content added for inspiration and motivation; more videos and recordings.

Optional tracking mechanisms unique to each “5 to Thrive” would be a great addition (i.e. wake up time, ounces of water consumption, minutes on the move, etcetera).

It seems there is more content to come so I’m going to stick with it past the free trial to see what’s next!

By

No free content

Don’t download RISEFitness unless you are ready to sign up for their 9.99 monthly membership. There is no free version (just a 7 day free trial) I am a big GWYF fan, RISE conference attendee and regularly fill out my gratitude journal. I am disappointed that you can’t access anything without signing up for a membership. My thought is the the daily inspiration, gratitude and goal setting could be free with an upgrade option for additional content and workouts of course. In the current pandemic, many can not afford even what sounds like a small amount monthly. However everyone could really use some guidance, encouragement and goal structure; unfortunately even that has a price tag.

Disappointed

I was soo extremely excited for RISEFitness. The first week was pretty good. I love the colors and little cheer when I complete activities. However I am no longer getting them. I’ve already completed all the workouts in RISEFitness after week two and didn’t find any of them challenging. They would like to cater to everyone at all fitness levels yet it’s not nearly challenging enough for someone who works out regularly. I was also hoping that the start today journal would be apart of RISEFitness . Especially for the price. Overall I’m not impressed and will be canceling. Truly bummed out.

Not quite what I was expecting.

Absolutely love The Hollis Co. I was so excited to download RISEFitness but for $9.99 a month it is lacking. I love the 5 to thrive checklist but that is literally all it is no place to put notes or addition info. I’m not always able to carry a planner with me so it would be super nice to be able to save info/notes for my 5 to thrive so I could see at a glance where I’m at in my day. Or at least be able to track my water. The videos are nice but not $9.99/mo worth in my opinion. Still love the company but I’ll stick with a planner which is a one time fee every time a I need a new one.

Waited a week

I really truly wanted to love RISEFitness!! I actually put off buying beach body for it bc I love the people instructing in RISEFitness and they motivate me on a daily and I thought RISEFitness would give me mental and physical strength. However, all RISEFitness does is track everything my daily planner tracks and only has 3 thirty min workouts! I was super excited about the next 90 day challenge with RISEFitness but there is no content normally either the 90 day challenges that are free (not $9.99 per month) there is weekly content but RISEFitness just tracks your five to thrive each day and that’s the 90 day challenge.

By

So far loving it!

I love that I am able to choose what I am able to do at the time. I’m loving the motivation talks with Beans. I love love how the workouts with Rachel it is as she is truly there and knows when you want to give up. Looking forward to the fun music and more motivational talks. It is a BRAND new app. And a work in progress. I personally am looking forward to the growth in my self as RISEFitness and concept grows. It truly is an app for anyBODY.

Girl, save your Money!

Wow, if the description of the type of women they are catering to for RISEFitness doesn’t turn you away (those bloated and imperfect who pee themselves 😬) the Richard Simmons rip off workouts in terrible workout gear will definitely turn you off. Does Rach have any original ideas, everything she does has already been done. Don’t waste your money.

By

Not worth the money

This is mostly a checklist for the 5 to thrive... you can use any plain notebook to track that. The workouts are very basic. There are far better fitness apps out there, even free. Not worth paying for this.

By

Worth the wait.

I was hesitant to pay 10.00 a month. Worth the money. It’s ease of use, 100%. I currently have two sprained ankles, so I was a little worried that my ankles wouldn’t be able to handle the workout. There was a few that I had to modify, but the workouts and the instructors don’t make you feel like less than just because you may not be able to do everything. It was fun and made me laugh and I love being able to track my 5 to thrive virtually.
Thank you Hollis Co! It was definitely worth the wait!

Rachel is a SCAMMER

RISEFitness and the whole brand is a scam. Don’t download it and don’t buy anything.

By

Rach is my motivation!

So proud!!! I’m 21 and have always looked up to you rach. I will be a motivational speaker one day and will work at Hollis Co🙏🏼You inspire me so much rach. Keep your head up and continue being you because you keep me going and are needed in this world❤️ can’t wait to try RISEFitness .

By

Be prepared to pay

RISEFitness is advertised in emails as something anyone can access. However, it isn’t until you download RISEFitness that you find out it’s 10.99 a month after the first 7 day trial.

Better than I hoped for!

It’s even better than I hoped for! Thank you HollisCo for all of your hard work, so that now WE can focus better on OUR hard work! #letsgooooooo

LOVE! 💜

I normally don’t write reviews but I have been eagerly waiting for RISEFitness to finally release. I recently found Rachel Hollis about a month ago and so far she has helped change my life. I am in love with RISEFitness set up. It is simple, yet packed fuel with such great information and great ways to hold some accountability. I love that there is information on how to practice gratitude, how to journal, daily work outs, etc. RISEFitness is great!!

By

Download NOW!

Greatest fitness app ever! It’s designed for REAL people!

By

Too expensive

You have to pay $9.99 a month. Most apps have a few features you can use for free.

By

I’ve been waiting for this for a long time

When Rach and Dave first announced they were working on an app, I was so excited. I knew the workouts would be good, but the intention to use the full five to thrive in RISEFitness is so convenient. I did one cardi-yo workout this morning and I enjoy that I can work out for ten minutes at a time. Thank you for creating RISEFitness for us!

By

Only purchase option

I had a sliver of hope that there would be a basic option of RISEFitness to AT LEAST check off daily stuff. And then the paid option would include extra benefits- exercise instructions, daily gratitude entries, etc. But nope. It’s all or nothing. Disappointing to not offer anything to people who can’t afford $10 monthly or that don’t need/want exercises.
