PhotoShare Frame Reviews

The idea of PhotoShareFrame is great. We bought the frame as a gift and the recipient loves the physical frame itself. But PhotoShareFrame is really terrible and frustrating.
For starters, if you don’t upload all your pictures to PhotoShareFrame before sharing them to the frame, there won’t be any record that they were sent. You can select pictures from your Apple photos app and share them to the PhotoShare frame app, and that will open the PhotoShare frame app and allow you to select the frame to send to and everything, but it won’t store the photo or provide any record that you shared it so you have to just remember what photos you already sent to the frame. Same thing if you try to use this with Google photos.
Also, even if you do upload all your photos to PhotoShareFrame in advance to have a record, if you are sharing to more than one frame, PhotoShareFrame doesn’t differentiate if a photo has been shared to one frame or the other or both. If it has been shared at all, there will be a check mark on it and that’s the only indicator you get.
There is also no way for the owner of the frame to sort their photos. They will appear on the frame in whatever order they were received, so I feel bad sending more than 2 photos of any given event because I don’t want them seeing 8 pictures of the same birthday party in a row when, for example, the frame owner has other kids and grandkids. If the pictures could be shuffled I’d be happy to send far more.
It’s a good idea but PhotoShareFrame needs a lot of improvement.

I really want to love this, but the iOS app is just awful:

- can’t select pictures from the native app and send them to the frame through the share sheet. When I try to select the PhitoShareFrame app from the share sheet, PhotoShareFrame opens but the pictures I selected are not shown. I just get the default view.

- no ability to choose a different album. I have thousands of pictures, and having to scroll through them by date is just not practical. If I could organize the pictures I want to send to the frame in an album through the native photo app, I could then choose from a more manageable list to send to the frame.

- no ability to quickly go to a given date. If the only way to select pictures is through a date-sorted list, at least give me the ability to jump to a date without having to scroll to it

- the picture browser doesn’t allow me to view the full picture, only the truncated thumbnail. Makes choosing between similar picture difficult.

So I ended up using a PC to chose picture, since the features I mentioned above are better supported. Note that I said PC, because the web app comes up blank on Safari.

I like the frame and display however your app is terrible. A 12 year old could write a better interface. Instructions are almost non existent and what’s there is very lacking and PhotoShareFrame functions do not work. Emailing a picture directly function worked once then no more emailed pictures arrived at the frame. Emailed another person so they could share photos to the frame. They downloaded PhotoShareFrame and followed instructions but the admin did not receive notification to approve or reject the new user. Without the notification there is no way for the admin to approve the user to add photos. So sharing with others is impossible. There are no instructions on how to load a video and PhotoShareFrame does not send the video to the frame. People are spending a lot of money to purchase this display unit that they can manage from their phone and expect the software will work as advertised. But unfortunately for me PhotoShareFrame doesn’t work. If you really wanted to provide a quality product and sell more you would have invest a little more money in the software developer. Very frustrated and there is no help provided PhotoShareFrame has no support numbers or text options. Buyer beware of this one.

I like the frame but when you upload photos from PhotoShareFrame , sometimes they appear in the frame and sometimes they don’t. If the frame is turned off, the photos never appear. The are supposed to be stored for 48 hours until the frame is connected again, but I’ve tested it several times and it never appears. I also tried emailing pictures and they never appear even though PhotoShareFrame claims they do. You also have to scroll through all your pics rather than pick from a folder like your favorites. Checkboxes appear on the pics in PhotoShareFrame where you have uploaded photos, but if your photos never make it to the frame, the checkboxes are still there. If you are sending pics to a family member you will never know if the pics made it to the frame or not. This is the main reason I purchased this and for this reason I must return the frame. I do not recommend this at all.

