Horrible Rental Car Company.

Each car i rented had maintenance issues & two cars broke down on me, reservation i had made this app cancel due to maintenance issues & didn’t even give me a chance to rebook. One car i rented had a strong weed smell in the interior, no matter how much i cleaned & used air fresheners nothing worked the smell was overwhelming. this app charged me $160 for the weed smell even though it clearly came from the last renter & my uber rating went down because of the smell! one car this app charge me $75 for gas fee ($70 for the fee of returning the car not on the FULL & $5 for missing gas), i was only missing $5 worth of gas!!! this app look for any reason to get money then hide behind their policy! while this app is providing cars with problems!!! I will never use this company EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KINTO Just Killed Their Program For Rideshare

I've been a loyal user of this app for my rideshare driving needs, over $10,000 spent on rentals. I'm deeply disappointed and compelled to share my recent experience. this app's new policy, implemented in November, caps vehicle usage at 1,400 miles per month. This change has severely impacted my ability to drive full-time for Uber.

As a full-time rideshare driver, I typically cover between 300 to 400 miles daily. With such a low mileage cap, it's practically impossible to make a sustainable income and pay for the vehicle rental. This policy feels like a direct hit to drivers' earnings and flexibility.

Previously, this app was a go-to choice for me, but this change feels like a money-grabbing strategy that disregards the real needs of drivers. Limiting miles to such an extent directly restricts our earning potential, which is the opposite of what a driver-supportive rental service should do.

Regrettably, this will be my last rental with this app. I cannot support or recommend a service that seems to prioritize profit over the practical needs of its users. Until this policy is revised to better accommodate the mileage needs of full-time drivers, I will be looking elsewhere for my vehicle rental needs.

- A Disappointed Former Customer

My first rental with them went fine. It was halfway through my second rental that they charged my card $150 stating that I didn’t have enough gas in the first rental when I returned it I immediately told them they were incorrect and how could they let me get halfway into a second rental and decide to charge me $150 they then try to charge me another $200 on top of $150 that they charged me for again gas not being completely full in the first rental when I returned it I think this is Highway robbery. I don’t see any judge stating that it’s OK. I don’t care what vehicle it is. None of them are gonna hold $150 worth of gas and I know for a fact that there was enough gas in the rental when I returned it. I use them through my Uber driving app. I’m a single mom trying to make ends meet and they’ve tried to charge my account for over $350 for gas in a minivan that I rented a month ago. Single moms beware if you’re like myself it’s hard to make ends meet in a company deciding that you didn’t have enough gas in a vehicle and charging you $350 makes it really hard to pay your rent.

Very poor company

Before renting a car with this company, make sure you read all the guidelines and fine printing because they will trick you. A flat tire in the road because of a pothole is considered an accident and they would charge you $1000 for a tire and when the tires changed, they will make you return your car before the due date with no credit, they already charge an outrageous price for the rental let alone all these things that they touch on and make sure you read before a green to anything and make sure you don’t get any flat tires. Check your vehicle and make sure that it doesn’t say maintenance required the whole time you have it also, but that was reported it was OK. It’s OK. The car doesn’t need to be maintenance. It’s OK it’s fine.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST…

I wish I could give them zero stars. They wasted months and months of my time and after paying for the background check with mine and my husband’s credit card, when I first applied, nothing was ever said about it even though I contacted them multiple times as to why it was taking so long to be approved. They first said it had something to do with my background check, but then I got an email saying that it had been approved, then I still couldn’t access KINTO or the area where I could rent a vehicle and so I contacted them again and they said it had something to do with my drivers license picture being blurry. So I took it multiple times just like I said to do. It’s been almost a year and come to find out, they said that I couldn’t rent because I used mine and my husband credit card. I am absolutely disgusted by the whole process and how much of my time they wasted. I did absolutely nothing wrong and even offered to send them my marriage license. But no help. Glad I didn’t waste money with them anyways.

Consistent back to back nightmare on customer service

First of all finding the pick up location is not even listed I had to contact customer service text support line to wait for them to send me a address on it when it should be already on the reservation after I paid to book.

Second issue there is no clear pick up location or instruction on where to pick up the vehicle at the big location so I spent half the day walking the whole property trying to find where to pick up the car at.

Third issue this at this so glitchy it kicks you out all the time it’s so embarrassing standing out in the hot heat trying to get into your car but you can’t because KINTO constantly glitches that’s the only way you can get in is by using your phone.

fourth issue when I picked up the vehicle on a quarter tank of fuel I figured this may be a problem so I took a picture and I uploaded a picture onto KINTO showing it’s fuel level and you would assume that they would automatically check the vehicles fuel level before they rent out to the next reservation and I believe they do but the person that I’m speaking to from customer service after returning vehicle with more fuel than when I picked up doesn’t care because it’s another way to roach up on $80 for nothing.

