I have always trusted this app but not until recently they started acting up. Firstly, you can’t reach them on any number and now as I write this, I tell you their email cannot be found again( I mean when you send an email, you gonna get a response that the email can not be found). How did I know this? I sent money to a friend last year December 2021, my friend called me and said someone disputed the money and that they have to refund the money back to the sender from one microfinance bank in Nigeria. I was like since December 2021 and someone is just disputing the money in September 2022. So I look for the receipt and sent to my friend so he can go fight it in his bank. Now, I sent email to that effect, although someone replied the mail 2 days later but as i replied the email directly from what I received I got the email back saying “ address not found and your message could not deliver “ I have deleted Afriex tho when they put my account under review. At first they ask for my IF card, now they want me to send my bank statement and last for digit of my debit card. I will rather use other app that sends dollar to dollar instead of them. And I am going to report them. It’s looking shady now.

I have been sending money via this app for months!!! It is always something, I have done everything they have asked including providing them private information about myself. If you are not technical advanced, stop trying to over due. They are refusing to send money to a Nigerian account, saying it has failed. I have sent to this specific account. Trying to reach them proves non existent, their phone number gives you a busy dial tone. Their chat, you will get an automated response maybe after every 2 hours, and save yourself on the email because they do not reply. It's not everyday, having issues. Please sort yourselves out because this is ridiculous

They start out processing your transactions with no issues and operating in a professional way but as with most things associated with Nigeria, the service is not sustainable. Their rates change and they nickel and dime you to death. Once your money gets into their hands you are at their mercy because they hold onto it and you can’t get your money back no matter how hard you try. The best part is they try to force you into opening a bank account with them and the first thing they ask you for is your social security number ……
I can’t believe I got suckered by them I should have known that it was too good to be true. I guess though that they lure you in and there is the initial honeymoon phase, everything is going so well but they are grooming you, the they start coming at you with ridiculous and unusual “change in policy”, crazy rates and service fees. All I can say is if any one out there is thinking of using this company for their money transfer or in any other capacity, just DON’T because I learned the hard way.

Afriex shouldn’t exist on this platform. I am not one to write reviews but if there was a way to rate something less than no stars then that’s what I’d give Afriex. My third transfer on Afriex was woeful and the customer service experience is nothing to write home about. They don’t have a contact to reach and the chat/emails and ticketing system on Afriex isn’t met with the urgency a transfer requires. Till this moment my money hasn’t been refunded, transfer didn’t go through and my ticket created hasn’t been responded to. The money in my wallet can’t be withdrawn to the account and no useful help has been given. I would definitely not recommend to any human with senses. Also to the 896 people faking 4 & 5 star reviews, you’d soon find yourself in the same situation and possibly regret your lies

First time using the rate was showing #545 per dollar and then the receipt shows the rate was 501. The amount I send did not go through according to them the amount is high for first time sender. I got refunded back in Naira not in dollar that I paid. Spoke to one of their customers service she said my amount is correct in Naira and dollar. To send half $400 and then send the remaining after 24hrs. I did exactly that but guess what the supposed amount was not the case any more because their rate have gone up so I got charged to complete the current rate.
I have been transferring money to with other app and have never been refunded in Naira when service or transfer failed. I only gave this a try because a friend recommended it. I guess it will be my last transaction here. I will have to go back to WorldRemit which remains the best so far.

I signed up for Afriex through a friends referral. I was in nigeria and hoping for a quick transfer into my Nigerian account. I have gone and gone back from nigeria and even after several chats via the apps customer service, no one verified my documents to allow me to start adding cash. They first told me it would take 24 hours. Then I was told to wait till the next business day. Then I was told it would actually be 24-72hours. Then I was told to resubmit docs via chat and they will escalate. I submitted on Jan 6. Today is 18th and still, no verification. DO NOT WASTE YOUR ENERGY. AVOID APP.

this app was good when I started but right now I am beginning to give up slowly ,first I made a transaction and a week passed my family
Didn’t receive the money,I sent bunch of emails to the suppose customer service,and I never got any reply or help,rather I was getting a computer kind of response,I almost had a heart attack with worry,after few days the money finally went through,right now I am going through same thing and it’s been more than a week and my money is nowhere to be found,and as usual I have written the so called customer service and still havnt gotten help,no phone number to reach them with,only a stupid email that doesn’t give you help,I need my money ASAP ,I am a regular ,I make two or more transactions every week and I shouldn’t be going through this,I am so upset

I have used a lot of apps from $end, taptap, sendwave, wise, PayPal etc and none have been as buggy as Afriex. The exchange rate displayed is not the actual rate. Instead of directly sending funds to the receiver, they credit your this app wallet first🤦‍♀️ if the payment fails, you are left with no choice than to transfer from the wallet, mind you, theres no way you can send everything which means something would be left in the wallet(very silly move)

Secondly, i used Afriex and even though the payment failed, the wallet was credited after i updated Afriex but with a completely different exchange rate than what they displayed as rate for the day. The kicker came when they said they’d refund but in 5 business days😃

That was a bitter pill to swallow seeing as it was a Friday and the funds were meant for an emergency. The worse part is, the funds are still sitting in my wallet days later but i cannot login to the buggy app for more than 2 seconds. My bro has funds stuck for 2months now as well. Don’t even waste your time, these people will frustrate you.

Oh! Did i mention Afriex is stuck on the same page you left open for days? Zero security.

