Bad solution for business

If you are a company looking for the travel agency to deal with your business trips and pther travel matters - AVOID TRAVELPERK AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Instead of booking hotels dorectly, they do it vis expedia etc. Each time business trips are booked with them there are issues with payments or support in challenging events (cancelled flights etc. - only 1 put of 3 or more support agents offered alternatives, the rest did not bother in doing it). They entrust you with their payment cards which shall be showed at the hotel and those cards are constantly rejected. People on business trips shall use their personal payment cards and the amounts to pay might not be something you'd have in your account. When the support tries to 'resolve' it with the hotel's reception by sending 'new' virtual credit cards, the hotel shows the proof that their 'new' cards is the same which was rejected during the first attempt.

DO NOT USE!! THIS COMPANY OS A SCAM!!!!!!!

Please beware that this company and app is a proper scam. Whatever you do DON’T book travel through them. The customer service is absolutely USELESS, they overcharge for accommodations, don’t book directly or control the booking process so adjustments to travel are not possible, unable to use loyalty point programs with their bookings. Please save the $$ and frustration and use ANY other method of travel booking/management than this one. Don’t say you weren’t warned….

Mission Impossible

I use Divvy charge cards for business expenses. They had a link to this Travel this app so I opened it. There’s no way to login to it. Perk won’t allow me to use my business email, google business email, or SSO. All attempts state I don’t have an account.
But I want an account which is the reason I downloaded Perk and attempting a login. There’s no sign up link.
Confusing.
Cumbersome.
Secretive.

Clumsy and loses your reward points

Having to bounce back and forth between the airline/hotel and TravelPerk for communication is cumbersome at best, and sometimes impossible. This system is absolutely worthless for any last minute travel plans (within 5 days). Most of the time I can find the same flights and hotel stays for a few dollars cheaper direct through the hotel or airline. To top of off, most company’s that use a rewards system do not honor stays or flights booked with a 3rd party like this, regardless of what TravelPerk says. Yes you can enter your reward account information, but the hotels and airlines won’t honor it.

Terrible and worse

The booking time takes too long, making and change is nearly impossible, service response is slow and lacks knowledgeable and they book via another platform. There is literally no part of this experience that has been good as I am a seasoned business traveler over the last 20years and it is the worst service I have ever encountered.

Seat selection is arbitrary

Booked good seats on a multi-leg international flight and when it comes time to check in, my seats are reassigned to the very back of the plane. Why even bother offering to let me pick seats and pay a premium for them upfront if it doesn’t matter?

Frustrating communication with customer service. Spent upwards of 1 hour on live chat and another 45 minutes on the phone without a resolution.

Waste of time and money

Never use Perk. They don’t book the flights directly. They use a service. This means you cannot make any changes yourself, and in an emergency, if the TP team can’t help you, you’re stuck. I’ve been trying for almost two hours to make the most simple flight change possible. I could have done this myself in 4 minutes too. In the time I’ve been waiting, the flight change cost went up $88–plus I wasted hours of time. One and done. Never again.

Buggy

They never add tsa pre to my ticket and has caused me to miss flights. I find cheaper flights direct and then when I go to get my car or hotel they often don’t even have be booked and then I have to prove to them I had a booking . I can’t pick my
Seat upgrades on their site either so after booking I have to go to United website to get my better seats. Perk is a buggy layer of extra steps to make my life harder.

Beyond Awful

This is without a doubt the worst travel booking service I have ever used. They charge extra to guarantee that they can provide you worse service than booking with the airline directly. Need to change a flight? You know, within policy? Can they do it?? They can pretty much guarantee they will fail to do it on time and you’ll be left taking the wrong flight and paying extra for the privilege. this app goes above and beyond to get ensure they will lose your business.

Terrible

Trying to book flights with my kids they tell me I have to use concierge. In order to use that service you have to pay 100 bucks a month. I do so and they then tell me they can’t manually put my kids as travelers until I use the booking service 5 times.

So now I’m done with this service and I can’t just un do my plan on the computer I have to email these people to do so.

What a joke! Do not use these jokers.

Expensive

My company insists on using them to book all travel arrangements. However, when booking my delta flight it was $100 cheaper when you book directly with Delta and they charged me $457 for 2night stay at a Hyatt hotel when booked directly with Hyatt it was $357. I asked the agent what’s the difference between you and direct and they said market price went up, when I’m still look at the same prices for a month lol. I think they are scamming company’s out of percentage or extra money that goes unnoticed by the employee going on the trip. As a business owner myself, I was not going to take advantage of another company’s time and money.

Ugh

Definitely not a travel management company that considers soft dollar cost around time spent booking and processing T&E expenses:
1. You must pre-pay hotels and if your travel plans change, it is significant amount of time and energy to try to get them to refund an early check out.
2. Do not work with event organizers so they don’t have access to negotiated hotel discounts. Rates are coming in three to $400 higher per day through TravelPerk.
3. When you book a flight, it doesn’t actually book at that instant. Travel fruit goes in and then tries to get the flight after you’ve made a reservation. Sometimes confirmation can take up to an hour. I had a recent situation where the flight that I reserved was no longer available when I went to book it. Which then caused me to book a more expensive flight each way that did not fit my schedule.

Summary: they need to spend some time and energy integrating into the suppliers websites to make this seamless and painless. If I was a company that charged for billable hours, I would be absolutely right at the amount of time. My employees would’ve been trying to book travel. Ridiculous.

I used to use Concur for business travel in the past and it was the worst. Rates were always higher than what I could find on my own, and it was horrible to use.

Perk is so easy to use. Chat response is always quick and easy. Rates are always reasonable.

Best Business Travel App

My company’s been using TravelPerk since our business travel has picked back up and it’s made our processes SO easy. Love being able to book my trip on my own, but have the peace of mind of knowing I won’t be violating any company policies. A must have for all companies who travel.

Always getting better and better

Great job making Perk better and better every year. A good partner while traveling for business. We used to self book but now we have all in one place with a customer care team that takes care of us all.

Cost effective, easy to use, great customer support

We all love the platform. Super simply and easy to use. Customer service and concierge are amazing and they are honest about their fees, which are minimal, unlike TripActions. A huge of my day used to be spent dealing with travel arrangements for my colleagues, and now I barely spend any time having to do so. Love it!

Trips tab is amazing!

Having one place with all the details of my work trips that ALSO lets me make modifications is brilliant. Easy to use, and the chat box feature is on point!

On my last trip, I got stuck in a client meeting that ran long and I knew I was going to miss my flight. While I was still in the meeting I chatted with Vanessa in CC and she rebooked me on a later flight in less than 15 minutes! Thank you 💯