Fifth issue I rented this through Uber share program and they forgot to sync my profile for the Uber driver feature.

Just an complete disappointment and must improve in order to grow.

If the car doesn’t work, because other cars aren’t available you’ll be forced to keep that one and most likely won’t be able to exchange. this app gave me a car where KINTO key does not work and charged me for the car anyways. this app informed me to leave the car and they will tow it back, but they did not for over a day and charged me. It has been one of the most stressful rentals in the industry. You also can not speak to anyone over the phone in person ever. You may text KINTO for help. You are chancing losing your money because the car is not guaranteed and the service is by text and they may not be able to help u at all and might ask repetitive questions, per text ticket changing from person to person. If they give u a broken car they’ll also blame u.

Horrible experience

This is the worse choice I have ever made to rent from them. They don't let you know that all cars have limited mileage, until you will find out by yourself later. While other companies offer you unlimited mileage on the car. Also the company don't have tolls tags/devices on the car so you will be charged unexpected high amount every time you’re going to use the toll roads. Lastly the handling was extremely difficult, there is no physical employees that can help you to locate the cars or to assist you with accessing it. You will not be provided a physical key, it’s all handled in their app with make is hard to lock and unlock the car sometimes especially if you’re hands are busy any you can’t use your phone. Overall, my experience was horrible and I don’t wish for anyone to go through the same issue. Try to avoid renting from them!!!!

Horrible

I keep having issues with them and they keep targeting me by setting me up. It’s becoming a problem. They gave me a dirty damaged car they said they would reimburse me after I cleaned it. I sent a receipt and never got a reimbursement I waited 5 days. Now they didn’t know I was going to extend my date so they shouldn’t of anticipated I was and not reimbursed me a discussed, instead they gave me a credit on my extension which we did not discuss because that wasn’t a decision yet, instead of being reimbursed on my card like it was discussed. This is why I have no hope in humanity the little intricate set ups and forced conflict is immature and not business professional. They want to constantly force me to write or explain a conflict they created unnecessarily so. I don’t recommend using their business untill they can get it together.

Horrible TWO experiences

I rented from this rideshare company on two back to back occasions and on the first occasion the car had a terrible smell to it in addition to having the license plate light resulting in me getting pulled over. Furthermore, this last reservation was the complete worst the car’s license plate was hanging off, it was completely dirty, on a quarter of a tank when it said it was at a full tank. and best of all it didn’t have a horn which is ILLEGAL in California. How i find that out one might ask? We’ll i almost got side swiped and I couldn’t use the horn! There’s no customer support number you can contact either. it’s all through text and they’re completely no help the entire reservation I couldn’t use the vehicle until they towed it back to the lot it was picked up from. Please be aware. I wish I could take the one star away because that’s too much credit.

Worst Experience Ever

This company is an absolute joke. Do not and I repeat do not under any circumstances rent a car from this app. They have the worst customer service because it is non-existent. Everything is done through KINTO . There are no actual people that you will talk to face-to-face. They do not understand your issues and they do not attempt in any way to remedy them. I am now on my third vehicle with them and they have nickel and dimed me to death. Do not use this app! How difficult is it for someone who is assisting you through text to identify themselves when they start to help you? What a joke! I will never ever use this company again and I hope they go out of business. They are nothing but scammers who charge an exorbitant amount with limited mileage. What an absolute joke. Update: Your ridiculous apologies mean nothing. It's just lip service. DO NOT RENT FROM this app!!!

It’s crazy how these people will sit down charge for everything both car wash, things are necessary. I pick up the car when it was dirty. Return this car clean just stain drop on a seat. They charge me $150 for no reason, taking my money that’s stealing. Advise everybody to be careful with this app be careful with these people. They don’t have good customer service They only wanna take from your money. Be careful if you rent a car from this app THEY out steal our money Uber drivers don’t even benefit from driving this company car, to giving you for 1408 miles for seven days charge you $500 bucks i really can’t imagine I was charged another $172 the next day same car was seating in there lot nobody rent the car I rent this car first week of October return it and rent end of October pick up the car on same spot I left it, be careful guys this app is not for uber drivers

So easy you can mess up

The car rental is nice but what makes this rental service a hassle is how easily it is to end a reservation. This button should not be easily accessible, someone could accidentally press it and easily make the mistake of ending early. On top of that, the inability to lock the car while it’s still on makes it difficult for quick stops in and out of the car. You have to turn the car off and then lock it. Another thing, you may or may not be able to lock the car when it’s turned off! KINTO can’t connect to the car a lot of the times which is needed to lock the car…you can start the car without KINTO 😒which makes locking it even more needed. I don’t know if you can start any car without KINTO but once it’s reserved it’s free game it seems.

