NOT User Friendly

Ever since this app has updated their app, I’ve had almost nothing but trouble. Flagstar is a pain in the *** (for lack of a better term).
Majority of the time, I struggle for at least 30 mins to login, have to change my password almost every time and have even had to call customer support to get back into my account when it locked me out after so many attempts.
Half the time, Flagstar would freeze and not even let me try to login, other times it was because of the ridiculous new set of guidelines around password setup and security. For example….if your password isn’t something like GrandmaSugarbum@34mmmbop27hubub or the like, Flagstar doesn’t allow you in…..and who’s ever going to remember a password like that anyway!?
As well as password issues, I’ve wanted to setup the Face ID on my app for some time now because then I wouldn’t even have this issue; but nooo. Face ID is now only available for iPhone X?! So because I have an iPhone 12, I don’t get to login easily, I have to struggle every time I want my balance? Thanks a lot this app and developers. I’m not impressed; go check yourself.

Mobile app stinks

this app bank is the *only* financial institution I would rank less than 4, which emboldens me to assert that the mobile stinks and furthermore the website is difficult. I have 4 investment properties and have been managing them for 20 years, so I N a seasoned pro at this, and I cannot log in to this app mobile- every time in says my password or user id are not recognized.

I manage to log into the website, but only from my office desktop. I had to reset the password from my laptop and managed to pay the mortgage while traveling, and when I tried to log in after trying the mobile app., the website stated that I had too many failed log ins and need to reset my password.

So, I would avoid the mobile app, and wish this app would transfer the servicing of my mortgage to another company.

Apps continue to be frustrating

I downloaded the new this app for iPad app. It looked like there was a new format to login and improvement! But then when I tried to log in, I got a message that I had to download this app for mobile… the same old terrible app I was using. Today when I log into that app to my own account, I get a new fun message “Access denied. You have attempted a page for which you do not have appropriate credentials”. With these this app apps it’s like we have to constantly accept less that the best. Please improve these apps and make them work on the platforms they say they should work on. I like the people at my local branch, but in reality, mobile access is a big deal and it seems every interaction takes 4x the time it should.

Military Overseas

So my mortgages gets sold to this app and I have to set up my account only this app blocks foreign IP addresses. After finally getting access through VPN I find out they have made several errors during the transfer and both my mortgages are showing negative multi thousands in escrow. I break down and try to call only to find that the block international numbers as well. Set up a VOIP phone to call and get a hold of them, after hours of providing previous statements and explaining everything they say the will investigate. Three weeks later and my accounts are still not fixed. This bank has issues I would experience even if I was in the US but it’s even worse if you have to travel internationally.

Slow

It doesn’t seem to matter where I am or what device I am using that Flagstar is very slow and some time times out. It is very frustrating to do a deposit online there at times. I also get messages that states that Flagstar is unavailable. I have apps for Bank of America in Michigan first credit union they move with lightning speed. I am hoping that their supposable upgrade makes a difference. I just made a deposit with my cell phone and thought for a moment it was going to time out. It spooled for quite a while longer than Bank of America app that I also made a mobile deposit a few minutes before.

First Time Success

I ran out to the bank and it was closed. Tried to deposit check through the ATM and it was rejected. I remember the commercial about deposit check by telephone and contacted customer service to walk me through it and it was a success. I was saved a trip from going to the bank again in the rain on tomorrow, a flood has been predicted. Thanks for the service.

Not for I-pad

This latest update has ruined the ability to use my I-pad for banking. I thought after a few weeks or months they would have recognized the mistake and rectified the situation. Being that I have come over from Wells Fargo I feel this app really needs to step it up and get their software department to deliver. It reflects poorly on the good folks who work at the local branches.

Internal Transfer is glitchy

Flagstar has been great, up until the last update. Every time I try to do an internal transfer since then, the button to complete the transaction is unavailable. I have to wait several minutes, then the button mysteriously appears. This has been happening on my iPhone every single time I transfer funds. Never had any issues prior to the last update. Super annoying!

