Best water tracking app I’ve found

I’ve been looking for a good water tracking app for a while. I tried the ones that you have to keep things alive and while those were fun I also felt like it was to much pressure and I found myself cheating just to keep the creature alive (I know, ridiculous right?). Anyway, this one works perfect for me. It tracks everything without the pressure. I can set up the reminders as I need them. I also like that the water goal is customizable. Some other apps set the goal by your weight but that is not always how you should be determining how much water you should be drinking.

Older reviews said that if you paid for the premium that it does not work and sync to Apple Health or MyFitnessPal, but I have had zero issues. It has been awesome that it inputs it right in there for me! One less step for me to do since I would always forget to add that in MFP. Definitely worth the extra money for the reminders and for it to sync (and no ads).

I also like that it tracks other liquids as well. The one thing that I would like is to be able to add an other liquid container to my favorites. If I know everyday that I’m going to be drinking 8oz of milk or a protein shake I would like to just be able to quickly add that rather than add it manually. But I also realize the main point of this is to track water, so I won’t complain too much. Overall, this is a great app!

Great App

The layout is simple and it’s awesome to be able to preset liquid amounts I drink often (like seltzer cans or water bottle) so that they’re easy to click and add to my intake. I also like how the water in the bottle moves around if you tip your phone—though it sometimes glitches, which is fine since it’s inconsequential and a little funny.
It’s also thankfully very easy it is to go into your history and delete something if you mislog, and easy to view history in general. The daily goal setting is great too, and you get a little confetti celebration every time you reach it after missing for a day or more. The ads are minimal and always have an X (I don’t think there’s even a time limit, and if there is it’s less than 5 seconds). I probably only get one or two a day.
All in all, great app and completely worth downloading it.

Account lockout, no customer service

I love WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater. I have a few minor quibbles, but I've used it religiously for months, and filling that daily bottle had definite it helped make me drink more water.

But when I first paid for premium a couple years ago, I know I created an account. When I try logging into the account on my iPad,I get an error message saying it does not recognize my email and password. However if I signed out and logged back in on my iPhone, it worked.

I've written emails to the developers a few times, and they have never responded. And now, my phone had to be sent away for repair, I am currently using a loaner iPhone, and I can't login on this iPhone either. While my regular phone is away, I can't log/save my data on either my iPad not temporary iPhone, and I also still can't get a response from the people responsible for WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater . I may have to abandon it and simply cut my losses, which is very frustrating for an app than I have paid even a penny for.

Really love this app

My previous hydration app bit the dust, and so I went looking for a new one. Some charge subscriptions, which seems absurd. One I tried had quickly annoying sound effects that couldn’t be turned off. So far, this one is doing exactly what I need it to do. I really like being able to create custom containers, complete with pictures. It makes it extremely easy to update during the day. I paid the upgrade price to support the developer, even though I don’t need the extras. Keep up the good work!

Note: Previously I knocked off a star because I didn't think I could add to previous day's total (for example, when I'm up and hydrating around midnight), but it turns out I can! So bad on me, and good on WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater!

GREAT APP

I really like WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater for mulitple reasons. I am a water drinker, lets just put that out there now. I probably drank about 80 oz of water every day before WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater. Then I was just scrolling through health apps and I cane across this one. There were all the basic like oh "test your heart rate" "exercise log". None of those stood out to me. Then I was scrolling and I just stopped short when I saw this. One the main purpose of WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater is free. All the extra features are at a cost but you dont have to do a trial or anything. So I downloaded it and lets compare before WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater and after. Before I drank 80oz a day. Now I drink 140oz. WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater just motivates you to keep filling up your water bottle. Drink some water instead of juice. I absolutely love!

One Important Feature Missing

I have the paid version and will give a 5 star review with one change - allow us to add the default liquid for containers we add as favorites. For instance, I have my coffee mug added. This is always added at 12oz of water, when this is actually coffee. I got it to work once, but I have been unable to correct it. I only drink coffee out of my coffee mug, so whenever I select it - I want it to add coffee, not water. Please update as this is a simple fix, but would be a HUGE improvement. I didn’t realize I was tracking my water wrong until today and that is incredibly frustrating. I understand the default for WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater is water (as it is a water tracking app) but allowing us to set defaults for our own containers would be a great feature. Thanks!

