This completely failed me. I tried creating an account via every which option, and it continued to give me the same error message. I tried uninstalling, turned off phone and reinstalled, and it did the same thing. Without creating an account, you’re unable to create a ringtone, so.... major fail.

Let’s be honest shall we. TheRingtoner does not work on its own. It requires garage band to create and set ringtones. It also requests unnecessary information when it request access to Facebook or twitter “login” so that’s why it’s free it doesn’t do jack on its own and it wants to harvest personal info to sell to advertisers. Honesty is best policy and while I appreciate you trying to make a buck, it’s the dishonesty and lack of transparency that I take issue with. Bye Felicia.

It claims it needs “ garage band “ to set as a ringtone but I can’t see any option for that.
The only place it exists is in the garage band app. Never found an option to copy to ringtone files. So.... obviously it isn’t an option for certain contacts, let alone in general
As the default. TheRingtoner is useless for me.
Even the tutorial was no help.
Tried every single icon. None would copy as shown in the tutorial.

It’s a great app and I use it for a lot of things! Very professional and easy to handle. But I have one issue. Starting a few weeks ago there’s been so many errors every time I try to convert a song from my files into a ringtone, there’s always a 502 error. I’ve tried everything to fix it and it just doesn’t work. I’m wondering if this is happening to everybody else. I cant do anything!!

It’s a nice app and I love being able to open my photos/videos, but I can’t download the second app because my phone is one of the older gens meaning I can’t use TheRingtoner and this is the only app I’ve found that let’s you open yer camera roll

The trimming is abhorrent, I hate it. TheRingtoner itself works fine, but the trimming of the songs is horrendous, it needs an update. The ability to play the song at certain spots needs to be added, there needs to be a way to precision trim, to go forward or backward by .1 of a second so you can get the song to start and stop exactly where you want, and to see what second you're on in the song, so you can see where you want to start, for example I wanted my trim to start at 1 minute and 13 seconds, but this tool doesn't show where you are in the song so I had to guess and reposition the sliders a million times which is tedious. I have it an average rating because it does work, but it's not fun or easy to use

I have Ben through so many struggles on finding a fun ringtone but with TheRingtoner it is so much easier you just have to dawload garage band and here I a tip if you scream record your favorite song on you tube it will be much easier to get your song.

One of the few apps I came back to write a review about. Amazing, easy guided process. There is no better way to get a good ringtone. A trick is to screen record a good song then extract the audio with TheRingtoner . Awesome. 10 stars.

Even though you need GarageBand (because Apple TOOK OFF CUSTOM RINGTONES), this is literally the only one that’s easy to use. The trimming is bad, but eh.

TheRingtoner is truly amazing I was scrolling through TikTok and saw the video that said to download TheRingtoner if you want a customize ringtone and I was like yay and show me all the steps and now I have an amazing The Vampire Diaries ringtone and I’m like I’m in love with TheRingtoner keep it private going to make an account with it love it you should definitely download TheRingtoner

TheRingtoner is very easy to use. I created a custom ringtone in about 2 minutes. The ringtoner copy's the music from a song or video on your phone.

I don’t know why some people are complaining, Yes you do need a second app but making your own ringtone with GarageBand makes the quality crap and plus you can add any sound from your camera roll! You could have your voice as a ring tone

Ok so this is probably the best ringtone app I’ve had !! It’s so easy and like a lot of other ringtone apps have to pay for or any thang like that but this one is AWESOMEEEE !! I hate TheRingtoner! Do not recommend it!!! It doesn’t let me open Local Library and when u make a ringtone and u say set as ringtone, it says u have to download GarageBand!! I have an app parent lock on my phone, meaning I can’t download something unless my dad allows it! And he doesn’t like to be disrupted 10 times a day at work!! Ugh! I just want an app that lets me get my music without any complication to set as a ringtone!

I’m not sure it’s a fair review- I’m following the tutorial, I’ve done all the steps but it won’t apply the ringtone. The option comes up to copy to GarageBand but it freezes and doesn’t complete the request.

At first i was very happy because it allowed me to use a voice memo(of my baby heartbeat). But wont allow you to actually you the ringtone. You have to download an app that has nothing to do with what I am trying to do. Very disappointed

Its cool that you can easily make and ringtone from a video, song, or etc on TheRingtoner. Although it can be confusing to find out how to make the file a ringtone once you get to garageband and the trimming can be a problem, it still gets the job done 🤷🏽♀️Just needs more instructions for where to go after selecting your song choice.

I LOVE TheRingtoner. It's SO easy. It's easier than the last ringtone app I used. You don't need to connect it to a PC, you just need to use TheRingtoner "Garage band".
