I hate that you have to ‘send order’ sooo much. And there is no more button at your seat to request help if they forget to bring your silverware. First time back to the movies and its such a hassle its not worth it.

I love this place but it doesn’t seem like you can order food online. Their website says to download SMGTheaters to order food for takeout. When I entered my two closest locations in the filters (Simi Valley & Glendale) SMGTheaters says ‘No Locations Found, Try changing your filters)’. This makes it impossible to order since it can’t even find its own locations. Every time I call their number they never pick up so I’m at a loss. I love SMG and their food but I’m giving it a one star so that maybe they will improve ordering takeout.

SMGTheaters is great at making general purchases simple but anything other than that, no help really How do I request a refund? SMGTheaters definitely is simple, and not in a great way. I purchased the wrong day and want to change dates. Also, at the checkout page it would be helpful to have the date and time of the tickets appear when the final button to purchase is present. Also how do the points work? Any feedback or a Refund would be appreciated.

If you push the button now they want charge you an additional 18% service charge even for water. I was told I could use SMGTheaters … but it will take longer . That is just horrible customer service

Menu online says order through SMGTheaters but after going through the hassle of downloading, registering, and surrendering your personal information, you realize there is no way to order food through SMGTheaters . SMG personnel confirmed this. Two star app at best.

I loved SMGTheaters so much! I have the directors pass and visit SMG at least once a week. I love ordering through my phone because it’s less interaction with staff and with my anxiety that’s a big deal, and also because it adds it to my bill automatically and I don’t have to have a second charge to my card. Now that feature is gone! And anytime I order from the staff I never get my reward points. It’s a flawed system and for the prices of everything you’d expect the experience to be smoother.

I tried to book some seats earlier, and order food. But the timer ran out, so I lost the seats AND my order. The seats were now “sold”, more likely disabled choices for me. So I had to start all over. Less than 10 mins to book your tickets and figure out what to eat and enter your credit card info is just not enough time. Not only that, you get charged a convenience fee, which I guess is standard. On top of that there’s tip if you’re getting food (you tip ahead of time, BEFORE you get their service!). I’m paying over 60$ now for just 2 people. It’s a lot of money, SMGTheaters could at least be as convenient as their “convenience” fee suggests. My low rating is strictly for SMGTheaters experience. It works fine UI is good, but their experience needs work, see the title I used.

SMGTheaters is convenient for ticket purchase only. Can’t order food. The older version you could order food but didn’t communicate your order to movie theater.

We are going this Saturday for the special needs showing, and I want to preview the menu at home before we go. The problem is that there’s no way to just look at the menu without going through the ordering process and selecting your seats— and they don’t sell tickets for the SN showing online.
For that matter, even if we were buying tickets to a regular showing, I would probably want to see the menu first before ordering tickets.
We’ve been coming to SMG regularly for years, but this is our first time since covid, and we have no idea if the menu has changed or if we’ll be able to order our old favorites.
It would be nice to be able to see the menu without having to go through the whole order process.

Every time I need to reference my tickets I spend way too long looking for where they’re located in SMGTheaters . It’d be great if there was an easy access popup in SMGTheaters to bring up tickets around the time of the movie showing or a button to see them.

I became a director level member for the perks and really everything has been going well. I can only say that gaining points and being able to redeem is a hassle where you have to contact corporate and that if they even respond back. I sent them a message asking them how I can redeem my points three weeks ago and I have not heard from them at all. I spoke with a manger at an SMG location and she said she doesn't even know how to redeem the points. It feels like they don’t train there employees in ALL aspects of the services rendered by the company. I still wish this part would be a lot easier.

Service could be improved. Some servers have wonderful attitudes and get orders correct the first time. Other servers have nonchalant attitudes and mess up orders causing frustration. Seats at North Point are awesome! The SMG app is awesome but there are no specials offered on SMGTheaters .

I hope you add the option to order food from SMGTheaters. The servers are great, but it gets busy at the very beginning and if some people ordered on SMGTheaters it would alleviate that issue.

It’s always clean and peaceful and food fresh for the most part. My fav is the wings super fresh … they could do better with no charging for celery and carrots lol I thought it always came with wings where ever you go. But hey it’s still a cool place to watch a good flick :-)

The ability to order tickets in SMGTheaters great. Reserve the seats you want way in advance!
Ordering food and drink is also easy, they just show up after trailers and interrupt the movie watching experience.

Created an account on SMGTheaters . Now I can’t log into the actual website.... in addition I cannot create a new account since my phone number is now in use..... I realized after SMGTheaters is just for Plano at the moment. Absolutely horrible

SMGTheaters has a lot of potential, but I think is being under utilized. As I am writing this review, you cannot order food from SMGTheaters . This could be a really cool feature for guests to be able to order whatever they want straight from SMGTheaters and have it brought to their seat soon after. They could pay from SMGTheaters and be able to tip right after the movie. From a business perspective, this would reduce the need for servers which would reduce costs and it would improve the speed and accuracy of ordering as guests would handle it themselves. Features like requesting a refill and Apple Pay would also be awesome features that could take SMGTheaters and business to the next level. This is something that the competition doesn’t have and servers wouldn’t have to ninja crawl to me during a movie to find out what I want after I push the service button.

My previous SMG account stopped working after they introduced Access, which, ok fine, I can understand that I guess. But Access won’t let me create an account unless I fork over my phone number, with no indication why they need it or what it would be used for. I stopped midway through the account creation process and deleted SMGTheaters - I’m tired of apps being grabby with personal info with zero explanation.

Just left the new theater in Glendale. Beautiful restaurant, bar and theater. Never seen chairs like that- actually have heaters (for my wife) and place to charge my phone (happen to have my cord with me tonight). Food was amazing- try the coconut chicken/shrimp fingers and the nuggets with Nutella for dessert.

They also have their own blend of patron tequila.

My new fav. place to see a movie and eat dinner!

Checked in yesterday for Zombieland. Wowoww. Heated seats?! Why has it taken this long for a theatre to clue on to this gem.
