Hate the ads

Someone else said it in the reviews already so I know it has to be the this app app system that is messed up or the devices are not operating after new updates went out on the phone. Our power shut off in the whole area and when it came back on my hub was having nothing but problems. The hub connects and disconnects all day long and night long. I’ve tried resetting, logging out, deleting YoLink and reloading, and the problem continues. I’ve tried to get help from this app but I haven’t got any responses yet. Also all my other devices are going haywire too and I’m getting sent false reports or they are lagging for hours or days when I get the alert. Something is definitely wrong now with the this app app or system, but I would stay away from it until they are able to address these problems if they even try to address the problems. But this system is definitely not worth putting money into or subscribing for a monthly service fee if this app can not come up with a fix it solution. Also customer service needs some help as well. This is the first time that I’ve had to contact this app and ask for help, and so far I haven’t received any call backs or any email responses from them. Right now I would rate this app a Zero star . I rated this app a five star before and I really loved using this system. But with this app’s crappy customer service and all their devices are starting to malfunction , it’s not looking good for this company and product.

How about arm or disarm? How about on or off? Out of range of hub sensor control is gone between your phone and the sensor running the alarm under your hood 2 feet from your phone and 1 foot from the sensor 1 foot from the alarm on the road so it goes off while driving down the road and there is no shutting the alarm off from your phone while it’s blaring even when the sensor is on 0 vibration so the separate alarm still goes off being signaled by the sensor 10 feet away from the hub or 10 miles from the hub.

I’ve been a loyal user of this app products and have over 30 devices in use, but my most recent experience has changed that. The Water Leak Sensor 2 with the Water Sensor Probe does not work, despite the sales and marketing claims on their website. It’s been over a month since I purchased the device and I still haven’t been able to get a straight answer on what the problem is and how it will get resolved. I’ve been told it was a faulty device, and then was told it needed a firmware update. I was then told the hardware was fine but that it would work in the most recent update to YoLink . I updated YoLink yesterday with great hope it would function, but it was not addressed or solved. I now have a bricked device that doesn’t function and a flooded basement and sump. To make matters even worse, I get daily marketing emails advertising the WLS2 with the Water Sensor Probe which is infuriating. Come on, this app… you had a great product and great service. What’s happening there????

I’m not sure if it’s an iOS 15 update issue, I have 4 window/door sensors and the hub. Our internet went down, and when it came back on, YoLink is no longer functioning. There app says “ Connection failed, Retry please!
Error” lConnection Failed, Failed, check your
network please.” With a reload button. Reloaded. Disconnected hub, nothing! I still get app notification for ONE sensor, but when I touch that notification to get into YoLink , “connection failed”. I have it 1 stars because it did work, and still works with one window. I just need it to work how it did. I will put it at 4-5 when it starts working.

It gets the job done if setting up the sensors and alerts, but YoLink needs some attention. 1)Where’s dark mode? This is 2025. Opening up YoLink at night in response to an alert just blinds you. 2)improved contrast. 3)open up a local hub API in case the internet is down. 4) local home assistant integration, again in case the “cloud” is unavailable. 5) again dark mode

Irks ok, but pls give us an auto dark mode for nighttime viewing.

I currently own 14 this app devices such as temperature sensors, water sensors, plug switches and considering there thermostat and dead bolts. All of the devices work great and are very reliable. The issue I have is the lack of flexibility in YoLink scheduling. I wish they would add functionality such as sunset, sunrise, months, days of the month so I could schedule the power switch to power on or off such as: Every June 1st and 15th, the 1st of each month, based on the sunset or sunrise , etc. Currently the options are very limited.

As another reviewer said, the interface for adjusting the settings for temperature alerts is very bad. It is a single slider that handles both minimum and maximum temp settings, and because the range is so wide, moving it one pixel changes it by roughly 0.2 to 0.3 degrees Fahrenheit. This means you have to be very precise with your movements when configuring it. This alone makes for a bad experience, but what makes it worse is that the slider always jumps slightly whenever you remove your finger, so it never lands on the temp you intended to set. And the amount of jump varies wildly on every attempt, anywhere from 0.5 to 2 degrees off, so you end up trying five or six times to get it right before settling on “close enough”. If they changed this to a simple number scroll wheel interface like most other apps use, YoLink would be vastly better. Other than that, it works well for my purposes.

