THE KING OF FIGHTERS-i 2012(F) Reviews

First off lets just say THEKINGOFFIGHTERSi2012F is completely free! The fighting mechanics is great it's so fun. The game has so much fun modes too like tag team, arcade, etc. you even have Bluetooth play! The multiplayer is nice that it's at least added but unfortunately it's not the best. It will still work at times though so not much complaints. You also have to remember this is a mobile app the multiplayer isn't always that perfect. With the multiplayer aside the content is great there's only 2 alternate costumes though but it's not that worth it. The costumes are also hard to get so you might as well forget it. It's just a costume though so you have nothing to worry! The character roster is amazing! Everyone is included at the start which is great! The dialogues characters have before a match to is so fun! THEKINGOFFIGHTERSi2012F truly is great! Again this is mobile so you can't expect a story mode but still my final verdict for THEKINGOFFIGHTERSi2012F is a strong. 5/5! That's legendary a must own and especially the fact that it's free! Don't buy the full version what your getting in this free app is what your basically getting in the full version. You need to get THEKINGOFFIGHTERSi2012F and have fun with it. THEKINGOFFIGHTERSi2012F is so highly recommended for KoF fans! I highly recommend this to anyone! Even if your not into fighting games get THEKINGOFFIGHTERSi2012F! It's one of the best free apps!

Just gonna hop straight into this one. I desperately wish I could adjust the size of the buttons. Namely, the pad is waaaay too big and it’s obnoxious to try to hit the edges of that pad to pull off moves. Absolutely hate it. It basically ruins the game. Also there are points you can buy in game, except when you select yes when asked to purchase them the game thinks you pressed no, meaning no dlc characters. Hope you don’t like the 2 fan favourite characters that literally everyone loves to play. Let me adjust button size and make the dlc purchase-able. Maybe then this game could be truly good.

EDIT: ok so just looking at THEKINGOFFIGHTERSi2012F Store you can only buy the dlc on the paid version, which is never communicated. I probably should have read up on that one. However, the dlc isn’t free with the paid version. You still have to pay for it. In addition to the $3 for the base game. Worse, THEKINGOFFIGHTERSi2012F support page is just an ad for the game. THERE IS NO ONE TO CONTACT FOR SUPPORT. Jesus Christ. Idk how snk thinks this is ok. If you want The King of Fighters on mobile just download an emulator. It’s free, gets updates and there are quality games. Honestly snk if you put time into this maybe people would get your official stuff instead of resorting to illegally pirating games. Jesus Christ no wonder you nearly went bankrupt

My problem with this game is just how much of the action is obscured by UI elements and pillarboxing. There’s a large set of borders on each side of the display, a huge box that’s persistently showing faces and temporary goals... and since it hasn’t been updated for the iPhone X, there’s enormous pillarboxing.

And that’s sad because at the core it’s a very fun game with easily the most functional joystick I’ve experienced in a mobile fighter... but it’s very hard to get immersed in the experience with such a thick concentration of pillarboxing, borders and oversized UI elements everywhere.

Compare and contrast with Street Fighter IV: Championship Edition. I hate to even make such a comparison because I do and always have liked KoF more than SF, but they use the hardware properly. The entire iPhone X screen is used, and it’s used to showcase very minimal UI elements so that the screen can properly showcase the atmosphere and the fighters.

Not only is the user interface crisp and beautiful, but the action is smooth and lively! Unlike Street Fighter, it has that what-you-see-is-what-you-get feel. i.e. You don't have to study every character to know where the impact is really going to be! (SNK is good for that!) Bluetooth AND wi-fi competition! Also unlike SF, it's good to have a character respond to my every input without hesitation!! Glad SNK actually knows what dashing is, too –close the gap! Only things i would add is MUSIC VOLUME itself, and a d-pad input display during training for players to assess the temperament/timing of the combos. Thanks SNK! I got no problem now handing you $3 for Samurai Showdown 2, since you gifted this old school masterpiece to us –eventho i'd rather SamSho 3.

To any developer reading this I want to congratulate you, not only did you capture the feel of the arcade and previous paid versions but also made it free for its anniversary. I couldn't have asked for anything better. To any haters out there just remember you can play online with people in free version and paid version, best of both worlds!!!! As a final note everything in the game difficulty wise and graphics makes it feel really arcadey (if that makes sense lol) keep up the good work guys I hope to see more kof games in the future ^^/

This is currently my favorite iOS game. There's lots of Unlockables and online mode is pretty sweet. I hope the future SNK games will be as good as this one:) I purchased KOF 97 and 98, and Samurai Shodown II recently but they all suffer from bad controls and the difficulty for KOF 97 and Samurai Shodown II are both frustratingly and irritatingly difficult and it makes them unenjoyable to play.... But this game is the best among the rest of all current fighting games on the iOS. Thanks again SNK!

