Quality is ALL I wanted

I play Covet, Fashion Fantasy, etc. Any fashion game, is downloaded to my phone. This one looked promising. I already noticed that game features are limited, you can follow people but you can’t like their work or anything. So a following system is pointless right now. The same people (most likely the developers or people associated) are always in the top looks. You can’t find the clothes you bought unless you scroll forever or specifically type it in (no advanced search). Only thing I like is that the fashion is modeled after real brands and the voting system. I HAVE SUBMITTED 8 CHALLENGES OVER THE COURSE OF 2 DAYS, I opened and seen the ratings of 4 of my looks but I get NO EXP OR GAME CURRENCY FOR THE TIME THAT I TOOK TO PLAY THE GAME. I am scared to open the other 4 because I know it will say 0 XP and 0 D... I reached out to their support team and they said they would fix it but I wake today and still the same issue. It’s insulting that I haven’t even been compensated correctly after they realized the error. No updates or anything. Had to talk to someone else and they are still looking into it. I haven’t even put money into this game yet, thank God I didn’t.

UPDATE: My scoring issue has been fixed for the most part, just waiting on better gameplay.

There are issues that detract from enjoying this game.

When this game first came out, I was one of its biggest cheerleaders. I promoted it among my fashion gaming friends frequently. Sure, there were issues during soft launch, but what app doesn’t have initial bugs? The developers have sent surveys asking what would make the game better. Crashing, game lag, and lack of categorical organization were the biggest issues that I’ve yet to see addressed, and we’re nearly half a year into the game. Another big issue that I have is with community scoring. How is it that nearly every look I style only gets between 3.0 and 3.3 stars? Something about that is off, as it would be impossible for the community to hate EVERY SINGLE LOOK EVERY TIME. I frequently see the same players in Looks of the Day, and similar looks get scored significantly lower. What’s up with that?

Edit: changed my rating from 2 stars to 1. After getting yet another week of 3.3 to 3.7, I’ve decided I’m done with this game. Following the theme and creating strong looks just to get scored "getting there". No, I’m not getting there. Your scoring system is whack. Done wasting time for low scores for every single look. I would strongly advise against anyone thinking of downloading this game. My guess is the people who spend money are getting looks of the day.

Loved this game but…

I first started using this app a few months ago it took me a little bit understand how to play but I ended up loving it. The clothes are all real and in season from luxury designers so it feels you’re actually able to experience real couture looks. However the newest update made it basically so that you have to spend real world money to get certain things that used to be included unlimited in the game. The unlimited make up looks are now gone, and now you have to pay to buy new ones. Same with the unlimited backgrounds. Now you would have to buy the things like certain lip colors, eye shadows and backgrounds that were free. There’s no way to purchase them with in game money- I would have to actually use real money to buy them which is just unfair. I use this game as an escape to experience amazing fashion I could never afford in real life. Part of the appeal is that I’m not spending my own money- it makes me no longer want to play. Overall, love the diverse models, clothing styles and the escapism but certain choices from the developers are making it hard for me to able to keep playing.

Well started out a TOTALLY AWESOME FUN GAME NOW ITS UPTIGHT LAME AND NO LONGER FUN

Ya was fun started out with 8 boards 4 mood boards which were layout all these cool fun stickers was easy to make money design and create .But then they started “improving “ taking away “awards” given to loyal everyday players and making it harder to score well. My main “beef” with this game and it’s designers is the constant changing of scoring rewards systems and patronizing way they text you and act like they “care” but this seems empty as the game keeps changing for the worst . If you don’t mind the game you are playing constantly changing while they pander you with “ oh it’s a new game “ well it’s at least a year old if not more so get it together already. If you don’t mind constant glitches then by all means play . I will still play for now but once it’s all about $$$$ I’ll be OUT !!!! Anyways like I sad IT WAS A FUN GAME AND IT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED BUT ITS GLITCHY AND THE DESIGNERS ARE A BIT UNORGANIZED

More options to earn coins???

I usually live for styling games, but it comes to a stark drift away from fashion games when it starts to be greedy for real money. The daily giveaways are cool, but you don’t get that much, plus you need to check every day or you won’t receive your reward. I wanted this to be different from covet as on this game you have more freedom of choices & diverse looks(i.e) makeup hair race).