A ‘Must Have’ for water tracking

I love WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater ! Like another user I’ve used quite a few water tracking apps, but this one was exactly what I wanted & needed. While dealing with a medical condition I had to be extremely aware of my water intake, and WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater helped tremendously . Now that I’m in recovery WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater is still something I use daily. I love the fact that you can track other liquids while also tracking your water intake. Plus having Fitbit integration helps me track my overall health and well-being . I do wish they would add some additional liquid options like almond milk and milk based coffee verses the standard water based coffee. But as it stands WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater is still amazing. I highly recommend it.

Frustrating! I really wanted this to work.

Well, I fell for the bait of paying to upgrade WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater because it said that would allow integration with MyFitnessPal, but it doesn’t work. If I wanted to enter the data there manually, I could have done this without WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater. I reported the problem... crickets! I replied to the email from the author and still deafening silence. I got on my laptop to go to their website and was told the support portal has been shut down. This is an amateur writing apps for his own enjoyment and profit without the slightest interest in service to customers. No, it’s not expensive so I’ll just chalk this one up to experience. The features that do work may be worth it if you don’t need something with all the bells and whistles of a professionally produced app. But seriously, do you not already know how to set up reminders on your phone to drink water?

Liking it so far...

I’ve been using the free version of WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater for about a week now and so far I think it’s a very helpful app for tracking water & other liquid intake. I like that WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater allows you to set reminders for when to drink water as well as the easily functionality of setting them for yourself. I also like how one can change the increments when logging in a liquid.

From what I’ve logged into WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater so far I’ve noticed that I’m not fully hydrated and that I tend to drink less water than I do other drinks (coffee, pop, energy drinks, etc). If I continue issuing WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater, I’m hoping I can regulate my intake of liquids and hopefully achieve a healthy water intake.

Simple and effective

I’ve used WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater for about a year and it’s been instrumental in maintaining my daily water intake goal. I appreciate that I can easily customize my drink containers, add custom amounts, set my goal and quickly log my intake. I like seeing the water bottle ‘fill’ up as I drink. The badge that shows my remaining intake needed is helpful. Sometimes I forget to log a drink and I wish there was an option to go back and modify a day. My app is located on my main screen in the dock so it’s highly visible every time I use my phone. This is an amazing tool to consider if you want a simple yet effective way to monitor your water intake.

Got bored quick

An interesting idea but at the end of the day it’s a chore having to enter your water consumption. I paid to enable the smart reminders but after a couple of days I found that feature irritating as I was constantly getting notifications whenever I fell behind so I disabled it. I’m already disciplined with water consumption and have a daily routine so the novelty of WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater soon wore off.

Trying to drink water is a good idea but I just worry people will soon get bored having to remember to enter every drink they’ve consumed throughout the day. I can’t see people pulling out their smartphones from their pockets every time they drink.

I’ve stopped using it, if you’re a first time user give it a go. You may like it. But it’s not for me.

Helpful app

As a chronically dehydrated person, I find it helpful to be able to see a log of fluid intake. I don’t use the bells and whistles so can’t comment. I also don’t use the reminder function because l generally avoid notifications. I do find being able to use pictures of the containers quite helpful.

The basic function of seeing how much fluid I I still need to consume to meet my daily goal fully meets my needs. I’ve been using it daily for 6 weeks now and am not bored of it yet. Probably because I actually do feel better when not dehydrated. So thank you to the developers for that.

Too many ads!

I stopped using WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater a couple of years ago and recently tried it again. I think I know why I stopped. The ads are terrible! They pop up almost every time you do anything, many are loud and not able to be muted, and then there are also banners that cover parts of the screen. Almost unusable!

WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater itself is good. I like being able to add my own containers since I have a few favorite glasses, mugs, etc. Also nice that it links to my Apple health app.

I recommend having banner ads at the bottom of the screen, as long as they do not have sound. Get rid of the obnoxious pop-ups! I am going to look at other water trackers to find one that isn’t full of click-bait!

