I find this watch and App so helpful and useful. My 7yr loves it and so do I. We moved a lot. And we can’t trust people. And knowing I can keep an eye on him and it tells me when he leaves a safe zone and enters a safe zone is very helpful. I am able to message him and see how he is, I can call him. Etc. the only thing I don’t like is it dies very quickly. But the schedule and tasks are AMAZING!!

The watch works good, We can have my 8 years old son tracked when he is walking from school to home, but the apps sometimes don’t work correctly, we don’t receive the message notifications until we check TIMEXFamilyConnect , and the notifications for safe zone came 5 minutes later with some lucky. Need work more on TIMEXFamilyConnect , is a good product but need actualizations.

TIMEXFamilyConnect has been working well. It took some getting used to when the alert notices wouldn’t go away immediately. Learned we had to check the alerts, back out of it, and then go back in to the alerts. Otherwise the red alert doesn’t disappear.

The 1-star rating is from the construction. The construction is not suitable for a child that does anything other than play video games inside. Two of the bands used to hold down the end of watchband broke the first month. The other followed after a couple more months. The clasp for the band broke today after 10 months. There is no place to order a new band. T-mobile sends you to Timex. Timex sends you to T-mobile. If your going to sell a wearable product...provide a way to replace parts!

It works as advertised, both tracking a device and letting us chat with our child. Unfortunately it has to poll the device manually, and that can take quite a while. It also has to fetch messages from the server, which all messaging apps do, but it doesn’t do it until you open up the messages section of TIMEXFamilyConnect , despite having already notified you of the message. Why doesn’t it download them at the same time as notifying you? The entire app also relies on a server running on dial up to serve messages and location data, making app navigation take much longer and cumbersome than necessary.

I love this watch and app it does everything to keep my child safe and in contact with me while I’m working so much also I had an issue with my charging doc it just stopped working outa no where and they sent me a new one at no cost to make it right also helps tech my kid to be responsible great job making this thank you very much very pleased

It gives me peace of mind being able to track down my daughters location at all times. It’s also very convenient being able to communicate with her through the watch and at such a small price to pay.

I was experiencing difficulty with TIMEXFamilyConnect for some time and decided to delete and download it again. The download went perfect, but I have been trying for a week or so to log in and am unable to. I already have an account and thought let me try the new account. Nope,email already being used. So I am going in circles. I tried to get support and that didn’t work so I’m going to try going through t mobile for help since this is where I purchased my child’s watch.

It worked ok for its intended purpose but now TIMEXFamilyConnect is struggling and loading/opening the message take a while with a few phone restart hoping TIMEXFamilyConnect will work as smoothly as it should. It is also a hassle that you need to open an app to send a message or to call the phone. Doesn’t provide real time location tracing and Doesn’t really work if you need to send a group message to your family. Ok for kids 4-7ish if you have the patience to work with TIMEXFamilyConnect but just get the apple SE for kids to young but not old enough to have a phone.

So it is hard for me to give a good review of this watch, when my first one the battery could not last and my second one continues to disconnect from your network and only works if I restore factory default settings. When I do that, it erases all my Contacts for my child. So I have to reach out to everyone to re-login and reestablish their connection to your phone. It’s just still missing some critical reliability features and has caused substantial time with support and standing in line at stores to try to diagnose and fix.

The watch keep on losing signal and say “ no internet connection “ when even when in the house and very strong internet signal , I have to turn the watch completely off and on again in order to get signal , plus the locate the family is very slow , sometimes my child is been home for over 15 min when I receive the notification 😩

Yesterday I rushed to my 7 year old daughters school because I got a notification stating she left campus. When I got there the front office seemed concerned and immediately went to her teachers class just to return with my child. Better safe then sorry however I wish it was a bit more accurate and more in real time. I also received a notification at 12am with the same notification this is a huge turn off.

Well I got it for my son ! An it has come in handy I figure just a little more of figuring it out an it will come in handy ! But over all he loves it an so do I ! I would most definitely recommend this to parents who has children who are Autistic as well ♥️

One of the problems we just started having is that while he’s on a call it gets disconnected and tells him it’s on airplane mode. He loves the watch and other then his location being slow and the airplane mode coming on by itself it’s a great watch for my Grandson who is 6 yrs and he loves it as well as me

The watch does what it’s supposed to do, but the speed is ridiculously slow. I will be with my son and 10 minutes after we leave the house I get an alert. If something were to happen that time is critical and with technology today there really is no excuse for the delay.

TIMEXFamilyConnect takes forever to fetch location, if it even can. And isn’t very accurate.

The battery life is also bad. My son wears his watch to school in school mode and then the battery will be dead within an hour after he gets out of school. Unacceptable.

Overall, there is a lot to be improved on. The technology is out there and has been for years. These are peoples children, come on Timex, do better.

Always being able to check where your child is brings great peace of mind. Knowing that on their end they can contact you if they need too also is a great plus. Love this watch.

The watch can’t text to the primary acct holder. The watch can text to the 2 guardians I added but then the guardians can’t access their app to text back. Only good thing is phone calling seems to be working.
Update. After close to 1 year using the watch it still can not text back to the primary guardian! Very inconvenient.

Every once in a while the watch shows outside of the safe zones. Then I go into TIMEXFamilyConnect and it shows that Active Tracking is enabled. I have not pressed the button for Active Tracking.
This is definitely concerning as it gives me the impression as a parent that my kid is outside the safe zone.
This needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

I bought this watch for son when he started school. I often times get alerts after the fact, sometimes not at all. Then while he’s at school his watch shows him being across the street from his school. If it had better accuracy would’ve given it 5 stars

Love TIMEXFamilyConnect just wish it was compatible with my Apple Watch not just my iPhone

It’s a nice watch despite its low call volume and location is off here and there. It doesn’t always change location after picking my child up. I feel some what safe know I can track my child at the press of a button!

This Timex watch is the best thing we’ve ever purchased for our little one. We are now able to keep tabs on our little one: we’re able to call, send messages, get real time location, and so much more.

The watch battery last all day, and comes with a handy nightstand charger.

The timex app is very handy and allows you to control who and how your child can connect to the outside world.

I revised the review from a previous review due to a previous issue that Timex was able to resolve in a timely manner.

Overall, definitely recommend this product!

A real plus for a parent or grandparent. We do enjoy being able to keep track of the kids and communicate with them. We feel this watch and app really makes them safer and we love that.

Loving this so far. Definitely gives this mama peace of mind. Only thing I would change is to be able to manually draw the safe zone instead of having to have a radius from specific locations. Would love to see that update soon.

GPS is accurate. Call quality is good. Price for cellular gps service is reasonable. My son says it is comfortable on. I feel safe letting my son roam the neighborhood with this watch. I think the price for the watch itself is slightly high.

I panic every time TIMEXFamilyConnect notifies me that my child is at some random house miles from the school. After refreshing the location it shows her at the school again. Now it won’t update the location at all and shows the location as home even though the watch went to school.

The biggest complaint my wife and I have is the lack of an Apple Watch app. Always having to dig out our phones when we have the watch on is annoying.
