I was a customer for 2 years and in the beginning the service was working as expected. However, over the last 6-9 months things have gotten progressively worse.
Account limits silently changed, resulting in payments into the account failing without ever letting customers know.
The app became slower and slower, at times not working at all. Even trying to get statements stopped working to the point where I'd need to contact customer support only to receive an answer 3 days later.
At the same time, transfers to non-MoneyJar accounts that were once almost instant, would start taking days to go through.
The worst came when my card was going to expire and MoneyJar ensured they'd send a new card in time. However, two weeks out I got in touch to say the card hadn't arrived yet, only to have customer service say to be patient it will arrive. It never did, and to top it off my account was locked for outgoing transfers as well. It had been locked for 14 days before customer service allowed me to access my money again.. and yet still no card. They stated they "couldn't provide tracking details" or provide details as to why my account was not able to make outgoing transfers.
In those 14 days I had 0 access to any money, all my payments failed and I couldn't pay rent. Customer service representatives repeated the same "we're looking into the matter, sorry for the inconvenience" as if they were AI bots. Absolutely despicable behaviour. As soon as my account was unlocked I moved all my money to a new bank and closed my MoneyJar. Worst and most stressful experience I've had.
Wouldn't recommend it for anyone - avoid at all costs.
