Terrible

So I got this camera for Christmas and was really excited to be able to monitor stuff in my house but the camera and app turned out to be terrible. Firstly, it took me over a week to get it connected and then it cannot be unplugged. I try it over and over and over again and it does not connect. HeimLink shows me something completely different than what it is. If you are looking to buy this camera, just don’t.

Most recent update is terrible!

HeimLink has always been a bit buggy, but this past update has made the full screen playback almost unusable. The timeline playback-bar is now white and disappears as you scroll through it. Would also be helpful if the interface had a dark mode option. Thinking of ditching the camera for something else.

To many problems

These cameras since getting a newer iPhone 14pro they have quit sending notifications I checked the settings and they should come thru but don’t. There’s not really any support to talk to. Pictures are sub par. And they miss card and people but never a big. The also do not track as they claim. Wish I had gotten something different, but after drilling thru my walls for the wires I’d have to repair walls and reseal and paint again in order to replace them. I would recommend to buy a different brand camera.

Horrible Customer Service

My camera is now useless after I switched my internet providers. It won’t let me set up or connect the device to the internet. I’ve been trying to get help from support, but they have no contact number and take forever to email back. And when they do email back they just keep telling me to reboot the device.. basically the instructions on HeimLink that obviously I’ve tried over and over. Waste of money, now have to buy a new camera. Wouldn’t recommend.

Worst security app ever

HeimLink is horrible. Unless you pay for a cloud subscription you cannot find alerts in playback without watching all of it, you cannot pause playback, you cannot even see the playback for a good 6 minutes after you get the notification. Great for letting everyone steal your stuff while you sit there in anticipation. HeimLink is a failure!! Well, unless you want to pay extra money.

Got hacked! Cannot change ip admin password

They dont give an easy option to change the camera ip admin password. Yes you can change the pw on HeimLink but not the ip admin password and i got hacked. Even after changing the password, someone can still access it. One time I turned off my camera and then it turned on a couple times even without me turning it on!! Not safe at all. Beware!!! They should provide an easy way to change ip admin password for the camera.

Wont order this ever again

To much trouble to get the thing to load and connect to the WiFi when the WiFi sits right next to it. Have contacted the company several times to get a refund and all they say is reboot, reboot and reboot which I’ve done over and over again. They totally refuse to give a refund and I’m stuck with something I paid for and it doesn’t even work properly...... So frustration especially because I paid for a year subscription.🤬🤬😬😬😬

I cannot access my settings feature at all

I cannot access my Settings feature. I used to love these cameras, but now I really hate them and my one camera the picture is so fuzzy with lines going across it. I cannot playback my camera on the SD card, that no longer works says video not available then you have to buy a cloud service for 5.99 a month. I think I’m going to go with a Wyze camera.

Connection issues

I can’t view live video, It keeps telling me “no internet connection” but I can see play back from mins ago, also it’s not connected via wifi, it’s connected via LAN cable and I can view live video from my mothers phone, so there’s definitely something up it used to work great now it’s just such a pain in the behind! Help please!

Used to be OK

HeimLink was great when I had cloud service. I had to stop paying for the cloud and got SD card and again it was great I don’t know what has taken place over the last 2 - 3 months but I now get ads when I open HeimLink and now it is not recording onto my SD card,. It also gos off-line constantly very irritating

Multiple cameras multiple apps.

I have another camera from the same company, but different mode. Thought I would get another from the same company to make integration easier. When I received the new one, I had to download another app, so now I have 2 cameras from the same company that can’t use the same app. If I had known this I would not have bought it.

2nd Review of the updated app

I complained the first time and miraculously an update was provided. I was happy that perhaps a developer finally listened to the community but nope app still freezes and is slow to display camera notifications. I don’t know what to do with it anymore half time I can’t view the camera to see who’s by my garage so it’s useless at time. May return product and use something that has a simpler and easier app. Thumbs down from me yet again. Update this terrible app and maybe fix the issues correctly this time

Retrieveing recordings with SD card

HeimLink was working fine, only issue was HeimLink has never sent me notifications on my I-Phone, I have to open HeimLink to see any alerts. Also my iCloud service just ran out and I have it set in settings to record to SD card but now I can’t even see alerts in HeimLink at all! I tested it by walking in front of the camera, it followed me so I know it’s tracking my motion but can not find that event in HeimLink . Can someone help with this?

iPhone 14 issues

I just upgraded to an iPhone 14. HeimLink has been having some issues all the sudden. HeimLink will open but when a camera is selected I’m not able to maximize the screen. And then I have to close out off HeimLink altogether. Hope there is a fix soon because we’ve enjoyed using it up until now.

Well...

When I initially ordered this device it seemed I didn’t have any issues in the beginning ,but as the weeks went by I noticed my camera continually freeze and was slow to record the notifications. Eight times out of 10 it works fine ,but now I’m really frustrated because it happens to go off-line constantly and it’s just frustrating. I think I may just have to look into obtaining a refund.

Speaker

I purchased this for my parents and I purchased a different brand for my house. I am dissatisfied with the this app. I can’t hear anything anymore. I have tried everything. HeimLink is not that user friendly. But the most important is the speaker. I have tried rebooting it and unplugging it. What else can I do. I have HD it for only 3 month when it stopped working.

Anyone having issues

I love HeimLink and I’m able to maneuver pretty well through it, settings and all! Have recommended it to many family and friends. I do however wonder about something. Ever since my cloud storage expired, I started using a SD card, and I have noticed that now it takes forever for love or prerecorded video to open up when I go to HeimLink ! Any help would be appreciated. My service is great, WiFi is working properly. I am just wondering if maybe it’s because of the SD card? Help?

HeimLink app

This apps is great and easy to use but big things is need to update HeimLink because so many things don’t work and not support the customer and smart phone too. It was not showing all settings and many.

Satisfied with performance/Features

This video security system works perfect for my needs. I’ve even decided to purchase two more for other locations.
The ability to monitor multiple locations is nice.

App Is Great....for the Heimvision HM203 at least

It is probably an oversight on my part but I have the HM203 UG Indoor Camera. This device connects well with HeimLink and the ease of use and functionality of HeimLink is amazing, there is very little lag when going to each camera and the ability to move to grid format and see all cameras live is a huge perk.

However, I procured the Heimvision Battery Powered HMD2 and for some reason that device can only use the HeimLife app and won’t sync with the this app app. And vice verse. Usually when this happens it is a user error on my part and I missed something but doesn’t appear so at this point.

This is more as a heads up if someone is thinking of adding a different Heimvision camera as you may need a second app. Otherwise, HeimLink is great!
