Whether it’s from my files, my photos, any random app sharing to this app, on my iPad it will take hours to upload a single file, if it ever does. I’ve had the this app app for months and have tried repeatedly to upload ANYTHING. this app works fine on my computer on the same wifi; there’s something really wrong with Icedrive .

Also: all of my uploads from my computer have the wrong metadata. The date that files were created have been replaced with whatever date I upload them from my computer to this app. This is bad for photos when I want to know when it was taken.

It’s crashing after the last update. I turned on the automatic upload too. Don’t know which one is causing the issue. Fix it.

Good luck getting support on this service. Icedrive shows data that is substantially greater than your actual data sizes, syncing fails to work consistently and when you submit tickets for support there is no response. Tried submitting ticket to sales and they suggested that they would delete your data simply for asking about technical support.

I paid for a monthly subscription so I could get encryption access. Tried toggling the access and said I needed a subscription, even though I had a current subscription. I even deleted and reinstalled with no luck. Many 1 star reviews and now I see why. Ice cloud might be good on a desktop machine but Icedrive is 0 stars.

I only use his app for one thing: listening to audio and video on my iPhone.

As soon as I lock the screen, all audio stops. This means I cannot walk or exercise without holding the phone unlocked and killing the battery.

If you add this feature, I will increase this review to 5 stars. Please, please implement.

This thing can’t even organize by date properly. Even with the setting turned on, I will upload something, and when I refresh it, everything becomes disorganized, it’s random every time.
Another gripe is, the setting menu at the bottom became white and you can barely see the settings after the last update.
Also, there’s barely any updates to Icedrive, if anyone is reading this, please, go somewhere else, this ain’t it. Poorly managed app, almost no updates on their website or on Icedrive , poor execution, and customer service is almost nonexistent. I wanted to like it and gave it a shot, but I can’t, just don’t bother with the headache. Try Filen or something else.

I just started using this app recently. Unfortunately I’m experiencing a bug where all my videos keep trying to upload every time I open Icedrive . It’s quite annoying. Also, please add the option to sort files in Icedrive by date or size or type.

I purchased a one year plan about a month ago, and have been using this app to sync and store my files across iOS and Windows 10. I really wanted to like this service due to the privacy features and competitive price point. Unfortunately, I will be looking for other solutions because at this point in time this app is too buggy and unreliable for my needs. I frequently have issues getting the sync feature to work (There are constantly errors when uploading files) and this has caused me to lose hours of work and important notes. Changes to files are not always reflected in the cloud and when they are, they are very slow to appear. I’ve also been unable to upload my camera roll, as Icedrive is buggy and seems to not be able to handle uploading all of my photos at once. If you rely on cloud services for day to day work look elsewhere for the time being.

Icedrive is much better after this update however still many bugs. The auto upload was fixed but if it’s interrupted during the upload then it won’t upload the photos again, tried turning on and off several times, restarting Icedrive but doesn’t work. Need fix.

Compared to android Icedrive appears to be missing features. One of which is the ability to set a passcode on Icedrive to open it. Also even though the latest update says it supports 2fa, I do not see that option in the settings as I do with android. Finally a
limitation of both iOS and android is neither app can preview images uncompressed. They can only be viewed uncompressed in the browser, which can be done even on a mobile browser so why can’t it be done in Icedrive as well? Still has a lot of potential and I do enjoy the competitively priced, privacy focused service that they offer compared to the competition. These are just growing pains that I hope will be resolved in the future.

I bought life time storage. Got for competitive price. Encryption is the grate feature and drive mounting is awesome. The UI needs to improve a lot. I know this app is fairly new in the game. Hope they will improve the UI on PC and mobile App soon and add new features like google drive. LOL, i recommend to my friends as well to try it.

I took a chance and I really like this cloud service. Zero-Knowledge Encryption is what separates this company from the well known cloud services like DropBox, OneDrive, etc...all of those companies are known for some known negative privacy issues and having trackers on their apps. So, thank you, this app!!
I’d REALLY like a multi account option, as I’d like to use a personal account separate from my business account since I use this for work related docs. I’d hate to have to get a second phone just to upload my personal photo album or have to constantly sign in and out. A MacOS app is desperately needed but I see it’s coming, looking forward to that! Also, and this would just be a plus, but I dark mode icon, I like the logo but my phone is already heavily populated by white apps, my eyes would appreciate it! Otherwise, I’ve had zero problems!!

this app itself is a lifesaver, and Icedrive is the cherry on the cake! It’s so nice to be able to seamlessly transfer files from my computer to my phone and vice versa. 100% recommend!

This service is secure, private, convenient, and affordable. When you think about it, it’s kind of creepy google can see all the documents you upload to drive and the photos you upload to their “free” photo storage (now ending since they have enough data for their secret AI research projects).

I purchased a lifetime plan yesterday. The problem I’m having is with the “more” tab on the toolbar. Specifically, when I click on “help” or “support center, “ those pages do not load, and that is a problem for this new user. Hopefully, this app is aware of and working to fix this bug. I am running IOS 15.1 on a 13 Pro phone.

The prices are amazing keeping in mind the fact it encrypts your data, however it needs some work in the automatic upload of the pictures and videos as well as previews. I really hope they can fix those things because once the bugs are fixed they will be great!
