Scan not fully accessible

Developers please for the blind make the scanner audible! To give an example check out the free seen AI app for the blind, there is the channel barcode scanner, and it makes a sound slower and faster according to where you are at for the barcode it gets faster when you get near it and then automatically takes the picture if you had that audible it would be perfect thank you oh yes one other thing please give the option at the sign in to remember ID and password! Can actually be very tedious and difficult when you’re in a store trying to sign in from the perspective of someone blind who has to listen to it all sometimes the stores are noisy and you can’t hear thank you again

App is Easy to Use

I’ve only made two orders using the FirstLine app but so far it’s been easy to find what I’m looking for. I used the catalog I received in the mail to first highlight the items I might be interested in, then refer to it when in OptumPersonalCare . The titles for each category are the same on OptumPersonalCare as in the catalog including the product numbers. That really helps the ordering process. Checkout is simple with one click to submit your order. Much, much better process then other OTC companies I’ve used.

I love OptumPersonalCare it truly makes it very convenient and it’s easy to work with. I use to think it was easier to just call them and place my order because the customer service is amazing. Let’s give credit where credit is do. But once I figured out how to use OptumPersonalCare on my phone. This took it to a whole new level. Awesome!

I live on a low budget of only 800$ per month and this made it so helpful for me to get the items I need. There is no hassle. Just tap the item you need, say how many, and go to cart and pay.
I like how that have it so organized in categories so you’re not lost you know exactly where to go for anything.
They allow you to review the items before cashing out to make sure you did not make any errors.

Order with ease!

I received the catalog and had marked it up and folded pages, with the intention of going back & using this as a guide, to place my order by mail.

Out of curiosity, I downloaded OptumPersonalCare and created an account. I selected 1 item & placed it in the cart to see whether it was difficult to navigate options, such as adding quantity, changing qty, removing items from cart. All was done with ease.

You can search for items by category, easy peasy.
OptumPersonalCare even shows your available balance as you shop & keeps a subtotal of your items in the cart, clearly visible so that you can keep track of available funds.

OptumPersonalCare is fantastic. I highly recommend it!

Lousy company

This company is the one United Health Care chose to administer their OTC benefits for their Medicare Advantage plans including AARP’s. I think they are owned by a subsidiary. They not only don’t have an adequate selection, they don’t care & don’t want suggestions as to what to add. The worst part is that I don’t get a debit card so I can at least go to Walmart. I tried to buy some overpriced cough medicine last week & OptumPersonalCare told me that I had to buy at least $30 worth of stuff to use it. REALLY??? The only time I’ve spent that much at one time was at the end of a quarter when I was trying to use up the money.

I really love this additional person because my insurance . I’m able to get things for my health and we’ll being that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to purchase. At least not on any type of frequency . So I’m very thankful for this ability through here .

Great App!

OptumPersonalCare works great! It’s like getting online and doing it from My computer only I’m doing it from My phone. I can just pull up OptumPersonalCare and login and I’m on My way. Also I don’t have to type the website name in the search bar because it’s now in app form. I would recommend OptumPersonalCare! It’s great!

No info on products

OptumPersonalCare does not give any info on the products. It gives no info about each product, I.e., the disposable pads for $35 with no number of pads listed; the electric heating pad with no info on levels of heat, as in, low, med, high, or just low and high?? And no idea what material the cover is, or if it’s removable, washable??
I appreciate getting the products, but it would be helpful to know more about them.

It's very nice and convenient to be able to get health care products ordered from the comfort of your own home! They don't have what are called name brands per se but the items are just as good! Being disabled and having this program is a great advantage!

Since I have overcome actually getting in every time, everything has gone smoothly and received within a week, usually less. The products have been satisfactory.

Remove item.

Trying to remove an item that’s not on sale any more, I understand it’s not on sale I’m not trying to buy it. It’s the fact I’m hitting removed item and it wants me to contact support at 10:56 pm and I have to wait tell 7:00am when it’s a easy issue I can fixe when I know customer support going to treat me dumbfounded on a system issue not removing items after I buy and keeping it there. Also love the program just issue with app.

A lot of people are rating FirstLine Benefits pretty low but you type your insurance member id and name in lower case. It’s very convenient I love OptumPersonalCare. When I first signed on it told me I didn’t have benefits but when I proceeded the way mentioned in my comment it worked. Thanks

App said I didn’t even have an account. I just used my card at Walgreens last week. Not good. Couldn’t even get my balance.

App says Im logged in on a different device and also says my user id is with a different account. It’s weird.

Can’t sign in

The website will not let me sign in and OptumPersonalCare wants to send a text for code to my landline which doesn’t receive texts. I did call that number. They could not fix my problem. The website still doesn’t recognize me and OptumPersonalCare still wants to send a code to my landline.
I still can’t use OptumPersonalCare . But I was able to sign on by using chrome instead of Safari. So I can now use the website but not OptumPersonalCare which is fine.

need a cell phone to activate

Tried to create an account but OptumPersonalCare need a cell phone to text a code verification. People with no cell phone can not create an account as there is no alternative to this step.
Went to website as suggested. I was able to create an account through this portal and use the login info for the mobile app.
I understand work around on OptumPersonalCare is coming.