I have had PhotoShareFrame and the PhotoShare frame for over a year now. PhotoShareFrame is bad to begin with, not showing which photos have already been uploaded and not allowing you to select albums. Also, I was never able to upload more than 15 photos at a time, otherwise there was always an error with the upload. All that aside, I went to upload photos today and I’m getting a message saying I need to renew my subscription, and I’m taken to a link that doesn’t even work?! I already paid for the frame! Why am I being prompted to pay for a new subscription?! And the link doesn’t even work, so now my frame is useless since I can’t even add more photos. Don’t buy this product or use PhotoShareFrame, they obviously aren’t trying hard enough to create a quality product or manage the product so that it’s usable. Beyond frustrated.

Love the quality of the frame. PhotoShareFrame isn’t so great. It is easy to transfer pictures from my phone with PhotoShareFrame ., but that is it. The instructions that come with the frame are not good and PhotoShareFrame itself doesn’t allow you to delete pictures, change modes or control the frame at all. All controls ate on the frame itself. I have not been able to talk to customer support, is there customer support? In my opinion the Nixplay app is much better, customer friendly, and allows all functions of the frame to be controlled within PhotoShareFrame .
In short, once you set up your frame, PhotoShareFrame is useless for anything other than transferring your pictures onto the frame.

My sister bought this for my father as a gift. All 3 of us sisters live in different areas of the U.S.. So the idea of being able to send our father a picture of us or our families at any point and share a memory as it’s happening, seemed wonderful! PhotoShareFrame was easy to download, however when PhotoShareFrame gets access to your photos on your phone it is not in any type of chronological order (it’s a mess!) Your photos are all disorganized and it’s super challenging to find what you are looking for. This has absolutely been the most frustrating part of the picture frame.

Otherwise, the idea of this frame is wonderful. Maybe they will be able to fix this issue eventually.

My dad got me this frame as a gift and I love it! I think it’s a great way to share photos with family who are far away, and I like that pictures are cycled through so there’s always something different.

That being said, I absolutely hate PhotoShareFrame ( PhotoShareFrame). The UI is terrible, forcing me to only pick from tiny thumbnails of my most recent pictures. I can’t go into albums and pick the photos I’ve already marked aside, which is extremely frustrating as practically every other app that requests access to photos allows this feature. I haven’t gotten the email sharing to work either, so getting new pictures onto my frame is a headache. Additionally, the UI looks and feels just plain bad. It feels like it was developed in 2013 by someone taking an amateur coding class at their local library. The website is no better, but at least there I can easily pick out the photos I want from a folder on my desktop. Considering PhotoShareFrame is specifically for wireless photo sharing, you would think they’d make the experience of actually sharing photos easier.

I normally don’t feel strongly enough to write app reviews, but I really do love this frame and want to be able to use it without the frustration. Hopefully, I’ll be able to sometime down the line.

PhotoShareFrame has been very challenging for us to use. The initial setup was easy and pictures were easily loaded. However, on all of our subsequent attempts to load pictures, we are unable to select the frame we want to add the pictures to. We can see the frame as an option to select, and we can select pictures to add, but the frame itself will not highlight to add pictures to. Also, it is impossible to delete pictures from the frame on PhotoShareFrame . It seems as though that can only be done on the frame itself. Being that this is a gift for an elderly person who lives away from us, this is especially disappointing and challenging. The frame is great, but PhotoShareFrame is lacking.

This an easy to use photo sharing app, but it does not stack up to the capabilities some other apps provide.

Upsides: very simple and easy to setup and understand, even for my older friends and family. You can allow multiple people to upload photos to a frame, so my siblings and I can all send photos to my grandparents from afar.

Downsides: Once photos are sent to a frame, there is no way to see them through PhotoShareFrame . This makes it hard to remember what photos I’ve sent to which family members frames (I currently have 4 frames to send photos to) and I cannot see what photos have been sent to their frame from others who can also send pictures to that frame. This will likely lead to multiples being sent. I also wish there was a way to delete photos once they’ve been sent, as some of my family members will not know how to do this. I live thousands of miles from my closest family, and it would be nice to be able to help them manage the frame content since I’m rarely able to visit in-person.

If you are looking for a simplistic photo frame option with fewer bells and whistles, this is your photo frame sharing app. If you want one with more photo sharing options and one that allows you to see the photos that have been uploaded to each frame, you will have to look elsewhere, unless PhotoShareFrame is updated at some point in the future (which I sincerely hope it is).