This is so far a worse App you ever want to trust with your money. I sent money, they deducted on my DEBIT CARD then I received in Naira account so they put my wallet on -36,600 Naira talking about they did a refund from what I sent July 14th which was a lie nothing was refunded then they promise to call me back to have this fixed. Now the owner of Afriex , the customer service, the chat no one is responding to me and my wallet now on negative. Same way 700K was withdrawn from my Nigerian account and when I called they said this app hasn’t been remitting the dollars taken as they are third party bank was why they debit the accounts they credit. This is unfair and Afriex needs a thorough review

If i can give zero i would. Always one problem or the other. Afriex constantly crashes. The straw that broke the camels back was when Afriex crashed in middle of a transaction then said it wont process till i update. There was no update available, i use a different app only for them to process it (WITHOUT ME UPDATING) then to get my money back they say they cant. I have to tell the recipient to refund. Refund to what account? I dont have a Nigerian account, they say they dont know all they know is i cant get my money back. Customer service is useless, each time there is an issue they are never useful. On the bright side they work sometimes but as a business woman i need reliability not so so service.

In terms of convenience Afriex has provided that but in recent times it’s become unreliable.
Their turn around time to resolve complaints are terrible. In this month alone I’ve experienced challenges remitting money from this site 2ce
this app needs to be more accessible especially via phone. The phone no for this app is a dud non functioning no. The chat app does not respond to your complaints in a timely manner. In fact I’ve had to wait 2 days to get a response. And then they close the chat due to non activity. Such a big shame.
It’s apparent the owners of Afriex have a lot of work to do to come up to par. After resolving the last issue I will no longer be using Afriex .
Totally disappointed

I sent money to a friend in Nigeria. Usually, when I send through WorldRemit, it arrives within 20-30 minutes, at most. When I used Afriex, the arrival date was estimated to be days from when I sent it. The next day, I was told that the money made it to the bank, but it never did. I have tried to reach out to this app, via their chat function, with no response. I’m very disappointed. The only reason I gave 2 stars, instead of 1, is because there was a different transaction with another friend that went through and was received. I don’t play with money. If this issue can’t be resolved, this will be my last time using Afriex

Afriex is undoubtedly unique but it still has a long way to go. The rate of account under review and withdrawal failed due to no obvious reasons is really high. Emails sent are barely answered and whenever they reply, it’s always with promises and hardly any solutions given. The fun thing about Afriex is when it works, it WORKS. The cash-out / withdrawal is very fast with the money available in your bank account within seconds, buying from your bank account and sending to user is also very fast.

In general, I believe things would get better as some some previous challenges have been addressed by the this app team and I have noticed more and more improvements being made daily.

The folks here are funny. Each time their App is down, instead of being honest they become defensive and start deceiving you. They kept telling me to uninstall and reinstall but it is their app that needs to be updated. I just realized it was updated last 2 weeks. That means since my whole complain for the last one week these folks have done nothing about it to fix the problem they were having.

If you value your mental health, have some other platforms on the side so that you don’t just get used to using only them(this app). I learned that late!

A big shout out to the developers of Afriex! Ever since Boss Revolution was banned, it’s been super annoying getting dollars transfers back to Nigeria. But this app has revived the spirit of sending money hassle free! I tested it out by sending just $5 to my Naira account in Nigeria and it was transferred literally in less than 5 minutes! Kudos to the developers! Keep up the great work!

I recently had an event in Nigeria that require frequent money transfer to several local accounts in Nigeria. this app is amazing in facilitating the transfers. It allowed me to pay several vendors I was doing business with. The rates are competitive and the transfers were quick and reliable and most importantly they take security seriously with multi-factor authentication and other measures deployed to keep you safe. I’m glad I found Afriex. I used to go through other people to send money to my Nigerian account, which was often tedious with non competitive rates.

I’ve been trying to send money for the past 2 days now, it haven’t been going through. When I go to select which bank and account I would like to send money to, when I click continue, it would get stuck loading for hours. Please fix this. I’ve never had this issue in the past until recently. It also looks like Afriex was updated to a new version, could that be the reason Why I’m having technical difficulties. Please fix! I need to send money urgently. I’m afraid I may have to try other apps

Afriex is literally the greatest money transfer app on planet earth (I am not exaggerating at all). Afriex has solved the global issue of sending money globally. I’ve sent money to Nigeria twice it got to their accounts the moment I clicked on the send button. Do you know how kind bowing my previous statement is? No hassle of picking up physical cash from a bank that possibly could be too far considering the poor transportation system in Nigeria as a whole. God bless the owners and creators of this app.

For over two weeks Afriex keeps saying account under review. Each time I contacted them they'd say the problem has been fixed. Till today May 31, 2023 my $20 is still in the wallet. I asked them to credit my money back to my bank account but they have refused to do that. I was able to send money once or twice, that was it. Then it kept on saying Account under review. Will not be using them again.

Someone introduced me to this money app and I’m like let me give it a shot. Sent $5 to my Naira account in Nigeria to see how it works but to my surprise the money was deposited within a second, no charges, easy to use. You just got a new customer. I highly recommend Afriex to Nigerians having difficulty sending money home and other African countries. I’m now sending money with Afriex everyday without any delay, best rate. God bless this app, continue the good work.

Towards the end of reviewing my transaction I noticed for some reason the “payment review” option is not showing for me….. How I wish I could upload a photo of it!