Unable to even log in

I’m guessing this company is being inundated with phone calls due to issues logging into both its website and mobile app. I was able to verify that I was using the correct username, but the application said that I was using an incorrect password. When I requested to reset my password using OptumPersonalCare , I never received the email that would enable me to reset it. Thinking that the issue may be specific to the mobile app, I tried the website. This time, I received an email containing a link to reset the password, but the link took me to a page that said, “This site can’t be reached”. When I tried calling FirstLine Benefits customer service, I received a recorded message giving me the option to remain on hold for at least 5 minutes or receive a call back. I chose the call back option, and received the call back about 20 minutes later. The call back was also a recorded message that asked me to press 1 to speak to customer service. When I pressed 1, nothing happened - no background music, just dead silence- I waited for about 3 minutes and finally hung up. So frustrating and such a waste of time!!

No code sent

I’m trying to reset my password with no luck. OptumPersonalCare keeps telling me they’re sending a code to my email address, which I know they have the correct email address. However, I’m not receiving any code. So far OptumPersonalCare is useless

Order # 0586699402 was ordered March 31, 2023. In the past it would take 3 business days, well I called last week and was told it was a busy time for them and I might not get my 7 items until the 18th of April. I need everyone of the 7 items. They already know how busy and of quarter is. Hire more people.

Every time I try to order Flonase, they tell me its on backorder and I should change to Fluticasone. I have been trying to order since the beginning of the year. I can run down the street and buy it off the shelf at Wal-Mart or Costco or CVS or Walgreens and on and on. If they do not want to sell it, take it off their registry.

Great difficulty in understanding support person with heavy accent. Drop down of year-of-birth does not go back far enough into the 1920's. Would accept a free trial of covid test. Do not want an account or to subscribe to anything.

First Line Benefits is totally inadequate for my needs. As others have commented I second their comments concerning over priced generic products. Why not keep the company you had prior that offered Walmart brands at least. You cannot expect people to want to stay with your insurance when there are many others out there to choose from where you can get better "freebies" as I like to call them. I suppose one reason would be if you know people are dissatisfied and choose to not order, that probably saves the company money. However, I intend to look closely and decide with whom I will go with next year so I will not care if you keep your low-grade product company if that is the kind of reputation you want.

Ordered same item 2 times it came in melted both times. They will do nothing about shipping without coldpacks so items do not arrive damaged. Now I am out that money since I had to spend over 30 to get free shipping. Bad first impression to a new user of the benefit..

This app socks. When it finally let's u log in after sending code. Order is placed. All I get is order processing. That's it. Firstline doest process mail ends at all. My neighbor mails his and hadn't reicieved 1st box in Jan 2022. So he mailed another in April still waiting on that. I use app. I'm still waiting.

Like another post about the company, their selection of products does not meet my demand. They have a poor selection of OTC products. And sometimes stuff I need is OUT OF STOCK! Another thing their medication comes in small bottles of basically 100 pills. Not enough to last two months, much less three months. Like their Folic acid, it comes in pills of 100 count, 400mcg. I have arthritis and take Methotrexate and I am required to take two 800mcgs everyday. That means a bottle of 100 lasts 25 days at taking 4 pills a day. Why are you out of stock on so much product? Can you do better? United Healthcare shouldn't have change companies and stayed with Walmart instead. For now on I will just get my products at my local Walmart.

While at first sight this appears as a wonderful benefit, we must look under the hood. First of all, the prices they charge are well over what we can pay at a store or other online sites; at times 50% more!!! Second, when you go over the $40 quarterly allowance, even by 1 cent, they do not dispatch the order unless you give them a credit card. However, when you don't use up all $40 dollars, they don't write you a check for the balance. I have left much more dollars on the table than the 40 cents they insisted I pay for me to get the order. Third, they don't accept Amex. So they overcharge but don't have enough to pay the Amex merchant fee. UnitedHealth should negotiate with FirstLine Benefits for better service and more competitive prices.

I agree with several of these complaints. Walmart was so much better on the item selection and brand names. First line benefits is always out of stock on the things that I try to order And they do not even have the selection of the brand names that we had with the Walmart plan. I am very disgusted with first line benefits. United health dropped the ball with First Line benefits. It’s a bogus rip off selling off brand items with inferior selection and poor descriptions.

The WORST! Only after finding the right products and quantities to fit your benefit allotment will you find out something is out of stock. No shave cream, no razors, no shampoo. One type of contact lens solution, but of course it’s out of stock.

I agree with the previous comments from other readers...lousy company. I have contacted Unitedhealth to voice my disappointment in their use of Firstline Benfits for administering OTC products for their policyholders. The previous provider they used was much, much better. My observations: 1) The varierty and quality of the products offered by Firstline Benefits are lacking, to say the least, especially when compared to Unitedhealthcare's previous provider. 2) Several of the items on their online catalog are typically "out of stock" and are not made available again. 3) Their $30 minimum for orders is ridiculous. The use of Firstline Benefits simply smells like a cost-savings measure for Unitedhealthcare operations.