While it is easy to upload pictures to the frame, you can only select pictures from your recent camera roll. You can’t open different albums to choose photos from (like your favorites for example). Also it’s hard to tell what pictures have already been uploaded. If I wanted to upload pictures from vacation months ago I have to scroll through months and months of all of my photos to find them. Frustrating when you have a mom who keeps requesting I upload photos from a long time ago and it becomes a time consuming chore to find them. PhotoShareFrame would be 5 stars if I could select photos from the albums I’ve created in my photos app.

This was a nice gift for my mother. The set up is very supportive and user friendly. Uploading is simple and assisted with video directions. My only problem is that it is unclear that the device can contain no more than 50 photos. A TOTAL of 50 can be uploaded ( versus ‘at once’, which is how it is described) and one cannot remove photos and upload newer, alternate photos via PhotoShareFrame , but only on the frame itself. This is not something my mother could likely do. So, no one can send her any new photos until I can get over to her house and make space on the frame. This is an unexpected hiccup in our plans for usage.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my grandmother and as far as I know, she’s receiving the pics we send her and she loves it!

The only complaint I have is on our end, when we send her pictures, the view of the pictures are quite small. In the instructions I remember hearing that you can tap on the picture to see a larger view, however, that didn’t work. I’ve tried different things but can’t seem to get that feature to work. Every time I tap on a picture, it just “check marks” the picture or “uncheck.”

Other than that, we are happy with the frame! I would recommend to my friends and family. I actually ordered one to have here at my own house!

PhotoShareFrame is easy to use and setup. It’s fairly bare-bones which is to be expected for the frames price point. There are places they added features that to me aren’t necessary such as allowing to caption photos. That seems pointless given most of the time the frame is at a distance that renders reading captions impossible. A feature is like to have seen was to see the frame ID from PhotoShareFrame . It’s stupid to have to go back to the frame to grab the frame ID. That is easy enough to include in PhotoShareFrame so another user could set up the frame on their app even if you weren’t physically at the frame.

I enjoy PhotoShareFrame and the frame but there are definitely things that could be better. I cannot figure out how to fit to frame for each photo if I choose to. So many photos are 1/3 background fill and 2/3 actual photo. Additionally, I have about 300 photos on here but many times it just keeps cycling through the same 50 and sometimes gets stuck on a single photo. The light often dims as well and then brightens back up and then dims again.
Still enjoyable but I wish it were a bit better.

We got this for my mom. It’s really fun to send photos and videos to her. Very cool that multiple people can send her things from their own phone. But it’s super frustrating that we can’t delete ones that we’ve personally sent. For example, my son sent her a video of him rock climbing and there is audio on it that bothers my mom as it repeatedly plays throughout the day. She can’t figure out how to delete the video and my son doesn’t have the option to delete from his phone. Now she turned the frame off until someone can get to her house and figure out how to remove the videos 😞 So PLEASE update PhotoShareFrame so we can delete photos we’ve personally sent.

This is amazing. It lets the whole family put their favorite photos on whenever they choose. I get to see photos that I have never seen before because their were taken by someone else with their cameras. And everyone in the family enjoys seeing themselves and photos they have never seen before as well. It provides the grandchildren with a path to talk about what was happening that day and it is carving those memories into their brains for life. It’s been a pleasure to have in the house. It is so easy to use that yes, even small children can use it easily.

We set this up to to give my dad for Christmas, added PhotoShareFrame to our phones and uploaded pics so that he would have pictures on it when he opened. It was very easy. PhotoShareFrame is quite easy to navigate. I will purchase more of these, it’s an awesome way to share pics without Facebook or instagram, since some people don’t frequently use those apps.

You have to plug it directly into a wall though, we had it plugged into a power strip at first and I guess it didn’t get constant enough power and it kept powering off and resetting.

