Can I seriously only see two months?

2022-11-27

Ok for real though, did I just completely waste an hour and a half logging all my seizures for the past YEAR in order to try and identify patterns, only to discover that you can only even look at three months? And really it’s more like only two months, since it shows the current month, the previous month and the next month (which hasn’t happened yet so obviously I wouldn’t have any seizures to record then!) So frustrating!!! What’s the use?! Oh and this is all AFTER I created a profile filled with personal info. I had high hopes for Epsy, especially since the reviews were good. But sadly, just a disappointing waste of time.

Just got worse

2022-12-28

I’ve used Epsy since early this year to obviously keep track of my medication as this USED TO BE the best app for that. Ever since the last update, Epsy only displays that it’s gathering information and will be ready soon. It never gathers the information though. So now am not getting notifications about taking my pills, but I cannot log when I take it either. Very disappointed in the developers for creating an update that essentially makes Epsy unusable. And for a side note, deleting Epsy and reinstalling, shutting off phone and powering it back on, hard resetting device, and a full restore of the device did not help. Across 3 phones Epsy just does not work. Get it together.

Buggy after early March 2022update

2023-01-29

The interface is great and very easy to use, but I’ve had nothing but problems after the update at the end of March. It’s sad that when I need to log my son’s seizures I’ve got a buggy app but my apps for things like music and games work fine. We’re very dependent on Epsy to share medication info with caregivers and symptoms with the neurologist so the frustration level can be high. When it comes to health-related apps I wish developers would remember there are real people on the other side who are depending on this information.

Stay away if you value your time.

2023-03-02

I’ll make this simple. First off you have to create an account before you can do anything. Secondly you are prompted to answer multiple questions for a profile and are nagged with an in app badge until certain ones are answered. What got me was the question on my next appointment. Since I don’t have one scheduled I couldn’t make that go away. Finally, and this is the biggie, there is an in-app badge nagging the user to read almost 60 built in articles with no option to mark them as read. I don’t have the time or patience to open them all up much less read them. They have a feedback option and technical support got my account deleted upon request. That is the only positive out of my experience.

Please fix all of the bugs!!!

2023-03-31

Epsy is a good alternative to logging everything by hand, but it’s extremely buggy and the user interface looks like it’s straight out of 2012. Please developers, update Epsy and fix all of the bugs. It runs extremely slow as well. All of the annoying articles cluttering up the UI is also quite annoying, and should just be under a single tab. Update: app is still abysmally slow and never getting updated. Really annoying that you can’t read your notes from the insights tab. The articles cluttering all of the useful information is so incredibly stupid when they could all be compiled to one tab. I wish the developers would put some work into this.

Great but missing a few critical features

2023-05-02

For what it is, this app is a well designed and highly functional app. There are two features that make it impossible for us to use. One is a way to log the length of a seizure. This is the single most important data point for tracking my daughter’s epilepsy. The other is custom attributes for seizure logging. For example, we must track what she was doing when she had a seizure (waking up, falling asleep, etc) and how her seizure presented (not just seizure type, but did it involve blinking? arm movement? head turning?). I would love to see the ability to customize the attributes to track. Unfortunately, until these features are available Epsy won’t work for us. But I hope there’s a time in the future that changes because it’s a wonderful app otherwise!

Thought the app was crashing from new notification sound

2023-06-02

I DONT WANT TO SWITCH APPS. I’ve been using Epsy for about 1yr, and in the past few days it switched from the common tri-tone notifications sound to a “pill box” sound. That’s the only option, and it’s VERY annoying to me. I thought Epsy was crashing or glitching. I might just switch to using the reminders app instead to get the right sound I want. But I use so many reminders, and with out this purple icon it might go unnoticed since they all look similar. PLEASE at least keep the tri-tone as an option as well as the new one, or make it so you can customize the sounds in your phone settings to anyone’s preference.

Okay So Far

2023-07-04

I haven’t used Epsy very long but I noticed there isn’t a way to track how long the seizure lasts. It gives you the option to track when it starts but not when it ends and for people who have seizure episodes that stop and start back up in the same time frame, it would be nice to have this option that way you can see how over time it trends on a graph. I would like to also see a video recording option so when you have your phone or other device around, you are able to instantly record the episodes and what they look like for doctors to be able to view and give insight. In addition, when you open Epsy , an automatic timer option should appear so those who need to keep track of how long a seizure has lasted can do so not only for themselves but especially if they are caring for a loved one or patient in addition to if any rescue medications were given and type, dose, etc. Other than this things, Epsy works well.

Loving it so far, just one suggestion!

2023-08-04

Great app with a LOT of functionality, I look forward to using it in my ongoing epilepsy care. I wish there were a way to add more than one type of seizure though! My neurologist has told me that what I call “auras” are actually a type of seizure. I definitely do not mind logging them as auras rather than seizures, but I would like the option to have both types of seizures in my profile.

All in all though, it seems to be a great app.

Love the app but wouldn’t mind a few tweaks.

2023-09-05

I really like using Epsy to track our daughters seizures.

A few things hope will be added to this. One is the ability to add videos of seizures so they can be easily seen by my daughters healthcare team.

The other would to have more nuances for the medication section and maybe a keto tracking section. :)

So helpful!!!

2023-10-07

I have epilepsy and another form of seizures and this app makes it some much better to track everything. I can track and log my seizures faster and more accurate with it and I can track my medicine. When I developed epilepsy, I had some memory issues and I can check to see if I took my medicine already or not. I already recommend Epsy to others.

So helpful!

2023-11-07

Just an amazing app! Love this for helping to track my seizure activity and triggers. It’s been so helpful to keep an eye on frequency and patterns that I hadn’t noticed before.