Waste of money, trying a different app

The reminders don’t help much... they only pop after you’ve stopped updating WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater to signal you’re on track, and by then you’re far behind. The push notifications are worded the exact same way every time, and they’re kind of annoying, so after a couple days you can just ignore them easily.

I was hoping by connecting with the fitbit I would get notifications to my device, that’s not the case. There’s no point to connecting the fitbit except that the fitbit app gets to record your water intake information. I contacted customer service early on a month ago with a question about fitbit tracking, with no reply. Wasted my money and trying a different app.

I Am Successful!

I couldn’t imagine why it was worth spending $$ when there are so many free ways to track your water intake (including in my Fitbit app, where I log everything else) but I genuinely love WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater and I’m so glad I chose to upgrade. The “I Am Successful” button is the most obvious bonus — love this simple motivator — but I also love that I can set it up with my most often used bottle sizes and types, and that I can log all liquids consumed together with yet still distinct from my water intake. And then of course it feeds its info into my Fitbit app so that’s all still in one place. A good investment all around.

LOVE this app!

I have the free version of WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater. I’m really bad about remembering to drink water, so WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater has been very helpful. I love that it can connect with the health app and automatically enter how much water I drank that day. I’ve been using WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater for several months, but this past month I had to be admitted into the hospital. Upon discharge, I was taking several heavy-duty antibiotics, so it was vital that I drink at least 72 ounces of water every day. WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater was a huge help in keeping track of my water intake! I highly recommended WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater! It is so simple to use, yet highly customizable (even in the free version). 5 stars!

Pretty good, a few things that need to be fixed

App works as expected. You set a daily goal and log how much you're drinking, and it keeps track. I've been using it for awhile and I did love it, but there are some changes that I'd like to see. First, I wish they'd bring back the icon water level feature. It was nice to be able to see where I was by a glance. Second, they don't have many options. There's an option for "other" but it would be nice if I could input what that "other" is. Finally, I wish I could edit a previous log. There is no edit option, only enter and delete. I do like that it syncs with Apple Health so I don't have to worry about inputting it in there as well.

Good app

My water intake is very important to my health. Especially since my medication could cause a heat stroke. I could get over heated on a hot summer day easily if I don’t consume enough water.
WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater helps me be sure of my water intake. I love that you can record tea and other liquids as well. WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater figures the percentage of water for you. Then you know all your water intake at the end of each day.
I can go to the history when at my doctors appointments. To show them the amount of fluids and what kind of fluids I have consumed over time.
This is a great app. Thank you.

Doesn’t Sync to MFP

I purposefully bought the premium version of WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater so that it would sync my water consumption to MyFitnessPal and Apple Health app. It syncs to Apple Health fine, but not MFP. Overall, the water functionality is super easy, and I love the reminders to keep me at a healthy level of water consumption throughout the day, something I haven’t been very good at in the past, but you do t need the premium version for that, hence the 3 stars. I submitted feedback to WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater dev a couple of days ago, no response as of yet.

After reporting this issue, developer put n a fix and app now syncs to MFP! Yay, great app!

My favorite water app by far!

I downloaded a ton of water apps when I was pregnant and kept becoming dehydrated and ending up in the hospital. It really helped keep me on track, and kept me super hydrated! Even now, post baby, it is an excellent for helping me keep my water tracked in the scorching Arizona heat. I use it in conjunction with health apps as well to keep myself fit and healthy! Waterlogged truly is the best water app out there. I quickly deleted the rest that I’d downloaded because within a day I was able to tell that this is the top water app on iTunes! Good luck on your water logging journey!

Great App!

I really enjoy using waterlogged. This might sound funny, but now that I “know what I’m doing” I’m actually drinking a healthy amount of water. I would always dehydrate myself or just not drink enough, but now that I have something to keep track of it with I’ve felt a lot better. (bonus that it calculates everything for me) I actually measured the amount of mL our glasses at home hold with a measuring cup so I could track it correctly.😂😂 Thankyou for making WaterloggedDrinkMoreWater, it works well and the swishy bottle is a nice touch😂 I didn’t upgrade it or anything, but it works pretty great.
