Polaroid 3.0 Wi-Fi Photo Frame Reviews

Previously: spent lots of time on this, uninstall, reinstall, WiFi reboot, etc. Called the support telephone number only to find out this is a known problem going back almost a full month or more and you will notice that Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame hasn’t been updated for 2 months. The software company that Polaroid “hired” to carry the brand name into WiFi capabilities is an LLC out of China that apparently has no interest in fixing this. So I will just return the Polaroid picture frame and never by from them again. Just shameful. This was an expensive gift from a brand I used to trust.

Prior review: Purchased as a gift thinking the brand name might make it a good product choice, I suppose this brand doesn’t mean anything anymore. I can’t even find a “frequently asked questions” website to attempt to get this thing to work. The real difficulty is that this was not an inexpensive picture frame. I will never purchase this brand again.

I bought a digital photo frame 15-20 years ago when they first came to market. I loaded it with photos and gave it to my grandparents. These new WiFi frames are so much more useful. My sister bought one for everyone this year and it is neat to be able to upload new photos to anyone else’s frame easily over the internet.

Initially when we got the frames there was a bug in the software which caused uploads to fail most times. It seems the developer fixed the software or the servers, so it appears to work reliably now.

I’m so impressed with these WiFi frames that I bought several more for Christmas gifts for next year.

The only issues I see with them is the software only works with Polaroid brand frames. After purchasing from eBay the only three remaining Polaroid frames apparently in the world or for sale on the internet, I am concerned that Polaroid may no longer be producing this product. They are not listed on Polaroid’s website. My sister got hers from Target but they are no longer available. So I wonder how much longer support for Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame will continue?

The fact that I made a $130 purchase on this for a Christmas gift with the amount of glitches and faultiness I have to go through, is ridiculous. Once I figured out the correct app to link to the frame (after downloading 2 incorrect apps already), everything was running smoothly. Was able to add about 40 pictures then BOOM, next day started receiving “failed to send” messages when I went to add more pictures. I deleted Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame & downloaded it again/unpaired the wifi to pair it again/turned the device on and off etc. This product is faulty. Do not waste your time. Now I have to return it and I have no Christmas gift for my Dad. Very disappointing.

Opened and set it up yesterday, but am now unable to send any photos. It will show it’s sent up to 99% then say it failed. I am a 20 year old who is pretty tech savvy and no trick has seemed to work. Seems like others had this issue as well, something you hope they’d fix by Christmas. This is going to be a present to my grandparents and my entire family should be able to send photos, but we are currently unable to add any more past the 20 I sent yesterday. This needed to be fixed a very long time ago. Disappointing.

Edit 12/26: For what it’s worth, I changed the rating from 1 to 3 stars because it worked the following day.

There were still glitches— like the wifi not connecting properly after being set up (had to turn the device off and back on), and I know it wasn’t the wifi connection itself because I had a second frame still connected to it. After uploading new photos, it still said the number of new photos plastered on the bottom right corner even though it cycled through them all.

I’m not sure what’s going on. I bought three frames for Christmas gifts and it worked beautifully for the first, but now I’m unable to upload to the other two. Majorly disappointed.

So thrilled with my picture frame …. Day or night I can enjoy memories, that brighten my days …… great gift, that keeps giving ! Anyone would enjoy pictures not stored away but viewed daily

Bought this for my mom. I’ve enjoyed how easy it is to send straight from my photo library. Now it says “please choose devices which you want to upload”. No matter how many times I link it, it doesn’t work. Unless this is changed I will have to get her a different frame with a different app. Which is disappointing.

My husband bought this for me and I absolutely love it. Seeing our pictures rotate through on a daily basis I makes me smile!!! So much better than a photo album that sits on the shelf. Can say enough good things!!!

Tried to upload images and it fails every time. Have restarted and nothing works. Will be returning frame soon. UPDATE: I tried uploaded at midnight and nothing worked. I charged the frame and let it sit overnight. The next morning it now allows me to send photos every time.

Just got this as a Christmas gift. You can’t edit a picture even though it says you can. That part of Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame doesn’t work. There is no way to get the notification of how many “new” pictures off the right hand corner, it shows in ever picture. Super annoying! The bottom left corner banner is annoying because it tells you were it imported the picture from. Ugh

This was a gift from children but we have not been able to upload any photos
Nor does Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame from IOS show up on phone - need to open in App store each time
I’m an IT software person so I’ve tried all the ‘tricks’ to get software to work, uninstall, reinstall, unlink, delink, etc etc
in addition the weather is for a Chinese city not our location
what a waste of money!

You would think Polaroid would have the best app for digital frames. When I try to add pictures through Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame , one picture, if I’m lucky will show.

My connection works well. I’ve updated my review to a 3 for now. If it works better, I’ll update it

Yesterday powered unit up and was able to send some photos. Tried again today and received fail to send message after 100% upload complete. Bought for Mom to have family from all over have the ability to send photos that she could view. Looks like we made the wrong choice in choosing Polaroid. Not happy.

Thank you for fixing the bugs. I can now add photos and see new pictures of my grandson on the frame daily. Love this

Tried to upload pictures to this frame a million different ways, from photos app, from selected album, only using 1 picture, etc. never worked. My sister can send pics no problem but no one else can. If only 1 link is able to send photos they should really specify that.

When you go to upload photos from your album you can’t see what pictures you are trying to choose from. The few that do show up load fine

I have linked WIFI. No issue here. I have linked the frame to the phone. No issue here. However App is not able to access iPhone photos for upload. What am I missing? I will change my rating if this is a misunderstanding of instructions and a simple fix.

I downloaded Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame but it’s not working appropriately. When I pull up my photos they won’t show in Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame so I have to guess what I’m picking. I’ve deleted Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame and re-downloaded it 3 times with the same issue. Makes sending photos to my frame nearly impossible. Very frustrating

Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame works great for me! I love the frame. We got it for a Christmas gift. I’ve been sending pictures to it all weekend.

I bought this frame for my mother-in-law so that we could share baby photos with her. She lives about 4 hours away from us, and the frame keeps disconnecting from Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame . She’s not savvy enough to help us reconnect it, so we’re out of luck until we visit again.

I just purchased this as a gift for my Mother and I keep getting g failure to send error. Wifi is connected, there is no support for this.

Unable to send photos to frame once linked to app.

I ran into having an issue linking my PDFX frame to my iPhone smartphone. I reached out to the customer support email info at pabrands.com and they were able to walk me through getting linked up.

I am hoping that they are about to fix Polaroid30WiFiPhotoFrame- once you download photos for the frame once, it only allows you to choose from those photos, instead of being able to add new photos. So, for all of you who bought the frame as a Christmas gift, choose lots of photos the first time you download, because that’s the only download you get (as of 12/13/2020). If they don’t fix this bug soon, I will have to return the frames I bought, and, at $130 each, it’s an expensive mistake. (And annoying, as I want to be done Christmas shopping!)
