I usually work late nights, but yesterday evening I decided to take a break, order Spur using bolt foods and relax with a movie. After placing my order, which was a Big bear combo (with 40% discount costed R179.94), I set my self up for a restful evening. Later Spur called and asked me for the type of sauce I needed for my food and I responded to them. So I was looking forward to the meal and my night off. A few minutes later the App showed that the food had been prepared and exactly one minute later, the App showed that the food had arrived -'delivered'. Strange as it was, I went to check outside my house, just to find that the delivery had not arrived. The distance to Spur is short (about 5-10 min drive), so I gave the driver 20 minutes and still no one showed up - but the app shows that food is delivered. At this time I was very hungry and wondering if there was a problem. So I called the courier a few times and he/she hang up on me all times. I then waited a bit longer for 30 more minutes and decided to make some complaint via the bolt food APP. All I got was no response for my complaints. Till now, I still haven't received one response. My night off was completely ruined and I feel disappointed that I could send my money in good faith just to get cheated into thinking I would get the meal in return. I also feel robbed because I would have rather used the money to buy the meal myself than to wait hungrily for a meal that did not come. The customer service also needs improvement, in terms of response to situations like these because how can one wait soo long for just a simple response.
