We booked a stay at the Sirata beach resort in st.Pete, fl. for spring break from March 18th-21st 2020, it was listed on Snaptravel for a great price. After booking it however, COVID started to become a pressing matter. A PANDEMIC, if you will... businesses(restaurants and bars) started to close after we booked, so we did not want to take any chances due to local businesses closing, and out of concern for catching COVID. I thought for sure, there would be no issues getting our money back due to the reason for cancelling. But good ole snap travel refuses to give us back our money. We disputed it with our CC company and they sided with snap travel, due to there “no cancellation” policy. They even have a coronavirus reason for cancelling on their website, but trust me, you will NOT get your money back, even if you die, you will NOT be refunded... they said if the hotel agrees to refund them, they will issue you a refund, that is also a lie!!! Per the hotel mangagee, they did. Not receive ANY payment for our stay and assured us it was snap travel aka Priceline, who was keeping our money. I highly recommend using the hotel direct to book or with a better affiliation. DO NOT USE SNAP TRAVEL!! There was 2 other families of 4 that also booked the same hotel as us through snaptravel, and they also were not refunded and NO FUTURE BOOKING was even offered due to the pandemic we were facing!!!