My only suggestion is adding custom triggers. I want to be able to add things that aren’t listed like “Over Exertion” or something. It would be so helpful as some of us have different triggers, limits, or just unusual lifestyles as we try to cope. Thanks!

NOT A SEIZURE DETECTION APP

2023-12-09

I am rating 5 stars because I do not want to negatively impact the ratings. This is a nice, well made, easy to use app, with good functioning for medication reminders, seizure logging, and helping to centralize and log your medical data.

However, I was searching for an actual seizure detection app for my Apple Watch, as I generally do not know if I have had a seizure unless it is witness or I have bitten my tongue. THIS IS NOT A SEIZURE DETECTION APP. Epsy DOES NOT DETECT CONVULSIVE EVENTS THROUGH AN APPLE WATCH. It would be nice if the developers were able to add this feature, as all the other options are expensive and hard to afford as a student.

I will likely keep Epsy and continue to use it as a medication reminder and MANUAL SEIZURE LOGGING app. Thanks

Fantastic App

2024-01-09

Epsy is a must for anyone with epilepsy. The multitude of features, and access to helpful and inspiring articles are just a few things I love. I’ve, from time to time, had issues remembering the set times I have for taking anti-seizure medication. However, I’ve not missed a single one in the past months and that’s undoubtedly a testament to Epsy and the people who brought it into being.

i can’t believe i wasn’t using this earlier

2024-02-10

I love Epsy so much. I have a lot of trouble remembering to log my seizures and i have to click like, 2 buttons to log a seizure on this, so i’ve been able to log almost all my seizures lately. also the medication reminder???? god tier. not to mention the doctor’s report so you can just print everything out and show your doctor your seizure chart

Great app, but would love a minor calendar change!

2024-03-13

Epsy has helped me check my progress so much, and makes it a lot easier to talk to my doctors!

One thing that would be slightly helpful is adding an icon for auras (similar to the seizure icons) to track on the calendar! It gets a bit tedious to try to find my auras if I’m discussing them and cannot just look at the full-view calendar.

Thank you so much for making such a great app!!!

Great for Functional Neurological Disorder Too

2024-04-12

I don’t have epilepsy but I’ve been having non epileptic seizures as part of my functional neurological disorder. This is a great app for keeping track of my seizures and other neurological symptoms. I am so glad I started using this and imported my data as I can see some trends which help me reduce my seizures per day. It’s also helping me get good information to bring to my neurologist so we can work on the treatment plan with a good knowledge of what’s going on in place.

Wonderful app!

2024-05-14

I love Epsy so much. It really helps me look at each week and month to see how my seizures are. For me personally, it’d really help if there was an option to say how bad the seizure was on a 1-10 scale and to be able to see the rating on each day in the calendar view so I don’t have to go into each log to see how it was. I don’t always have the same seizures every day. So the 3 intensity choices are not detail enough for me and I don’t always feel like writing everything out in every log. Other than that, absolutely amazing app and thank you so much to the creators!

New user

2024-06-14

I was just recently diagnosed. I learned of Epsy at about the same time. It has been crucial in helping me take my meds on time. Epsy is also teaching me a lot about my condition, things I didn’t know. The first day I used Epsy I read the article about Lil Wayne having epilepsy. I know it sounds corny but that info helped me feel a lil bit better about my situation with epilepsy. I’m usually not a review writer however I wanted to speak up about this app. It’s truly being relied upon right now in my life. This is the first time I have used an app that is tied to my health. this app has earned my trust & I appreciate Epsy & what it does. I also appreciate those who created this.

Fantastic App

2024-07-16

I had some problems with Epsy in the beginning. But the this app support is excellent. They quickly got down to it and solved the issue. Epsy reminds me to take my meds, and I can record auras and side effects to meds. I can also set up the amount of sleep I get through the clock on my phone.
Ive been looking more into Epsy and have found that I can log my activities like exercise, pain or illness, caffeine or food intake, among others. Gives me a sense of security that if I have a seizure, I can go back to see what I did that day that might’ve triggered the seizure. Epsy was very helpful at my last doctors appointment. All the information was there. And the reading material is helpful also. Enjoy the stories. Thanks this app!

Not suitable for all.

2024-11-17

Epsy is very similar to another one called SeizAlarm, which actually can alert you when you’re having a seizure. Epsy is no help to those of us that have nocturnal seizures.

not available to everyone

2024-11-17

can only use Epsy with an invite code

Amazing

2024-11-17

Epsy is amazing, not only does it help me and my wife keep track of my meds (plus reminder alerts), it allows me to notate and track my auras, side effects, seizures, and much more..
With my short term memory being shot, I can pull this up and show my neurologist the log every time we see him.. better than a calendar or a notepad..

Great App for Tracking Epileptic Events

2024-11-17

I have had seizures and auras my whole life. This all makes it a lot easier when you go to see your neurologist to let them see date and times and details around the events. Great tool.

Fantastic App!

2024-11-17

I love that Epsy allows me to track seizures, medications, auras, etc! It has given me some insight on how well my medications are working and what the triggers for my seizures are. Epsy is easy to use and the interface is visually appealing. Thank you for developing Epsy!

Very helpful!

2024-11-17

I like that I can log everything on here and have something to take to my neurologist instead of trying to remember.

Please!!

2024-11-17

When will this app be available on androids? I really hope it’s soon. I mentioned Epsy to my neurologist and she said she’ll mention it to her other patients.

Perfect app

2024-11-17

It helps me keep everything all together and reminds me to take my medicine

Best app on iOS for Seizure tracking

Nice!

Great App!!

2024-11-17

I love Epsy! I’m able to log moods, auras, and seizures throughout the day which will help my neurologist and I better understand my trends that cause auras and/or seizures. Using Epsy, I can also keep a record of my medications and have daily reminders when to take them which is especially helpful.