Adding to lack of mortgage account support

Didn’t know Flagstar does not allow for accounts that are mortgage only. not a show stopper as browser seems to work & thus can be paid accordingly though site. But it seems to reflect a lack of Sr IT leadership vision cohesiveness & customer experience. Yes, one missing account type (mortgage)showing this. It’s not an unknown limitation, it’s a purposeful decision on the design. This is not a difficult addition, but was specifically chosen to not be included. Now is a good time to add it. the website has the info. get Flagstar to pull the same.

Oh my goodness this app changed my life

I cannot explain in words the profound impact Flagstar has made on everyone who uses it. As soon as you download it a bank teller will be on to help you whenever you open Flagstar . They are also there to just listen to you, they pretty much double as a therapist.

Can’t sign in

I have been having a lot of trouble signing in with the new app. I had never had any issues with the previous app, but this one is slow and also when I try to sign in a message pops up saying I can’t sign in right now, to try later; but that has happened for weeks now. There must be a glitch hopefully they fix it soon! Otherwise I really like Flagstar , it’s very convenient!

Not happy

We are former Wells Fargo customers whose accounts were sold to this app. Flagstar is a pain — very limited functionality and not user friendly. this app has a lot of work to do ... I need to be able to take care of bills, transfers, etc on the go and Flagstar does not let me do that well. Super frustrating!

Update — we continue to be frustrated a year later. Flagstar regularly fails when we are trying to pay bills and deposit checks. So maddening and there are no branches near us so this is our only option. PLEASE FIX IT!!!

won’t let me look at my account activity

I know that Flag Star is trying their best but every time I try to look at my account activity the page takes forever to load just to show me a blank screen. I tried calling customer service, but that wasn’t much help either (they weren’t quite sure what to do either). This didn’t start happening until after the update:(((

New enhancements = big improvement

Face ID compatible, new landing page process to Account Summary page, new navigation button placement all make Flagstar more user friendly.

MyWallet feature allows me to link outside bank accounts and view the balances and activity of those accounts all in the this app app!

Clunky experience

I use the this app mobile app all the time to check balances, transfer payments, etc. I really appreciate that it works full screen on the iPad too!

However, the UI is pretty confusing. I’m never quite sure where to find anything with the combo of the bottom navigation bar and the hamburger menu with submenus in the top right.

Still haven’t figured out where to setup biometric authentication - why isn’t it under “Manage Biometric Devices”??

Better than website

Flagstar is the worst banking app I have ever used but it is still better than the website so I gave it a 3 star rating instead of 1.
The agreement that preceded using Flagstar is extremely long and you have to scroll down to accept the terms before using. Crashed on my second use. But after a few years of struggling with the web site and getting messages that it is down for maintenance almost half the time, I’m grateful that Flagstar sort of works.

Worst update ever

This new update has made it slower and more complicated to use. It's to busy for a mobile app. And I have to go through Flagstar Store and update every time I need to log in which is another problem. I can't set up face recognition nor was I able to log in. It has been nothing but issues they need to go back the way it was. This is way to busy! To east to make a mistake when you are in a hurry because of all the info and extra steps you need to do. Not at all a fan..

👎🏼 Improvements?

No improvements instead Flagstar isn’t working properly. Account activities will not populate and I have the latest iPhone and IOS installed. I’ve even tried installing Flagstar and reloading and still cannot view activities.

Worst bank ever

This is the worst bank. Wells Fargo was way better. When you run your debit card at some places, it will be pending in the bank account for days up to a week and then will go through randomly. I cannot wait to switch banks. I highly do not recommend this bank at all. Even the ATMs are our of service 90% of the time and even when they do work, you have to get through the 20 million questions they ask just to withdrawal or deposit money. If I could, I would give this a negative stars! It is garbage.

Navigation is off, Touch ID doesn’t work to login

Overall Flagstar isn’t bad. It just gets frustrating when I want to search my account for expenses (Account Activity layout) and when I hit search it gets me to the messages page. Every time. Also, my Touch ID stopped working for some reason and I can’t get it to work or find the settings. The description to activate it in Flagstar needs to be updated.