Rather you need money to pay whilst the only way to get money is doing days-long challenges that you might not even top due to other competitors, the top reward for the best score is something like 1000 coins?? You’d spend that in a second on just one clothing garment alone on Drest.

Spending real money is fine if you have the time & funds I’m pretty sure most people here are struggling especially due to the pandemic. Is there any other way to earn coins? Maybe like doing those annoying offers? It would still bring in revenue for your app. But can be very helpful to people who want to play but are broke. The game is great still.

As the game evolves, so does my review

I had previously given a one-star review based on game updates, but I appreciate the way the this app team continues to tool with the game in order to improve it. I love the addition of new models and locations, and the option to watch a video to earn additional this app dollars. I also love how often new wardrobe pieces are added, and how the challenges are tailored to the seasons.

My biggest frustration now is the “renew” feature on owned items. I already “paid” for these items, and now in order to use them I have to do so again? I’m confused as to how to acquire more of the gems which allow you to “renew” items without having to spend real-world money to purchase them. This is super frustrating because if there isn’t a way to earn gems without actually paying for them in the this app store, our “owned” items are now rendered inaccessible.

Additionally, it would be nice if there was a way to “zoom in” on completed looks, both our own and in the Look Rater. I never add rings to looks or certain earrings because they’re so small/delicate you can’t even really see them on the model, so I don’t bother to spend this app dollars on those items.

Lastly, despite keeping my app up to date, I have a problem with the game crashing whenever I click on my profile to view my completed looks.

Thanks, this app team, for your active engagement with users and continued efforts to listen to feedback and improve this rad game!

Great game, responsive developers

EDIT: This game is constantly evolving, but I truly appreciate how the developers seem to go out of their way to make it better. Their Support team is excellent. The technical bugs are being addressed, and it’s now gotten really, really fun and addictive to play! Download it!
ORIGINAL:
I love the way the challenges are broad enough to give you creative freedom, and the mood boards are fun to create. Also, you’re able to complete the challenges without spending an arm and a leg on in-game purchases. Once some small but annoying bugs are resolved this is definitely a 5-star game!
The issues:
About 25% of the time, I’m unable to submit the challenges, even though all requirements have been fulfilled. Sometimes if I close the game and restart it, I’m able to submit, but not always, which is frustrating since I’ve already spent the money on the items the challenges required.
It’s difficult to layer items. For instance, if I added a cardigan, but wanted a belt over it around the waist, the belt would be placed under the cardigan where you can’t see it. On the mood boards, whatever is placed first on the board will remain the bottom layer; in order to layer a new item under a previous one, you have to delete the previous item and re-add it.
The game crashes or freezes about once a week.
Obviously none of these issues are devastating, but they are inconvenient. To sum up: a 3-star game with 5-star potential!

The best fashion game there is, but I have one suggestion…

Ok, so I have played many of the fashion games on Drest Store and this is by far the best one. The clothing options are amazing and realistic and you don’t really have to spend actual money to be successful but can if you want to elevate your options a little. I look forward to playing it every day!

My one frustration is that you can’t sort the items you own into “worn” and “unworn” categories. So if you want to find an unworn item to use, you have to scroll through all of the clothing that you own, which is a huge hassle if you have been playing for a while and have acquired a decent number of items. If the developers could make it so you could sort this, it would be a perfect game!!

Otherwise, it is completely worth a download and you will probably be hooked if you like fashion games. Highly recommend!

Was a great game...Updated

I was just loving this game until I tried to play a game & had to pay $3.99 for a supermodel! I think that’s extremely unfair & I don’t mind paying for carats to get more hair but now I’m being force to buy this. I left covet fashion because everything became so unaffordable for just a game to practice my style & have fun with fashion, truly disappointed, don’t know if I will continue to play.

I kept the game because I love fashion, but I don’t play often only when I see a challenge I want to really play. They often have the same challenge over & over again so it gets boring & I want to save some money so I can get the good stuff when I do play. I wish I could change the hair when I change the hair accessories or hats as well, hopefully they will update that one day. Changing my rating to 4 because atleast they are fashion forward & less expensive than Covet fashion which I use to love.