Even though I just played this game a few days ago and just learned about king of fighters, (I have one of the old king of fighters games on my Nintendo) I have instantly fallen in love with the series! Especially this game! It’s free now and it’s got some cool gameplay and a good roster of characters from previous games! Though I did wish there was a mode where you could pick who you want to fight. Overall it’s a good game!

If you want a great free fighting game look no further. This is exactly what I needed on my iPad. Incredible animation, wasn’t sure how fighting gameplay would work on iPad but SNK figured it out perfectly. Very addictive challenging game with so many features to unlock. The characters are so cool as always, Duolon is my favorite new characters. It doesn’t get much better than this! Must have!

This is an amazing fighting game for what it's worth. But you can't buy the classic iori or NESTS kyo because you can't buy points for some reason in the free version. Only in the payed version. Which is disappointing because I woudlnt mind spending a few bucks for classic iori. But this game has been out for years so I don't think this is gonna change lol.

I'm young gamer who wants to be a pro fighting gamer and I really like "The King of fighters" it's has one of my favorite characters (Terry) from another fighting game "Fatal fury" which I play on my PC and I really honestly love this game it could use a little work but is outstanding :) all I have to say is keep up the good work. Also I heard about another King of fighters coming out for ps4 in 2016 I'll make sure to get that too :) :). in other words BEST GAME EVER

I e been playing this game as long as I can remember - I love everything about this game - and the worldwide 1v1 is great! But..... WE NEED A UPDATE!!!! I don’t think this has been updated since the iPhone 6 came out - I now have a XR and the gameplay screen is way to small where I feel like I’m at a disadvantage when playing the game. I LOVE THIS GAME BUT PLEASE FIX IT FOR THIS REASON! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

This honestly isn't that far off from playing the game on an actual console / PC aside from the simplified interface and graphics. You can actually do the inputs as if you're playing with an arcade stick / pad! It's just kinda hard to do well. The game is free on the phone, so why not? There are a couple ads here and there but they aren't very frequent.

It’s weird because on my old phone which was a Samsung galaxy 7 this game worked perfectly fine. Since I got a iPhone 6 Plus I tried getting this game and I did, but the bad and annoying part I’m trying to get to is that every time I start THEKINGOFFIGHTERSi2012F it plays but once I click to skip the intro or let it play through the intro and try playing the game it kicks me off and go to the home screen. I tried cutting off my phone and even deleting the and getting it back, but that didn’t work. So what’s the problem, I need help.

Look I've played many fighting apps on my iPhone and most of them were poorly planned and terrible but this one right here is the best one I've played so far ever I enjoy playing this everyday you can even play online matches witch is great so thank you for making such a great time killer like seriously!!!

This game is fun and easy to play. Best 5/5 review from me. Hey kids if you see this game, Try downloading this game, even tell your friends to do the same. After that both of you players can click on Bluetooth mode so that each of you can play in multiplayer, and enjoy the fun.

This game is great I like it. I have been a fan of KOF I have had this game since my last iPhone but when I changed a new phone and redown load this game my paid character was locked again and every time I enter the game it shuts down by itself right before and after the commercial and I have to re-enter THEKINGOFFIGHTERSi2012F multiple times in order to play. It’s very annoying and can’t play like that I understand it’s a free game but this needs to be fixed!

This is a really good game, and certainly does match up to being an IOS version of a great game. The only reason why I took down a star is the sad fact that my favorite character, Saiki ain't in the game. C'mon Devs, at least make him another chara that's unlock able or able to be gotten from the unlock thing, same as with Red Kyo and Iori.

Hey devs, thanks for making the game free, it's a lot of fun. I purchased KOF -I- and was frustrated at the lack of iPad retina support (despite claiming to support tablets) I am frustrated to find that KOF -i2012- has the same issue. It is a great game and would look fantastic with the support, please could you work toward it in future updates.

Love this game! Pulled up right after I downloaded it! Can't stop playing it! It is so satisfying to know that I can go to the Apple Store and download any cool app, and just play the game right off the bat! Thank you for this, made my day! I hope others join in and play yay!

Awesome game but there are few bugs to this that it won’t give me points for unlocking the DLC characters NEST Kyo and Flame Iori, and my old KOF-i 2012 app no longer works and I can’t play it again. Plz SNK I want my money back and fix the get points issue, thx.