I have several Ring cameras and doorbells and was going to purchase their version of the mailbox sensor since I have YoLink -however after researching I found the distance was not compatible. I researched this app and watched the video and was impressed with the distance and accuracy of the product, so impressed i purchased one for my son as well. Since i have the hub for other devices i felt it was a good purchase.
All was working fine then for no reason the device went offline! We changed the batteries that came with the device, unplugged the hub for 30 seconds and reconnected it. Worked fine then 💨 poof offline again. We even installed another router which sits two inches from the hub by a window which is a straight angle to the mailbox! I am looking for suggestions as to solving this problem

I’ve had this for 9 months now and things were going well. It has saved me with identifying issues with our furnace. However, lately YoLink has been notifying me frequently that the hub is “offline”. If I unplug the power cord from the hub and plug it back in, it says it’s online again. Hours later I get the same notification. According to my internet provider app and the device manager within in, there are no issues with my modem or WiFi, and all of my other devices are connected but my this app hub is the only device that is disconnected… so I believe it’s a bug with the hub or YoLink . PLEASE FIX THIS

I purchased the base unit, an outdoor sensor, and two outdoor door sensors. Initially I was very impressed, I tested the sensors and received proper notifications on my base unit. However the base unit became glitchy, it would alert but would not state which sensor went off. It still is the same, I receive an alarm but no indication of which sensor has gone off. It can further be improved if they allow you to change the tone on your phone so that it is different than other apps. I am not able to differentiate between my text messages or this app.

I really like the system and am using the hun and 5 temp/humidity sensors to monitor freezer. The only complaint I have is that I can’t type in the alarm set points. I have to use the slider bar and it’s so touchy it’s very hard to set and exact temperature with my big fingers. If y’all could change that or make it an option that would be great!

This is a good app. Does what its supposed to. 2 improvements needed 1. Able to change from the diff shades of green to better color. E.g. sensors that are loud should have blue or purple speaker icon on them if you mix n march the sensors 2. Able to take pictures for each sensor location or room or area for ease in finding them 3. Never received single text message. App push and email works but if it’s middle of night I need calls if sensor has no speaker 4. Ability to ack alarm and shut it off via the phone

Just started using this for temperature monitoring, adding the system was very easy, much easier than other systems I’ve had to add into apps.

Some suggestions:
Exporting reports needs to be improved, right now it’s only a csv file that uses the ID of the unit, not the custom name, it’s only Celsius and at hour increments. I hope they can either implement more options or at least a chart option and an easier way to identify the unit. Being able to export as a txt or pdf would be great.

Excellent hardware, very easy setup. App is straightforward enough. The stuff does its job. Two improvement suggestions: 1—as others have said, please allow configuration of all sounds. I want to make all this app sounds NOT be the standard Apple “boo-da-vino” text alert sound, and I want to make some this app sounds different from others (garage door left open vs. water leak detected, etc.). And 2—enable CarPlay. It would be nice to be able to manage garage doors at the very least from in-car. Also if I’m on the road somewhere and a water leak happens, it would be nice to hear that immediately in-car so I could pull over and call a neighbor, or turn around and go home, etc.

This product is a leap and bound ahead of any other product available and it’s super simple! I have tried many and I own a very busy business that deals with a highly sensitive and needed security set up. This system is the best back up to my top tier system and I set it up in 24 hours with my phone and my self and that’s it!

Once cameras are integrated to this system it will put pros out of business!

I’m not sure what happened with this latest update, but the hub is now no longer connecting to the wifi. Please fix soon

The products I have no issue with and they all seem to work really well. Very happy with that aspect. YoLink needs some tweaks and would be perfect. First there is no integration with the shortcuts app on the iPhone. If it did then I could say Siri open the garage door, and have a shortcut on my watch and phone to do the same. Also I cannot for the life of me get the scene to work at all. It seems like you set up the device and you pick a alarm strategy and that’s it it stays to that . If you make the automation change it to another scene or you yourself set the scene as a favorite and click on it. Doesn’t work and it makes the device stay at the default alarm strategy/scene that you selected when you set it up. Other then that I think it works great. Ability to change the alert tone would be nice so you could make it different for everything else.

This is really one of the best home automation systems out there. Excellent connectivity and quality of design and programming.

YoLink is getting low reviews due to initial iOS compatibility which is fixed so they should be revised.

One update the developers need is the ability to edit and sort existing smart automation behaviors. Please update this guys.
