Flagstar bank is the *only* financial institution I would rank less than 4, which emboldens me to assert that the mobile stinks and furthermore the website is difficult. I have 4 investment properties and have been managing them for 20 years, so I N a seasoned pro at this, and I cannot log in to flagstar mobile- every time in says my password or user id are not recognized.
I manage to log into the website, but only from my office desktop. I had to reset the password from my laptop and managed to pay the mortgage while traveling, and when I tried to log in after trying the mobile app., the website stated that I had too many failed log ins and need to reset my password.
So, I would avoid the mobile app, and wish flagstar would transfer the servicing of my mortgage to another company.

I downloaded the new Flagstar for iPad app. It looked like there was a new format to login and improvement! But then when I tried to log in, I got a message that I had to download Flagstar for mobile… the same old terrible app I was using. Today when I log into that app to my own account, I get a new fun message “Access denied. You have attempted a page for which you do not have appropriate credentials”. With these Flagstar apps it’s like we have to constantly accept less that the best. Please improve these apps and make them work on the platforms they say they should work on. I like the people at my local branch, but in reality, mobile access is a big deal and it seems every interaction takes 4x the time it should.

So my mortgages gets sold to Flagstar and I have to set up my account only Flagstar blocks foreign IP addresses. After finally getting access through VPN I find out they have made several errors during the transfer and both my mortgages are showing negative multi thousands in escrow. I break down and try to call only to find that the block international numbers as well. Set up a VOIP phone to call and get a hold of them, after hours of providing previous statements and explaining everything they say the will investigate. Three weeks later and my accounts are still not fixed. This bank has issues I would experience even if I was in the US but it’s even worse if you have to travel internationally.
