The idea of InkittWriting is amazing. Based off the way everything is laid out and what you can—or should—be able to to, InkittWriting should be way better than Wattpad.
But it’s not.
The reason behind this is that NOTHING WORKS. I tried submitting the first chapter of a book I’d already had written on Wattpad, but the submit option never works. I just keep pressing it, hoping it’ll work, and it doesn’t. So I tried backing out and giving it a second go around, but still nothing.
This isn’t just in submitting a chapter. It also won’t let you use the suggested tags, or separate your tag into a second one without using the suggested options. It doesn’t let you save your story after you’ve filled out the title page. It doesn’t save the cover photo you use, even after you smash the save button over and over again.
Literally nothing in InkittWriting works. Idk if it’s a bug, but I’m deleting InkittWriting until it’s fixed. I’ve already got a profile on Wattpad that’s going well for me, and it’s just not worth it to mess with this one, too.
Don’t waste your time until it’s fixed, if it ever is. I understand it’s a new app and is still in development, but what’s the point of letting people download it if there’s actually nothing they can do on it.
Nice, but..

It’s a great app, it’s easy to write on and create new works! I enjoyed my time using it to write, but I do have one large problem with it. As a writer I tend to spend a lot of time focusing on creating my stories and putting much effort into them. Sadly, this morning I awoke to one of the chapters completely gone. I checked the revision history but there was nothing there. I later found out that I had to submit a chapter in order to finish it. I suggest adding in an automatic save feature so a writer can pick up where they left off without having to awake and find out they’ve lost hours of work because they didn’t submit it when it wasn’t fully done. Again, it’s a good app but I’m not happy with the fact there isn’t an automatic save system.

This is app has a good layout and it’s very easy to use. When using InkittWriting I enjoy about 75% of it the other 25% is frustration. I have two things that keep me from making this a 4 or 5 star app, and hopefully later on it’s something that can be fixed. One; Ten minutes into typing the typing speed begins to become very lagging and slow, and I mess up on my wording a lot more, which can be a little frustrating. Two; Every time I go to fix a mistake InkittWriting completely logs me out and my progress on a chapter or the chapter itself deletes, and of course that’s very upsetting and aggravating to keep dealing with.
Needs work

I downloaded InkittWriting thinking I could edit my stories on the go not using the website. But it seems any edits made on the site will not sync to InkittWriting . I made several changes to the story via the Inkitt site that have not shown up in InkittWriting , which is useless if I want to do any more editing. Will it erase the changes I’d already made by the site if I attempt to save new ones in InkittWriting ?
It’s a great concept but if the changes made between the two platforms refuse to automatically sync up, it’s kind of worthless.
The idea of InkittWriting is amazing and I love it. I’ve started writing the first chapter of my book and it’s a little glitchy. Sometimes, in the middle of typing it will just kick me out of InkittWriting . Or when I try and save something it kicks me out. The submitting feature is a little confusing and not exactly sure what to do. I would really just appreciate it if the bugs and glitches would get fixed so I can write my book without getting kicked off InkittWriting . Thanks :)
Works well enough, bad lag and no auto save...

I really like the formatting and how simple it is, it allows you to just sit down and write- whether from your phone or otherwise... The only problem I would say is the lag, especially when you type, is horrible. Also it doesn’t auto save which is a little frustrating. Maybe there could be some software added to fix these issues? Just a suggestion, other than that it works pretty good.

I’m really enjoying InkittWriting. I like how it’s separate from the other Inkitt, so I can focus on my works easier. I’d rate it five stars, but a few changes to it would make a big difference and improvement to InkittWriting .
1: When you’re typing the words are too close together. I’d like it more if when you went down to the next line you didn’t have to skip a line to make it look better.
2: Maybe a function that already tells you what chapter you’re on, so you don’t have to type your title in the story section. The chapter titles in my book are longer and don’t fit in the chapter dedicated section.
3: An indent option would be very helpful. Hitting the space bar multiple times is a hassle for me.
I have only recently joined so I’m just getting familiar with InkittWriting myself, but over all I really think it’s a hit. Just make a few adjustments and it’ll soon be my favorite. :)
Excellent but...

InkittWriting works nicely, I like that it has almost the same features as Wattpad, but the only reason why I didn’t rate the full five stars is because for the description it only limits to 200 characters. I would like for Inkitt to eliminate that feature and have the description to be without limits. Also I would like to have the automatic saved feature. Anyway, InkittWriting works great! I also love how there’s two apps, one for writing and the other for reading.
Just a Suggestion

I've been using InkittWriting for a few weeks now and it's amazing! I love how it lays out all the chapters and you get to customize the story that the readers see. However, I've never written on my phone it tablet before and that makes it kind of difficult to really get much work done. So, I just had a suggestion: what if Inkitt Writing was on computers and laptops, either as an app or a website? It would make it much easier. Thanks for reading!
While I’m writing the words are shaky & they disappear while I’m writing If I pull the screen down I will see them but Id rather the words just stay on the screen so I can see what I’m writing. The picture I choose will not save I keep writing Then follow the Save Steps and I lose it all! It seems to be a good app and I want to like it and give 5 stars God knows I’ve been looking for a good writing app long enough! Hopefully it will be fixed soon
One small request for the next update

If the developer reads this, please take this into the next update. When one is writing and doesn’t want to submit the work, please have a save button. And for drafts that have been submitted that got deleted; please have a deleted section in InkittWriting so that people who deleted either drafts or submitted stories can access them and recover them. Thank you
Good app but there’s a bug

Hello! I just wanted to say that InkittWriting is amazing but there’s once bug that’s irritating. Every time I write where I left off, the screen suddenly goes up making me not see what I am writing. Can you please fix this bug? Oh and I would be more than glad if you can add feature where you can photos or videos in your chapters.
Thank gosh!

I haven't been on Inkitt for any longer than a year and I must say I was using wattpad a lot more than Inkitt because I was frustrated that you couldn’t use InkittWriting to write. A lot of the times I don’t have access to a computer and it’s irritating. Being able to write from my phone was so much more convenient. Wattpad allowed that. However, I’ve always liked how formal Inkitt was. It’s more like reading a real book. On wattpad you have to deal with “authors notes” and stuff like that. Pointless dribble. Inkitt is more formal than that which is what I enjoy most. Now that you can write on your phone, I love it even more, probably just as much as wattpad and I’ve been on wattpad for 6 years. Not to mention, so far, InkittWriting seems to be just like the computerized version which makes everything so much more enjoyable.
Love, love, love!

Although I’be only been an Inkitt member for less than a year, I must say InkittWriting is life changing for us Inkitt writers. The original app doesn’t permit writing and publishing on mobile, which can be very inconvenient when wanting to change a small grammar error you catch while reading your own book, to writing down ideas that come to your head while in public and such without having to pull out your laptop!
I am so excited to start to use InkittWriting, and I undoubtedly will be doing so avidly. It’s efficient and fast for writing on the go or when you don’t want to draw attention to yourself, and or if you don’t have access to a laptop at moments when words are just ready to burst out of you.
Thank you for bringing this very wanted app and feature to life!
I really enjoy using InkittWriting to write storys and all sorts of stuff but I’ve noticed when I type for a long time or use InkittWriting for a long time approximately like 10-20 mins I’ll type and like 3 secs later it’ll type what I wrote but lag in a way and it’s annoying because I like to hurry and write my story but when I try it makes me wait and I’m some what impatient...lol but I hope you can fix that; everything else is fine tho