I Really Wanted to Enjoy This Game

Don't waste your time on this poorly planned game. The interface is beautiful and the clothes are great, but the disorganization of the game construction makes it unplayable. Once an item is purchased you can wear it again, but there is no simple way to find it. You must remember the keywords you used to search for the item whenever you'd bought it. The requirements for each challenge are done as a list of key terms you can search, but not all of the items returned in that search qualify. There is a numeral at the top to signify if you have met the requirements (ex. 0/1 will change to 1/1 if you meet a single requirement); however that number will sometimes change even if that item does not fill the requirement. So you'll spend your in game dollars on something that cannot be submitted; not to mention that you planned the entire outfit around that piece, and now have to purchase a whole new ensemble. The game support emailed me back promptly, but would not acknowledge that this is whack and told me to have fun. I am not having fun. And I'm not longer playing your game.

Shape

Hi! I reviews you a fe days ago when I first started playing and I had only played one or two models I didn’t realize that you have different shaped people yet. That’s so unique bc most games just have perfect models. I do appreciate you responding, and so quickly too!
But what I meant by no shape is that especially the thinner models, they have no curve. Especially in the waist, so the outfits on them look really wide and kind of funny looking even though they’re thin. Just my perspective.
Also I noticed that there’s mo wardrobe section when playing a challenge, you can’t go to your closet to see what you already own, you just have to find it again. I think this game would be a million times better if it was easier to find what you already own.
Thank you guys so much, keep up the good work.

Love the game

Love the ideal of this game. I love the more mature fashion games. Too bad real designers wouldn’t come in here and view people’s ideas and styles and perhaps offer jobs to the different stylists that are just naturals. 😍🥰. That being said he here are a few glitches that I they need worked out like after I do a challenge it isn’t saving my looks and my fashions and it gets stuck occasionally for a second or 2. Work these out and expand some new ideas and the rating could go up greatly.

Updates

I played this game a long time ago and it was so glitchy I deleted it. I added it back on and overall the experience was much better, and for a time they really improved - easier to collect the photo hours and dollars etc, and they had limited edition locations and makeup that you could use without purchasing. I really enjoyed those extra features but they have since reverted to having to purchase them for the diamond thingies (and have some stuff if you get a particular score or higher)..so far I think the only way to get more of those is to pay money for them and that’s irritating, it would be better if at least they could be earned or added as a daily reward or something like that. (They do give some to start)

Great game but needs work!!

I’ve been playing this game for about a week now and I love it!! It’s probably the best dress up game app that I’ve found so far, but it definitely needs to be updated a little bit. I find it difficult to go through my owned items and find what I’m looking for, if there was a way it was more organized or an option to select the category I want (like shoes or dresses) of my owned items like I can do while shopping, I would love it even more! But every time I go to my owned items everything is all in one place and there’s no selection to sort it out into categories which is irritating a little bit.
Overall great game, just needs a few tweaks in my opinion!!

Good idea, not so great execution

I’m a covet fashion player, and I’m highly considering leaving covet altogether. I’ve been a loyal player for five years. I really like the overall idea of this app, and think it definitely has a lot of potential to better than covet fashion. The only reason I don’t play this app often, is how slow it is, items are very hard to find and match, and I don’t care for the look of the dolls. Some tweaking of dolls, hair and make up options, and maybe some hair accessories, and I think this game will really take off. I’ve been playing it on and off for the past year. I’m looking forward to seeing improvements in this game in the near future. I’m exited there’s another game that could potentially be as great as covet used to be. Looking forward to seeing more from this app!

The new update is immediately a no

Wow so the few items that were free to everyone that could maybe work for a few looks and help boost your score so you’re actually able to continue playing— was made to where you have to buy or win that as well. What the heck. They’re not even that cute and for people who don’t want to spend money on games that would make it way harder and less enjoyable to play. Maybe not everything that was infinite has to be but why take literally every single item away? Most of them aren’t even worth the purchase other than the backgrounds, which now all cost as well. 👎👎👎

update: just now noticed that my favorite background that also was free and probably wouldn’t be anymore if it were still there???? which it isn’t? the black and white statue thinfs? what??? why??? why

Good game. Just room for improvements.