Saved My Personal Car

I used to use my own car for rideshare but after so many gas fillups, mechanical issues, cleaning, etc. I needed a better way. this app is insanely convenient since they take care of everything.
Recently the cars have all been in pristine condition and I get lots of compliments from riders which help the ratings and tips.
If there ever is a problem, the support is very fast and helpful.
Even though it’s slightly more money spent than using my own car I save all the wear and tear and time taking care of it so it’s definitely worth it.

A Lifesaver for Rideshare Drivers

Living as an artist in L.A. can be difficult. It can be even more so if you don’t have a car. Ridesharing has given me the freedom and flexibility to make money and still pursue my craft. Stressed about the expensive rentals and insurance, I needed to figure something out. I’d come too far to give up on my creative dreams. Then I discovered this app!

this app has literally been a lifesaver! Not only are their rates cheap, I can rent a car with full insurance for up to 14 hours. They always have weekly and weekend deals to help drivers earn more! If that wasn’t enough, gas is fully paid for! You just login, fill up if necessary, and drive! Checkout is a breeze: just logout, send photos and you’re done! Oh... and did I mention the cars are locked and unlocked through KINTO ? No keys!

I have enjoyed the incredible customer service and experience of driving with this app Share. It’s one of the most cost-effective car rental options around!

Don't choose to rent a car here!

If you are a driver of any kind, whether it is an Uber driver or if you want to rent a car for a road trip, don't choose to rent a car with them! Very bad! The doors won't unlock for no reason! They have a repairman, but they don't send a repairman to unlock the door! They will tell you that they are contacting the towing company to tow it back to the parking lot (because that is their policy) and you will be faced with an endless wait and you can't even check out KINTO ! All you can do is wait! But actually I've been waiting for a week and they haven't towed their car back to the parking lot! You can't drive your car to be cleaned because you can't move it, or even get scratched by another car. These are risks you take, and they take money out of your bank! Don't choose to rent a car at their company!

Best choice in DFW

Renting from the major companies is a chore. They confirm your reservation and then call you two hours before to tell you that they don’t have a car for you. When you get a car, its an EV, which is lame. They charged me for a week after I turned the car in.

this app is nice an easy, the hard part being finding a car to rent. Once you find it and you pay for it, its going to be where you expect it when you need it. Cars are high milage but a higher class of car than I am accustomed too. Leather seats. Heads up display. Premium sound.

Tech support is also on the ball. They respond to texts with “please wait 3-5 minutes while I find an answer.”

The big rental car companies don’t answer the phone, and if they overcharge you they confuse you with an email chain to the point of frustration.

My only real issue with this app is that all of their Texas fleet had expired registration at the end of august and they didn’t prepare for it at all. For this reason I rented from Avis… don’t do that.

Convenient, great customer service

So getting in contact with customer service even though it’s through text is not a problem , they have replied within less than a minute every single time and they get to the point. They won’t ask the same question over and over without any real solution or some kind of progress . It was easy to locate and reserve the car I just wish they had more available and that they were looked over by a human before being rented out . My car had a flat but I was able to put Ari in the tire and now it’s fine . They should consider having air for the tires available at the pickup sites and have more hybrids available for uber drivers. My Camry rental turned out being an AWD model which uses more gas :(

As Good as it gets, and trust me, I’ve tried the rest!

An amazing and convenient service tailored to the specific needs of todays urban car-dependent driver! The customer support is second to none, leaving it’s nearest competitor in dust, far enough behind it wouldn’t even be considered the same race. And I truly mean that! Not only is it available 24/7 through both near instantly call or text but it is also staffed with highly capable, thoroughly competent and extremely patient staff that genuinely seeks to provide great customer service by understanding any issues or questions you might have and provide you with the fill solution/information you were looking for. Definitely would recommend and sincerely look forward to using this service frequently on an ongoing basis!

Great middle ground rental option

Checked out a this app rental for the week and it was a much better rental experience than going to a regular rental car company.

The set up is a little tricky and you’ll probably be on text message a little bit if your ID doesn’t show well when you take the verification photo, but afterwards, it smooth sailing.

You literally make the reservation, drive up, inspect the car and unlock it with KINTO and then you are on your way!

And the best part is, you’re going to pay at least 1/3 to 1/2 less than you would through a regular rental car agency. However, I think you have to rent it for the week you can’t go a few days unless you’re doing the service for daily rental for Uber or Lyft or any other kind of service.

We used it exclusively for a trip. However, I think other people use the service for Uber, Lyft, and other services available on mobility.
