Frame Grabber Reviews

This is a wonderfully simple app to use and the image is great. The only drawback- and not so much a drawback as an inconvenience- is that there’s no clear way to save directly to my photos library. Maybe there is a way, but I missed it.
UPDATE: I was wrong: There IS a very simple fix to save directly to Photos. I just missed it. Creator Arthur Hammer responded immediately with an instant fix. I look forward to your next app, Arthur. BRAVO.

This is one of those apps that, once you use it, you wonder how you ever lived without it. Frame Grabber makes selecting and exporting 4K video stills effortlessly simple. I needed to grab multiple frames from a 4K video of mine, and Frame Grabber took all of the hassle out of the job. Saves time, and excellent quality… Highly recommended. (Totally worth donating ice cream!)

Why……are they not charging for this? It’s a great app and so easy to use. It does an amazing job with a simple and clean interface. No ads. No pop ups. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be charging for this. I would have paid. I’m going to donate but you should have been charging for this all along.

this app does what I aim for in my own apps: it accomplishes a needed task in a straightforward way, with a straightforward purchase mechanism. Nicely done. If you’re trying to choose from all the apps that do more or less what this app does, you won’t regret ending your search here.

I use this every time I post to instagram, and other things too. It’s easy to use, fast, and just awesome. No extra features behind a paywall... everything you need to turn your videos into images. Thanks for FrameGrabber Arthur!

FrameGrabber looks so clean! It’s super simple to use, but not lacking in features. I was surprised to see EXIF viewer built in and there are many sort/filter options to quickly track down the video you want.

Also open source and awesome privacy policy are the cherry on top.😁

FrameGrabber is great, but would really like to see an “auto save” feature to the camera roll instead of having to choose manually to “save image”... having this second step is redundant and slows the process down.

Multiple frame selection would be handy too before saving the whole lot.

I recently needed to do an animation project that required. E to film a video and screenshot every single frame. I tried using the photos app but it was a total failure. I tried other apps as well. BUT I FINALLY STU,BLED UPON THIS AND HALLELUJAH MY PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED. I put it in snail mode and boom was able to easily screenshot all the frames I needed (over 600 lol) TYSM!!!

This is a really good app for those who are trying to rotoscope on a mobile phone. It’s fairly easy to grab each frame and save it to your camera roll. If it gave you more options on file formats this would be an easy 5 stars but other than that I really recommend FrameGrabber!

So glad I found FrameGrabber! Saves photos at full resolution, not distorted like a screen; the equivalent of extracting photos on computer! My only tiny request is to some how add a way to save directly to Photos app without opening share tray

FrameGrabber is perfect for what I needed. I am looking to propose to my girlfriend and didnt know how to get photos of the event. FrameGrabber convinced me that I can get away with setting up a video on my phone and taking frames out of it. Thank you for the high quality app!!

Very easy to use and intuitive. I was trying to find a simple app that would help me capture high quality stills of HD videos I shot in Zion National Park with my new iPhone 12 Pro. The stills I was able to capture during my hike up Angels Landing and The Narrows are AWESOME. Great Job on FrameGrabber!

I tried “grab picture” another app. It didn’t even save the right frame. Like really?! This one is actually accurate and waaaay faster upload :D

I tried several apps that are supposed to make stops from a video. This is the easiest and most reliable I tried.

Great app, doesn’t bug you with ads and captures frames quickly, easily with no hassle so far!