It is SO easy to use!!! It is intuitive and user friendly. It is SO good that it influenced me to purchase several additional Photo Share Smart digital photo frames! I first bought two 8” frames - one for my mother and one for my mother in law for Christmas. I loved the frames and PhotoShareFrame so much that I bought myself a 10” frame and then before long I also purchased a 14” frame! I LOVE my frames and PhotoShareFrame is a big part of that! Also having the wifi makes ALL the difference. The digital photo frame I had before did not have wifi. Being able to send photos to the frames via PhotoShareFrame from my iPhone is SO easy! I am enjoying, so much, looking at my photos in my living room out on a table and desk instead of them being stuck on my phone - waiting for me to do something with them.

I am enjoying the Photo Frame. You have 2 options how to upload pictures. You can do it directly from the Photo Frame itself, or my preference, from my cell phone. From the cell
phone is easier since you can use the cell’s photo search function to search for photos by date, location or person. Send photos from your cell phone works just like it works for uploading from cell phone to say FaceBook or IG.
I bought the Photo Frame for my mom who has dementia. I’ve hung it where she sees it everyday. It helps her to see familiar faces and remember who they are and their names.

This frame is great. Well lit and displays pictures very crisp and clean. PhotoShareFrame , however, is so aggravating. I bought three of these frame for all the great grandparents in our family for the purpose of being able to upload pictures to all three of them quickly and easily so they didn’t have to worry about a thing. Nope! We just gave these out in the last 4 days and I have already uninstalled and reinstalled so many times! It’s so slow. Crashes constantly. Doesn’t load camera roll pics well. When it does load them, some of the pics display and then disappear. SO FRUSTRATING!! These things were expensive!! Fix PhotoShareFrame STAT please.

The Photo Frame is pretty good. Easy to set up and easy to operate. The screen resolution isn’t great but decent for the price. However PhotoShareFrame to send pictures to the frame is awful. Tapping on a picture you want to upload should be easy and fast but it is just the opposite... SLOW!!!!! Or just doesn’t work at all!! Adding pictures is time consuming if you can get it to work at all. Had I known how bad PhotoShareFrame was I may not have purchased the PhotoShare frame. I will most likely send the pictures by email now but I was looking forward to using PhotoShareFrame .

I purchased 5 of these frames for family this past Christmas. A couple of them had issues to which I called customer service. I got a few responses until I had an issue that they couldn’t resolve. They completely stopped responding! I waited a few days and put another request in (only through email so you know that it’s already a strike against them, products should have a number to call if they have faith in their product). To this day no response!!

All 5 frames are going back. I will not support a company that refuses to answer their customers issues and inquiries. Disappointed!

PhotoShareFrame just flat out doesn’t work. It crashes almost everytime I open it and I can’t upload any photos. Try to upload a photo inside PhotoShareFrame ? Crashes and closes. Try to add a photo outside PhotoShareFrame using iCloud, google photos, or anything else the recommend? It crashes and closes.

The only way I have been able to get photos to my frame have been via email, which is taking way too long. Such a pity, because the frame is gorgeous and I bought two more as gifts for my mom and sister for Christmas (opened mine early to test it - glad I did because I’m thinking of taking them back now!)

Would be amazing if it worked!

My whole family got the frames for Christmas and we thought it would be a fun way to share photos since everyone lives far apart. PhotoShareFrame is horrible. It repeats my photos as I scroll back through photos any further than the past month. I can’t access photos from a vacation a year ago and it’s ridiculously slow. I wish there was a way to choose which album I want to pick from instead of having to scroll through every single photo on my phone. I could narrow down my favorites and then they’d all be together and easy to select. It was fairly easy to set up and share the frame IDs but adding photos to the frame is a hassle. PhotoShareFrame needs major help.

If I could give PhotoShareFrame 0 stars, I would! What a complete waste of time and effort. The Brookstone WiFi frame that uses PhotoShareFrame works perfectly. PhotoShareFrame to upload the pictures is something a 5 year old could write and do a better job. The same 5 photos showed up in my 1000’s of photos which made it impossible to figure what to upload. When I did click on one, it would take 3-5 minutes for anything to happen and then I would get an error message that I needed to choose a picture. Also, there isn’t a way to pick your albums within your Apple photos so for anyone that has more than 10 or so pictures in Photos....forget it.

