Wasted an hour trying to get DexterPay to work only had 3.75 in cash so my jackets were already washing and couldn’t step out to go get cash to wash the rest of my clothes

I’ve been going to the same laundromat for quite a while and about a year ago they got new machines with Dexter Pay, but I still continued to pay with pockets full of quarters. This morning, on a whim, I decided to download DexterPay and give it a try. Bad decision. I spent $13, paid through apple pay and about an hour later I get a notification that they’ve taken $25 out of my account. Logged into my bank account and sure enough, there’s a $25 pending transaction from this app. Now I’ll have to dispute the transaction, which will take weeks. My question is, how many people does it overcharge that never notice or check their account? Never again.

Went to do laundry for the first time using this and it charged me $3 for the laundry on Apple Pay, and then a couples seconds later charged me $20 for no reason. Never using again.

I paid $25 to do 2 loads I had to pay $50 in total because apparently the $25 I had wasn’t enough for 2 loads that cost $7 a piece so I had to pay $25 more just to dry $5 worth of clothes supper buggy

When DexterPay works it’s great but I’m forced to update it, and then when I update it doesn’t work at all and I don’t carry cash around this is more of an inconvenience then it is being convenient

Thought this would be so helpful. In theory yes. Went through the entire process of creating an account. All of this was fine. Everything up until the payment. Even used Apple Pay. Rejected. I will be deleting DexterPay .

They decided to update it and added more features which may DexterPay horrible… can’t even make a payment and when I do I was charged twice they really need to fix the bugs … laundry is not made easy !!!!!

Been loving DexterPay for a couple years at my favorite laundromat but this morning had to update and now nothing works. Won’t accept machine numbers…tried to back out and re-enter location # and won’t accept that either

DexterPay needs an update or something. It hasn’t worked since last week. Kept crashing, no payment options, at least let me use my rewards, it’s enough for a load…just sayin your app’s issues has issues…

App does not function. Would not accept payment, had to restart phone at every single screen, rejected both laundromat location and then machine number before restarting phone several times.

I came to my local laundromat, and unfortunately, the company they use is Dexter pay.. I did 6 loads with an average price of $6 a load.. they charged my card $10 for each load! So now I have to wait god knows how long to receive my money back. I will definitely be contacting the better business bureau first thing Monday morning.

I have used DexterPay a few times before no problem. All of a sudden I’m doing laundry on a Sunday and I paid $7 to wash my clothes…I check my navy federal and guess what there’s a $25 dollar pending charge on my account. Why would they ever charge $25 for a purchase under $10. I will be disputing this with my bank and I won’t recommend this fraudulent app to anyone.

I created an account, went to my email and clicked the activate/verify account link. My browser opens and says account has been verified to open DexterPay to login. I got to DexterPay and try to login in and it says to verify my account first. The website is a joke. There's nothing to it and no help at all. I'm giving up on DexterPay because it just takese in circles. So frustrated right now!!!

When DexterPay works, it’s fine however they don’t seem to test their updates before applying them to the dexter pay servers and they always seem to post updates on weekends and during the evening — the times when most people do their laundry.

Their system is offline again tonight.

Hint, don’t rely on Dexter pay if you need your laundry clean. Always come prepared with a pocket full of coins or go to a laundromat that uses better maintained payment system.

Giving this 2 stars because normally it works but tonight DexterPay is malfunctioning and not going anywhere when I select options. Super frustrating when you’ve already unloaded all your clothes

Please fix app. I have had no problems until tonight. I hate using quarters!!

Glad someone in the laundry industry finally stepped into the 21st century. My first time trying it. Super convenient and easy.

Worked just great for me- love that I’m able to use Apple Pay with it. Maybe the bug fix they did last month fixed the issues prior reviewers were talking about.

Great app! You can control the time and settings of any washer and dryer. No need to get change and insert tons of coins in machine. You will get a temporary pending transaction at first (mine was $1 but others have mentioned $10), however this is not the final transaction and it will be refunded after you transaction is finalized, which was couple hours for me

Worked like a charm.