It’s a good game. Just wish there were more challenges and mood boards. Also when look through the clothes there should be a filter so you can see all the denim items or all pink cropped tops. The search bar is there. But if you don’t know what to search then it’s useless. Another thing. Can we try more than one item on at a time. I don’t want to keep wasting my money on the game just to buy something I’m not going to wear. Also where do i find all the clothes that i already purchased. Or do i have to keep purchasing them each time i want to use them ? Please change that if that’s an issue.

By

Used to be better

When I started playing this game it was pretty fun. The longer I play, the worse game mechanics are getting. They are taking more things away from players forcing them to spend money to get what used to be free. For example, certain backgrounds were able to be used an infinite amount of times. Now they can be used 5 times until you unlock more uses. Also, I’m finding it is going so sloooow! Sometimes it doesn’t respond at all to finger taps. I hope that they can fix that and maybe dial back the greed and allow people to actually enjoy the game and let them make purchases on extra things they decide they want, not need.

By

Good but needs better layout/organization

Absolutely love the inclusivity and the models, as well as the wide range of clothing. Also, I like how the clothing purchasing system works. However, I think the biggest problem with the game is it’s organization and layout. The worst aspect of this is searching for clothes that you already own in the game . You can only see like three at a time on the screen, and the filtering system takes too long so it takes me forever to find a specific piece of clothing. Also, there is a lag every time you try something on so it makes it even more annoying.

By

Potential

I love the real models and that it doesn’t look fake or cartoony like most fashion games. My main issues were that its a little slow and the fact that some challenges ask you to wear a “gown” but you have to search for a dress that says “gown” but most others are gowns. I love the fact that the makeup is free, but dislike that there aren’t hair options. The only dark skinned model has no hair, my only issue with that. It would be cool if there were different hairstyles. Other than that the game has great potential!

By

Crashing issue

My looks that I create aren’t being saved when the game crashes. This is an annoying issue that’s needing fixed ASAP. Also the problem with not being able to submit a look. Very faulty processing. But the newest up to date fashions, no game has that right now, so I appreciate that.

By

Awesome concept with room to grow

Love the major brands, love the real models. The makeup customization is awesome and I’m curious to see how it’s developed.

Cons for me—
—Layout is a bit cumbersome and could use refinements (Covet Fashion has a fairly useful and streamline interface that I like just as an example).

**A major difficulty is actually finding the pieces that fit the requirements, I would like to be able to sort items by requirement so that I don’t have to try on every piece to get a 5 star rating.**

—Hair selections so far are very limited, not sure if I get more when I level or if they haven’t been added to the game yet

By

3/5

it’s pretty fun, and i like how there are real brands in the game, but it lags a lot. when you put clothes on some of the plus sized models, the clothes look warped & weird. it’s kind of hard to figure out and i’m not really a fan of the layout. and i wish there were more models to choose from/you could make your own from scratch.

Loved it

Very slick app, lots of fun, would highly recommend

Waitlist...?

I was looking forward to downloading Drest and start styling. However, then they prompted me with joining a waitlist for Drest ... after I saw it being advised? No thanks. I’ll delete it.

Add males

You guys should add a male figurine and include hype brands like supreme and bape and Vlone

Let’s make it work , still trying to figure it out

This game is a fresh hair and also a good move since I’m a Fashion Games Addicted , I play most of the Fashion Game, I love that we can create looks but I don’t really understand the concept of doing it , the redeem code process isn’t working right now, something to fix ASAP, we should be able to add friends in the game and visit and borrow at least 2 items from their closets
So for now I’ll give a 3 stars and will wait to see how it goes

Better than the competing * cough cough* Covet

I’ve been playing for a few days and have been really enjoying myself. It really is a delightful game, and has a fresh approach for actual fashion lovers, but my main issues are the lack of hairstyles, complicated in app formatting and maybe a bit more designers could be added:
Plus I love the body/age positivity with the stock models, but maybe there can be a “create your own model” option for height, facial structure, eye color etc.