They shipped me another person's order. Her name, address, order number, everything was on the packing slip. They tried to blame ****** When I pointed out to them that the error had to be in their shipping department since my name was on the box label and matched the tracking number in their system, the call was disconnected. Prior to speaking with them, I sent an email as instructed on the packing slip for errors. There was no response. On the second call, someone took my info and said I would receive a call back with instructions as to what to do with the other person's items and how to get mine. No one called. On the 3rd call, I was disconnected when I asked to speak with someone who could do something. Spent another 2 hours trying to get someone at UHC to help. Dead end there also. I guess I'll get in touch with the other person and see if we can swap. This company sucks!

They not only don’t have an adequate selection ..." My personal experience has not been good. United Health Care Advantage C program used to use Walmart for their OTC benefits and now use First Line. Its horrible, terrible selection on items, frequent out of stock items of common items like vitamins and mouthwash, unprofessional clunky website. Its so bad I feel its intentional to discourage people from using their Medicare C benefits. Walmart was superior in every respect. By using First Line to administer OTC benefits AARP/United Health Care took a giant step backwards.

Terrible! Simple plastic contact lens case is $6.50. No lens solution available on the app. Ten minutes on the phone to find out it’s $21 (but comes with the plastic case!). Unfortunately they’re out of stock, even at that price. This company replaced a very functional predecessor.

I've received two orders from first line benefits in the first order two products were missing. Their selection of products compared to Walmart is considerably inadequate. I have called several times to attempt to remedy my missing items and I'm only met with disingenuous personnel. Most Generic medications are not available as they were from Walmart to get better quality for your money.

Charged my credit card, then reversed it said they undercharged me for the item, not my fault/ tried to contact me ( they had the wrong #) which I've given the new # several times, called again several days later, order still has not been filled bcuz of there order.,.I give them a 0+ review, I hate UHC changed venders, One order was left outside the Senior Apt Complex and it was stolen. Walmart did deliver it that same evening, after I spoke to a supervisor. Other residents had similar problems.

So disappointed in the FirsLine Benefits. Their products are so limited - none of the items that I got from Wal mart are on the list. Don't know if it is worth even using. The Web Site is not that great either. Before all you had to do was get into the system and OTC was one of the categories now you have to find it within a category. Sure hope they go back to Wal Mart.

First line benefits suck big time! They are over priced, they are always “out of stock” with everything I need. My friend ordered first week of January & received some of her items late March. I really liked products better with Walmart. UHC can’t even answer my questions. They say talk to FirstLine & FirstLine says talk to UHC.

First Line Benefits offers vague customer service. I placed an order on 2/4/22 and have only received a FedEx tracking number the next day that shows only a label has been created. First Line does that, not Fed Ex. Fed Ex has never received the package to ship to me. Calling First Line is a waste of time[another 30 minutes today on the phone] with no new info, just another run around that the order will eventually ship someday! They refused to cancel the order, put the money back in my UHC account. So, this company has no recall for their bad service.

First Line Benefits is horrible. Their products are mostly off brands and overpriced. ALso I ordered Tylenol on January 6th along with other items. They never sent the Tylenol. I called 3 times. It was back ordered and they didn't know when they would get it. I had to buy somewhere else but they would not refund my card so I could order something else. They finally sent a notice that it's on its way on February 16th. $16 of Tylenol that I don't need.

i am on a fixed income and even though Firstline is convenient it is.way over priced. Majority of stuff is way over my allotted $60 every quarter. Also I ordered some things that brought my balance to $29. But am unable to order now because minimum order is $30. I don't have money on a card just for the $1. So I'll lose that portion until the next quarter. Ugh

Why in the world are my ordered products coming one at a time? Today I received two toothbrushes in a big box yesterday it was a small box of anti acid in a big box. Who is paying the shipping bill? I do not mind waiting for the entire order to be shipped. Saves money and resources.

I placed an order and Firstline charged the overage to my credit card. Firstline held back the order and refund the overage then I called customer service to find out what was going on. My order was then reinstated but charged me twice on my credit and still no sign of my order. I called again to investigate. No further action taken. At this moment, my credit is zero, my credit card is double charged and merchandise has no shopped. Tripple whammy.

Not able to login to my OTC FirstLine Benefits account that I have through UnitedHealthcare AARP Advantage. FirstLine agents have not been helpful. A grievance has been filed with UnitedHealthcare. So far I find no benefit with FirstLine Benefits.

hubs just got his catalog (from SSI) just about EVERYTHING he used to get from the SSI catalog are MISSING FROM: FIRST LINE BENEFITS catalog. WTH??? >.< The provider before Walmart and Walmart carried major brands like One a Day, Tinactin, etc. but GAWD FORBID First Line Benefit carries those. There is NOTHING in their catalog that hubs used to get from those SSI catalogs. WTH Social Security Administration and First Line Benefits????

This is the second time I have not received my order correctly, the packing list is correct but the items not. When I call they give me the run round.They will not replace my items. I get somebody I get somebody else order they get my order, or they fill the boxes with whatever they want to and just send it off. I get 210 in credits, so what is going on.