The frame is awesome but PhotoShareFrame is horrible! Although I was finally able to get photos to upload from PhotoShareFrame none of the other features within app work at all! Every time I click to add frame or invite friends PhotoShareFrame crashes, EVERY SINGLE TIME. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling, nothing helps. Seems like this is a common experience based on others low reviews. If all I was trying to do is upload photos myself I could accept PhotoShareFrame running slow, lagging etc but our reason for buying frame was the ability to send PhotoShareFrame to our kids so they can also add photos... don’t want to rely on the email route of adding.
Fix PhotoShareFrame so all features work properly please!!

This was a gift from my son and daughter-in-law who also purchased one for themselves. We thought it would be a great way to share photos and while the concept is good, there are some major flaws in PhotoShareFrame. My daughter-in-law keeps getting error messages when attempting to set up her account one of which is that her email account is already in use which it isn’t. I was fortunate enough to set up my account with no problem and sent her an invite which she received. I was even able to upload some photos. Good! When setting it to “Play”, it will only play a handful of photos — not all the photos that I’ve uploaded. PLEASE do whatever’s necessary to get PhotoShareFrame to work the way it was intended.

I got my mom the frame for Christmas. I just downloaded PhotoShareFrame , so I could send pics from my phone to her frame. PhotoShareFrame is awful. First, I tried to add her frame, using the number she gave me. It said success, so I started scrolling through my phone pics. Woah, big mistake. My photos kept repeating and it was difficult to look at them. I finally selected 5 (took about 10 min to find 5 different ones) and went to select the frame I set up and it was nowhere to be found! I tried setting it up again and again, Success! Not at all! I could not select it again. I naively tried about 10 times.
I also started receiving spam emails in my inbox almost immediately after signing up for PhotoShareFrame using my email. Coincidence? 🤔

I really like the frame and its features for the price point. Very nice looking, easy to set up, decent resolution. Only drawback is PhotoShareFrame. It is miserably slow and a little buggy. It would be so easy to use it if it didn’t take forever to bring up your photos and the time required to respond to touches when selecting is really not acceptable. Once you wait everything out the upload works ok but loading photos overall is very frustrating and time consuming. I hope there some updates in the works.

Disappointed. I was excited when I got the frame and set it up as PhotoShareFrame worked with little issues off the bat. Now I’m experiencing issues & it only occasionally lets me select the frame. Sometimes it shuts down completely after selecting a few photos. This would be awesome if it would just work the way it’s supposed to! I bought a second frame that I planned to gift to my mother for Christmas, so I could send her photos easily, but now I’m thinking of returning it because of PhotoShareFrame issues. I can email the pics, but some are coming in backwards! So frustrating! Please fix PhotoShareFrame !!!

With some software upgrades this could be a great frame. Wireless connection is good as is the display quality. Improvements need to include: * photo management on frame to allow for albums. * batch photo loading. If the Google Photos link was more robust for importing groups of photos simultaneously that would help. Another solution would be a non-wireless setup option to add photos from a menu card. Frame functions well. Hopefully PhotoShareFrame and software will be improved

I just bought 2 frames for Christmas. They were easy to set up and both are working great! Since different people are uploading pictures to the same frames, I wish there was a way to rearrange the picture order or a shuffle feature. Another request is a shorter than 10 second view (maybe 5 seconds?).

My husband and I bought two, one for each of our parents. They have something wonderful to look forward to all the time. We send pics, our brothers and sisters including the grandkids from all over. Then the kids will call and talk about what they sent. Absolutely great idea and since a Christmas they are still getting great use! Thank you!

I was skeptical about PhotoShareFrame and photo frame after reading some of the reviews. Well, they must have updated PhotoShareFrame , because I just set this thing up in less than 5 minutes and already have 50+ photos downloaded to the photo frame! Love that it even “dings” when someone sends in new photos!
